Top 100 Singles/Albums
Glad that Celine's album has now stabilised after the big fall at the beginning of the year. Hope it can re-enter the top 40 again.

Top 100 Singles/Albums
I assume that Celine's album is still sold at full price while many other albums have been discounted last week. Well given it's just been released 2 months ago i can understand why it is not dumped alread but it could really hurt the sales for it now.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 8th December 2013
The video for "Hey Brother" has just been released so maybe it might still have a chance for No. 1 this week  And Leona still gainig fast, if Lily Allen had not gotten the boost from X-Factor "One more sleep" would be challenging for the top spot

Sunday Chart Predictions
I've just seen that the CD-single for "Somewhere only we know" is now availabe, and that 89p of each copy sold are for "Save the children's Philippines Tyhpoon Appeal" - so this might clearly be an advantage for Lily Allen to get the No. 1 back this week.

"The voice within" & "Run" (Leona Lewis) for Top 2 next week :w00t: :P

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 1st December 2013
So it's basically 5 contenders for next weeks No. 1, quite hard to tell which one will make it over the week. Though Gary and/or Lilly could get a boost with the ads shown during X-Factor tonight.

Radio 1 Playlist (20/11/13)
I'm really surprised they did not add Avicii "Hey Brother" as it's climbing fast on itunes and will most likely be Top 40 on sunday. The song is already a big hit all over europe, so i don't get how the UK and it's radio stations are quite a bit behind with this one.

Sunday Chart Predictions
I really did not expect the Poppy Girls to still be in the Top 10 today when they are all the way down to No. 30 on itunes, but of course their CD-Single will be selling strongly, so they might hang on in there until sunday. No. 12 for Celine's single is good but i had really hoped it would be 2 places higher today, but the X-Factor effect just kicked in sunday evening, so i guess that's okay, and the album might be on course for about 50k - probably a lot more than expected

I wonder if "The Monster" by Eminem/Rihanna is going to be a future Halloween Hit?

because it is worldwide released on the same day and they chose monday because the chart week in the biggest music market - the USA - starts on that day.

I think so, yes. In german speaking countries it actually is the first single, released as a Double-A-side with "Womans's World". She also performed it in the biggest tv show here last week and it really helped selling the album.

Shane Filan already out of the Top 40

The No. 13 and the No. 63 version combined put it comfortably at No. 10 currently. :)

That has been huge last week in the US and all over Europe, as it's been all over the news. Wonder why the UK probably missed it. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2013/...-lorraine-song/

This two versions combined put him around No. 40-42 on itunes at the moment, so the chance is still there, but not very big.

Why should they play a song in the Chart Update that is not in the Chart?

Sunday Chart Predictions
Ouch at Matt/Mel dropping down all the way to No. 34  Hopefully not out of the Top 40 until Sunday  Yeah at Shane Filan in at No. 7 :yahoo: I told you that there's more that counts than the itunes singles-chart, but nobody wanted to believe it, just to call it a flop

Hm, I've just realised that the pre-order for "Roar" has disappeard from the singles chart. But the single is sill availabe, so can't see why

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 25th August 2013
Well I am not surprised that the song is not so high in the singles chart, because it is part of a 4-track EP that you get for £ 1.99, while 1 song alone costs 99p, so a lot of people go for the better deal and get the whole EP, hence why this is No. 1 on the album chart. Plus of course he ha s a CD-single for this out, that has already done well on pre-orders for e.g. on amazon. And of course you can also get the whole package via his official homepage. Considering all that, I would not already count him out for a Top 10 position on the official chart.

They are still No. 6 on amazon, as the song is £0.69 there. :)

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 11th August 2013
Well, that might be right. In my country, radio stations quite often play "Bad Romance", "Paparazzi" or "BTW", but you hardly hear "PF" nowadays. But, when they play it, for example while I'm at work, everybody goes crazy, and dances and sings along.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 11th August 2013
Well of course more people are just dowloading one song if the rest of the album is not good. :P So these artists can be proud because they sold loads of singles, while no one wants their album  As i said this whole discussion does not make any sense at all, but well, this whole thread has become some sort of joke today.

Maybe "Blurred Lines" the song will sell more than "Poker Face" - but i can definitely not see Robin Thicke sell as many albums as Lady Gaga did with "The Fame". So maybe in 10 years probably more people will own "PF" than "BL" because they got the album instead of the single. However, this discusion is ridiculous.
