i think it's a steady lead. rihanna would have to sell approx. 2.000 copies more than him every day now to catch him. So if, let's say Olly does 8.000/day she would need 10.000. That given would mean she needs a 20% lead on itunes. All version of "WFL" put together she is now approx. 10% in front of him. I highly doubt it's possibly to catch Olly until sunday, even though the differnce then may only be 2.000 copies.

Omg, Westlife really are in freefall - down to 87 already. They seem to sell next to nothing at the moment and i wonder if their CIN performance this evening can at least prevent them from leaving the Top 100 until tomorrow. I don't expect any more than a low Top 40 placing on Sunday

If that's gonna happen i will cry all sunday long

MLJ will easily be No.7 in about 1 day ^_^ . That should secure them another week inside The Top 10 by Sunday. :D

Well in Germany it's like this: A track can only chart if there is a CD-single availabe or if the record company apply for a song to be chart-eligable and theerfore they have to pay a fee to the chart company. The charts are not compiled by numer of tracks/singles purchased but by turnover. For the singles chart e.g. 1 download=1piece. 1 DL-bundle = 2.3 pieces, 1 cd-single=2.3 pieces and 1 Maxi-cd-single (also called "Premium-single)=4.3 pieces. So it is very difficult to get a good chart position without at least a DL-bundle or even better a CD-single. Therefore many record companies do not want a song to chart before several formats are availabe - because this would cost a high chart entry. So it is not unusual that tracks are availabe to download - get very high chart positions on itunes chart e.g. - but are not in the official chart.

So "You da one" by Rihanna has NOT been released in the UK. Well, not a big surprise. The countries that got "WFL" instantly also got "YDO". Where the first single was held back(UK and Germany e.g.) it happened again.

I really hope "Lighthouse" does not stall at No. 28  It's been going upwards all day but now seems to be stuck at that No. 28 position.

"MLJ" is back up to No.6. Would really be crazy if it gets another week in the Top 10. And I really hope Westlife can get a Top 10 position. Its one of the best singles from the last years and they would deserve it!

"Monster" was also a Radio-Single in Austria and Germany after "Alejandro". It was actually played a lot at the beginning of the year but airplay suddenly stopped when "BTW" was releaed.
  10. Just can't believe all the hate that the boys are facing in the UK. C'mon guys get over it, that they broke several records and were extremely successful over a long period. But don't blame them and their fans for the fantastic time that we had together. <_<

He performed "Runaway baby" - Track 4 from his album. It's a Rockabilly song - ok to be on the album - but what a silly choice for an X-factor performance  Just don't know if the song will have an impact on the charts or even make someone buy the album.

The song is taken from her "Teenage dream" album. It's the 6th single from it, so I think it going Top 10 would arleady be a massive succes. The performance was just

I'm sure, even if One Direction plummet out of the itunes Top 100 by the end of the week, they will be No.1 on Sunday :D

well, still 2 weeks to go until the desaster can begin :P itunes has the song with the 25th of september as the release date
  16. Concerning the Adele "SLY" physical discussion: In Germany "Set fire to the rain" did not get a physical release even though CD-singles there are still very important for the charts. There a track will only be included into the official chart when a CD-single gets released or if it is DL-only the record company has to pay a fee to register the song to the charts. In addition to that the charts are not based on the number of units sold but on the sales volume. Therefore in the singles chart 1 download counts as 1 sold unit, 1 cd-single as 2.3 units. When "Rolling in the deep" got to No.1 in Germany it had very strong physicals, had there been a CD-single for "SFTTR" to it might have given her another No.1 or at least gone Top 3 instead of getting stuck at No. 6. :(

Just saw The Reason 4 are at 28 on the album chart with "Take it all" EP. Any chance they are going Top75 or even Top 40? I kinda get the feeling that now there are just as many boybands as back in the 90s. :o

The Guetta feat. Sia Song "Titanium" is already availabe on itunes now. So unlike the first 2 official Singles, this "promotional single" is the one to get a Sunday release :D. Let's see how it can do in the UK. It's already gone Top 10 in Germany and Austria where it was released on Friday.

The way David Guetta & Co. with "Little bad girl" are climbing up the charts and closing in to the Top 3, does anyone else think, it might eventually get to No1. 1 next week?
  20. this has become a real summer anthem this year all over europe (except the uk ...). the song itself was already released in 2010 but featured on the soundtrack of "the fast and the furious 5". soon it became a big download-hit and as airplay kicked in it climbed up the carts (No 1 in Italy, 2 in Norway, 3 in Sweden, 4 in Spain and Austria, ...).
  21. Pink - Dear Mr. President I'm Not Dead Surprised it was not released in the UK. It was absolutely huge e.g. in Austria(1), Germany(3), Switzerland(3), Belgium(1). It was the 5th single from "I'm not dead" there and also the most successfull one! :o
  22. Just had a look at the album charts at amazon.com where of course Adele is at No. 1 and no future release is even Top 10. Even tough albums by some pretty big names as Radiohead, Nicole Scherzinger, Ronan Keating, Britney Spears, The Strokes are our in the next couple of weeks, i don't think any of them can challenge Adele.

there are two 2-track-bundles available. one bundle includes the "explicit" version and the clean version. the other one the "explict" version and a bonus song (Power Trip). So in the i tunes chart the highest chartin version is the "explicit" from bundle 1, the second highest is the "explicit" from bundle 2 and the one in the 200s is the clean version from bundle 1.

X-Factor Finalists 2008 - Hero at 39  hope this does not re-enter on sunday. probably the similar titles of 2010 and 2008 confused some people.
