There has been a reaction to the big fall of "The Flood" on i tunes. You can now purchase the song and get the video of it for free!! The Song+Video-Bundle was at 1.99 i think, now you get both for 0.99 - the price of only the track alone. In the i tunes track chart we won't see the effect of this as you have to buy the "The Flood Album" to get the offer.

they have really rocked the i tunes charts the last 2 days. and i really like that the song got a "worldwide" release on the same day, especially that the big countries UK & Germany have not been excluded (as it happend often with big songs this year). They just got to No 1 in Germany and even surpassed the X-Factor-Winner's song that was just out 1 day ago :o . This song is going to be massive - and i really like it now :dance:

just listened to the b-side. it's actualle better than "Somebody". He should have released this as the A-Side :unsure:

Rihanna is getting closer on i tunes, but in very, very small steps. She might overtake Cheryl on i tunes within the next 2 days but there's no way this is gonna happen in this week's official charts. Think that's what the "way ahead" referred to - even thought some people might have the opinion i tunes is the official chart :rolleyes:

By the way, the song as now become No. 1 in the official German Chart. :blink: It has been given a physical release there a few weeks ago and many TV- and radio-stations featured a story about the song and Israels's story. This probably won't happen in the UK though unless someone perfoms it on X-factor or something like that.

according to itunes Robyn "Hang with me" is not out until Sep. 12th, the album following the next day. :blink: In the rest of Europe the single was out at least 1 week before the album release.

"Party Girl" EP No. 3 in Albums, "Drummer Boy" EP (including a Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup Remix :o ) No. 15 in Albums. 10 minutes later and Alesha is up to No.5 :o

Can someone please explain to me why frontloaded sales are always considered as "bad" in this forum. It's just like havin big sales on the first days of release is probalby not liked very much by many of you. It's like purchasing a song 47 days after it's release is better than gettin it on the 1st day. Very strange. Really hope you never liked a song so much that you could not wait to buy it as soon as it was released.

The song was released on i tunes yesterday in Austria and Germany and it's already in 4th place. Quite impressive on the day after it's radio premiere.

Really annoyed that "Alors on danse" has fallen again. i thought it would easily pass all those songs above that have been around for ages eg. Hey soul sister, ... Hope it goes top 40 in the official chart and this gives it a push. Otherwise 41 could really be it's peak :wacko:

surprised the karaoke cover of "club can't handle me" is so high. it's not even a real fake version, but just an instrumental. so if you want a vocal version you have to wait until the original is out

if you already baught 3 versions for 0.99 each and the whole album is for 1.99, i tunes would probably have to give you some money back - what they surley won't do. u can only use the "complete my album"-option when the price for the whole album is still higher than the price for 1 track from it. eg if 1 track is 0.99 the album hast to be more than that. when 1 track is 0.99 and the album would cost you 0.98 it does not work anymore.

with the speed it got there it should be No 1 in about 2 hours

Not too sure about it really being a joke. It has already happened in Swedens "Idol" season last year and in Germany they did the same at the last "Popstars" season. But the effects on the chart and the sales were not as big as you might have expected. In fact the original versions of the songs had more success than the short versions from the Tv shows. I mean 99p for a 1.30min track by an amateur singer is in fact quite expensive.
