  1. I think I would have struggled to choose more if it wasn't for Katy's latest era. I never took to 'Roar' and 'Unconditionally' just grates on me so much it's unreal. I haven't been mad keen on this ARTPOP era either, but at least I enjoyed 'Applause'. In terms of other songs from previous eras, Katy's released some real solid gems, especially 'Teenage Dream', 'E.T.', 'Hot N' Cold', 'I Kissed A Girl' 'Firework' etc, and 'Paparazzi' is probably one of my favourite songs ever, but saying that, I don't listen to her past hits all that much. I do like the dark depth in a lot of Gaga's songs and I often find Katy Perry's music a little too basic. I mean, 'Roar' sounds like it was written for five year olds IMO. But I think I'm going to go for GAGA.
  2. That Gary Barlow song is just bad! I can imagine it rocketing to #1 or #2 after he performs it on X Factor later too which is a shame. I'm hoping Ellie maintains her lead throughout the week but she might get replaced by Bastille or Lily Allen (Somewhere Only we Know) later in the week I think...
  3. 09 'Fallin'' 07 'A Woman's Worth' 05 'How Come You Don't Call Me?' 06 'Gangsta Lovin'' (w/ Eve) 05 'Girlfriend' 07 'You Don't Know My Name' 10 'If I Ain't Got You' 05 'Diary' 01 'My Boo' (w/ Usher) 06 'Karma' 07 'Unbreakable' 10 'No One' 06 'Like You'll Never See Me Again' 06 'Teenage Love Affair' 08 'Superwoman' 09 'Another Way to Die' (w/ Jack White) 09 'Empire State Of Mind' (w/ Jay-Z) 10 'Doesn't Mean Anything' 11 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart' 08 'Empire State Of Mind (Part 2 - Broken Down)' 10 'Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)' 09 'Girl On Fire' 10 'Brand New Me' Quite surprised 'New Day' hasn't been included, I would have hoped that it made the UK top 100 after Radio 1 backing! I think she's got a lot better recently, but she certainly has a few gems from before, but also a lot of generic R&B tracks. TSWABH and 'Brand New Me' are probably my two absolute favourites and I'd have awarded them both 11s if I could! 'The Element Of Freedom' is probably her best album! :D
  4. I think Hannah will get a rebound vote again this week so I can see Tamera and either Rough Copy or Luke joining her.
  5. "Singing a song as well known as Adele"?! Adele is not a song Gary! 'Someone Like You', maybe...
  6. Nicholas is probably one of the best vocalists in the competition. (Along with Sam B) 6 - Hannah 5.5 - Luke 8 - Sam B 7.5 - Rough Copy 2 - Sam C 7 - Tamera 8.5 - Nicholas
  7. Why are the judges surprised that certain contestants aren't connecting people, when usually, the theme of the week is based on something from a while back. Please have a current week!! 6 - Hannah 5.5 - Luke 8 - Sam B 7.5 - Rough Copy 2 - Sam C 8 - Tamera Loved that performance!
  8. My ears hurt. I hope Sam C goes tomorrow. 6 - Hannah 5.5 - Luke 8 - Sam B 7.5 - Rough Copy 2 - Sam C
  9. Very smooth vocals! 6 - Hannah 5.5 - Luke 8 - Sam B 7.5 - Rough Copy
  10. 6 - Hannah 5.5 - Luke 8 - Sam B Was a really good performance vocally but not one of her best. I'd like her to see her try something more current in the coming weeks...
  11. 6 - Hannah 5.5 - Luke I love this song and I quite like Luke's performances but I'm not so sure that worked too well.
  12. 6.5 - Hannah Not a bad performance but I find her diction appalling!
  13. This track is absolutely amazing. I feel like I don't have the words to describe how much I love it, the lyrics are so good! I have LOVED some of her back catalogue but I think this could be her best yet. Just amazing. This needs to be absolutely massive. I do prefer this version to the one linked in the first post though, but both are amazing. NcK2eAVPJM8 Out of the singles, I'd have to rank them in this order: Crying For No Reason Broken Record (Just amazing, so catchy and the video is dark) Perfect Stranger (Really love the lyrics and the production!) (Aaliyah) [Great track, putting a modern spin on 'Jolene'] 5am (Really good, catchy. Solid record) Katy On A Mission (So refreshing, you can listen to it again and again) Witches' Brew (Pretty much a perfect pop record) Easy Please Me (Excellent production and beat, lyrics slightly cringeworthy) Lights On (I don't mind it but I find it a little too repetitive) What Love Is Made Of (A bit underwhelming but alright)
  14. Really nice video here! Really hope it can allow the song to chart in the top 75 :)
  15. I bet Tamera will be in the bottom two next week, and then Hannah again in 2 weeks time! (I think both are usually good singers btw)
  16. Two very poor sing off performances there.
  17. 9 - Sam B 9 - Nicholas 8.5 - Tamera 8 - Luke 7.5 - Rough Copy 7 - Abi 6.5 - Hannah 3.5 - Sam C Please get him out of the competition!
  18. Another great performance by Tamera. They need to stop trying to make her seem like a sweet little girl though because she's not and I love that! 9 - Sam B 9 - Nicholas 8.5 - Tamera 8 - Luke 7.5 - Rough Copy 7 - Abi 6.5 - Hannah
  19. Quite smooth vocals but I found it a little underwhelming (but they did pick up at the end) 9 - Sam B 9 - Nicholas 8 - Luke 7.5 - Rough Copy 7 - Abi 6.5 - Hannah
  20. It was okay but I didn't find it that special. 9 - Sam B 9 - Nicholas 8 - Luke 7 - Abi 6.5 - Hannah
  21. Nicholas' performance was great and so effortless. Luke's was very good too!! 9 - Sam B 9 - Nicholas 8 - Luke 7 - Abi
  22. Great as usual. 9 - Sam B 7 - Abi
  23. I quite liked Abi's performance. It was Lana-esque in places! 7 - Abi
  24. '5AM' by Katy B is a fantastic track, how I wish it was so much higher. :(
  25. I would love for Rihanna to have another #1 single to her discography. She hasn't had one yet this year and 'The Monster' is very good. Will also be nice to see Eminem get another after 'LTWYL' should have got there.
