Big Brother: Secrets & Lies // Part III
I'm not sure, but people seem to have found them the least offensive of the ones up this week. I suspect Sam would have beaten them usually but he's been more confrontational this week.

Big Brother: Secrets & Lies // Part III
Why do they all keep saying Sam's never been up? He was up against Sophie and Dan!

Interesting how the original version of 'Summertime Sadness' is doing better than the original version of 'Spectrum' did IIRC.

I quite like 'Loving You' on first listen, the backing reminds me a little of 'Rolling In The Deep'. It'd be nice if he can do well with it.

Big Brother: Secrets & Lies // Part III
So yeah, now Sophie's up, I'm rooting for her or the twins to go on Friday. Shame Charlie's time is probably up but she's done really well, considering all the criticism she gets.

True, but I think it was a VERY delayed video and I believe music channels were showing an unofficial video in the meantime, which would have had an effect and would explain why the official video didn't do much. I have no doubts that 'Talk That Talk', 'Pour It Up' and 'Right Now' would have been a lot bigger if they received music videos. I do think that video effects can very though, depending how long the song has already been in the public eye for and how "big" the artist is.

SOPHIE'S NAN ON BOTS. Why was she not a housemate?

Big Brother: Secrets & Lies // Part III
I agree, he's just playing the sympathy card again and again. And saying he was going to give Sam money, who wants to do a lot of good with it but now not because he's been doubted by Sam... I am getting so worked up over a TV show it's silly  . I do hope Dexter loses a lot of fans though. I personally think Sam felt upset that Dexter wasn't being honest.

Big Brother: Secrets & Lies // Part III
Oh my, Dexter has just shown himself up to be a massive gameplayer! When he was in the room he was considering taking either one of two figures in the £40,000s or the £88,000 one, when there was clearly one or two higher than the latter, and then pretends like he doesn't want the money. If he doesn't want the money then why would he consider £40,000? Surely you'd go for the highest? Shame the whole of the public will probably still see him as a sweet innocent naive little boy.

I really like your signature Silver Rocket! -- Glad to see so many potential top 10 entries this week, and nice to see it's finally clearing out some of the deadwood. I don't mind The Wanted's current chart offering, it's much better than a lot of their other recent ones, but that might be because it sounds like a rip-off of Some Nights.

Predict: Lady Gaga - "Applause"
That's entirely subjective, everybody has a different idea what a good song is and isn't. Some people aren't going to take to 'Applause' and think it will miss #1, and other people (like me) really like Thrift Shop and am glad it got to #1. I'm a bit of a Lana loon but accept that she and her music is not to everybody's liking.

Predict: Lady Gaga - "Applause"
I think this might peak at #3 eventually, if it doesn't make it this week it might climb there after radio support and video play. I quite like it but it's far from her best. If she waited for one week after it leaked in the UK I think it would have had a lot more hype and could have possibly gone to #1 officially.

Lana Del RATE - The results
Hope you enjoyed the rate guys! Apologies I took my time over the past week, I've had a lot on, but I hope that my first rate was okay. :D I'll post up the complete countdown on the first post as well as a new post, with highest/lowest scores appearing on the latter. :)

Lana Del RATE - The results
1 NATIONAL ANTHEM AVERAGE RATING: 9.13 "Red, white, blue's in the sky, summer's in the air baby heaven's in your eyes" "we're on a quick sick rampage, wining and dining, drinking and driving, excessive buying, overdose and dying" "Dark and lonely, I need somebody to hold me. He will do, very well, I can tell. I can tell. Keep me safe in his belltower hotel." "Wind in my hair, hand on the back of my neck, I said can we party, later, he said yes yes yes yes." "TELL ME I'M YOUR NATIONAL ANTHEM!!!" http://i42.tinypic.com/o7r1xk.jpg So here it is! This is Buzzjack's winner, 'National Anthem' is your favourite Lana Del Rey track. It was released as the fourth single from 'Born To Die' and has enough Lana sass to help it stand out on an album of deep emotion, whilst still remaining an underlying feeling of melancholy. If did not receive much significant UK support other than radio 1 play, which helped it chart in the top 100. It incorporates rap influences in the verses. The track also uses many references including Queen of Siagon as well as The Hamptons (New York). Here's Lana's desire of the American dream is explored and described including money and love as well as partying, dining and 'overdosing and dying'. But perhaps, the masterpiece is the massive, sweeping and catchy chorus that will get lodged in your brain for months if you let it. Lana really shows her desire to be fixated with love, money and America. The music video used A$AP Rocky as John F Kennedy, with Lana representing Marilyn Monroe at the start, singing 'Happy Birthday' to the president and later on she was compared to Jackie O. Lyrics of 'National Anthem' strongly relate to these two characters with lines such as "I said get real, don't you know who you're dealing with" and then "Do you think you'll buy me lots of diamonds?" The music video shows a deeply romantic, intense and obsessive relationship which ultimately ends in tragedy and gunshots. The music video has received mainly positive reviews with critics admiring the work and the video has now gained over 24 millions views on her personal account and Vevo combined, despite 'National Anthem' not being released or promoted in many countries. The song itself has gained universal critical acclaim, with many liking the contrast between the sadness in the instruments and the euphoric chorus. Some have noted it presents a 'well-heeled' man and a blank canvas woman. The track garnered four 11s and ten 10s, meaning that it received exceptionally high scores with there being just one 4, two sixes and the rest of the scores being over 6. The demo is much more poppy, and the album version eventually used does sound a lot different. sxDdEPED0h8 JmyZTfTdRjY TOP RATES: 11 SceneofSIXcrimes Ilove1992 JosephVickers1D Jáhq 10 X leww X Dandy* Regina Nick F1 Cookie_monster Chez Wombat Ashley Jester Rabbit Heart CallumTheSats4

Lana Del RATE - The results
2 SUMMERTIME SADNESS AVERAGE RATING: 9.03 "Oh, my god, I feel it in the air. Telephone wires, above, are sizzling like a snare. Honey I'm on fire, I feel it everywhere, nothing scares me anymore." "Even if you're gone, I'm gunna drive, drive." http://i43.tinypic.com/2gwfdxe.png Missing out on the number one by a small amount is current single 'Summertime Sadness'. The track is taken from her 'Born To Die' album and is between 'Million Dollar Man' and 'This Is What Makes Us Girls'. Lana, in an interview said she thought that fans would like 'Summertime Sadness' in particular when it's on the album. It was chosen as her 7th single overall (6th from the dual album release) and is the fifth to some from 'Born To Die' after 'Ride' was released from 'Paradise'. It is quite an unusual release in the way that many thought if there was to be another single, it would be from the latter half of the album, with 'Cola' being rumoured. 'Summertime Sadness' is one of the more instant tracks on the album, making an impression on both fans and casual listeners. It has received mixed to positive reviews from critics, some stating that this is pretty much Lana on auto-pilot, where as others have said this is a catchy track with a great hook. Lyrically, it speaks of sadness. Also, being alone, and making these decisions yourself, whilst reminiscing better days. The verses are quite positive however, adding to the layers of emotion which are oh so frequent in Lana's songs, showing her as a confused songstess. She's cut off ties with her lover here and is walking down the street alone, being aware of her surroundings and feeling alive. Perhaps, the most telling line of the whole track is "Think I'll miss you forever/Like the stars miss the sun in the morning skies/Later's better than never/ And even if you're gone I'm gunna drive". The video features Lana and Jaime King showing flashbacks of the portrayal their relationship, ultimately ending in suicide for both. A remix was promoted as the single by Cedric Gervais, which is ensuring 'Summertime Sadness' to become a worldwide hit. It has currently peaked at #4 on the UK charts giving Lana her 3rd top 10 hit and her first top 5 hit. 'Summertime Sadness' actually received the most 10s and 11s out of all tracks, but was less consistent in scores than 'National Anthem'. Still, an average of 9.03 is absolutely fantastic and really highlights raters' support. nVjsGKrE6E8 akhmS1D2Ce4 TOP RATES: 11 NickF1 Randomfurlong Kath Acoustic 10 HausOfKubrick Liam X leww X Dandy* O Mie d'Bartoli Luciano Grebo Pavslut Ashley CallumTheSats4 vidcapper

£88,000?!?! I'd be happy with £20,000. Heck, I'd be happy with £5,000.

Big Brother SPOILER THREAD
I agree, Charlie's the most modest , but hey, she probably wasn't going to survive Friday if she was up anyway, so if she does get the money and leave, at least she's left with money I guess. I'd rather her and Sam got money out of all the housemates left. Would love Charlie in the final though. She might have enough fans to not let her finish last.

Big Brother: Secrets & Lies // Part III
I'm sorry but this SQUAD HQ task is ridiculous and hilarious in equal amounts  , the voices on the phone to the housemates, and the fact that the shopping is tied up on a chair with the laser going towards it with Sam and Gina tied together on chairs is quite surreal. I feel like I'm losing sanity (although I don't feel like I had much of that in the first place.)

I actually see myself agreeing with John McCririck on BOTS. Oh GOD things have got bad.

Big Brother: Secrets & Lies // Part III
I'm waiting for Charlie to get absolutely slaughtered by this week's edits. Also, waiting for Gina to let rip about Charlie in the diary room. She's clever, I think she listens to the amount of boos people get that are up for eviction, as well as monitoring who is in the bottom two but manages to just survive, because I think she likes to agree with the public to keep them on her side.

Big Brother: Secrets & Lies // Part III
I've seen so many comments online about how Charlie is using Dexter and how he is sweet and innocent and that she is devious and manipulative. Surely people would be able to see it's the other way around?

I hope to GOD that the twins go. But realistically, I think it's goodbye Charlie. I've seen so many comments online about how she's used Dexter. Vom. :(
