    :kink:

I was just so tired of that basic and safe 'pandering to Capital FM' pop sound at the time. Jason Derulo - 'Want To Want Me' is another one that springs to mind. It just does absolutely nothing for me I'm afraid. 'Only You' could possibly fall below it in time as that peaked on first listen for me and the drop got pretty annoying but idk.

Black Magic is pop perfection though.

I do see what you mean, it's very safe. I don't think they had much choice at the time though. After being away for a year they needed that "massive radio friendly pop song" to cater to the masses, and it clearly worked. If they released a similar song to Move they probably would have been dropped by now. That's how important Black Magic was to them.

  3. Kramer didn't seem to be in it as much as the others in the earlier seasons, he certainly didn't socialise with them at the beginning. Of course, he's virtually everywhere in the later seasons. :D

You could tell in the first couple of seasons that the writers weren't sure what to do with Kramer, he was always the outsider of the group. I think it took the writers a couple of years to develop the character, it definitely took longer than the others. In the earlier seasons he's less crazy and doesn't do his famous "entrance".

This video shows all his entrances...

    SO MUCH SLIDING. :D

  4. I guess I just love the bottle episodes, and the fact it was done in real time! :D

It also has this classic Jerry and George scene...

    Classic George!

I do like The Chinese Restaurant, but it's a bit slow at times. No Kramer either. :(

  5. I love Seinfeld, brilliant show! :D

My top 10 favourite episodes are:

    1. The Contest

    2. The Soup Nazi

    3. The Yada Yada

    4. The Mango

    5. The Puffy Shirt

    6. The Sniffing Accountant

    7. The Marine Biologist

    8. The Hamptons

    9. The Cafe

    10. The Chinese Restaurant

Season 5 is my favourite season.

Great choices there, although I personally wouldn't have The Chinese Restaurant that high. I don't mind it but I've always found a tad overrated tbh.

I love S5 as well, definitely one of my favourite seasons!

  6. Tyson can say what he wants regarding his last fight but it was a horrible fight and he must know he has no chance against Wilder.

Fury at his best would easily beat Wilder but obviously Fury is nowhere near his best at this moment in time. He could do with two more fights really.

Still think it's a 50/50 fight though. Wilder is nothing special at all.

  7. It is amazing. It speaks to the realities of the north. Great writers LOVE it.

I've given it a good chance in the past because my family seemed to like it, but I've always found it so boring and dull to watch. Never found it funny or entertaining at all tbh.

Seinfield is a VERY American show. It isn't universal. And yes, it is very EXCLUSIVE - it shows its age a LOT. Not an inclusive show at all

I've heard people say Seinfeld is too "American" or it's too "Jewish", and they're such lazy assumptions!

It's no more American than say Friends, Cheers, Frasier, Roseanne, Will & Grace or any other American sitcom for that matter. Poor scheduling by the BBC was the main reason why it never really took off in the UK. Seinfeld did have success in other countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Israel.

I'm convinced Seinfeld would have been very popular here if it was aired on Channel 4 and was given a good time slot like all the other big American sitcoms had in the '90s.

  9. the show really makes him seem a lot younger than he is!

and apparently he turned down 50 mill to do another series, so he must really want out!!

Jerry Seinfeld turned down over $100 million for a 10th season of Seinfeld - now that is insane! :o

  10. What? There's no ball! There's no football, except in Friends! Seinfield haan't got a single joke in the whole series

I honestly don't know what the hell you're talking about.

I've never actually seen Seinfield D:

Michael! hasn't seen Seinfeld either, but he's trolling again as usual.

You have to watch it though, it really makes you appreciate good comedy.

    Good!

    Saved you some time

    STOP TROLLING ALL THE TIME.

Well when its only competition is the god awful, loud, obnoxious, ego driven Seinfield for people with no sense of humour and the even WORSE BBT/ cheesy cheap rip off HIMYM with the most unbelievable character ever, Barnie, plus its rife sexism, it's no surprise it godstomps.

Just because Jerry has "an ego", that doesn't stop Seinfeld from being the best sitcom of all time. Friends does the soapy bits well, but from a comedic perspective, it isn't in the same league as Seinfeld! B-)

In footballing terms - Seinfeld is like Manchester City and Friends is more like Bristol City

  12. So these are their biggest trickle sellers since June 2009 (I've excluded Something New). Jump is a bit of a rough estimate, I reckon it's probably around the 310k mark.

    The Promise - 142,380

    Love Machine - 111,650

Sound Of The Underground - 101,033

    Jump - 87,589 (rough estimate)

    Call The Shots - 82,163

    Something Kinda Ooooh - 81,557

    Can't Speak French - 67,409

    Biology - 52,911

    The Loving Kind - 38,056

I'll Stand By You - 31,234 (pure sales)

    Untouchable - 23,022 (pure sales)

    Wake Me Up - 17,103

    No Good Advice - 17,075

    Long Hot Summer - 15,761

    The Show - 15,469

Walk This Way - 12,104 (pure sales)

Sexy! No No No... - 5,218 (pure sales)

See The Day - 1,366 (pure sales)

Life Got Cold - 322 (pure sales)

Obviously the figures for Untouchable, Sexy! No No No..., See The Day, Life Got Cold, I Think We're Alone Now and Whole Lotta History are way out of date as they haven't been updated since 2009/2010. Untouchable and SNNN aside, I doubt they've increased that much even with streaming added.
