  1. It's not an april fool, this is old news... I've read this on a couple of forums, way back in February.

Christina Aguilera's new song will probably peak at around 6-10.
  3. Kylie and Madonna  Blow all these new quirky tryhard wannabes out of the water, that's for sure! Kylie and Nelly Furtado (both would like to do it, been rumoured for ages) Kylie and Florence + The Machine  Kylie is working with Deadmau5... does that count?
  4. Can't Get You out of My Head's 1,087,000 figure was for the 2001-2002 sales... it has now surpassed 1.3 million :)
  5. #8, no less.

A wee mini-rant of mine from Flop of the Pops in reply to a member saying GaGa should wait 'till Xmas 2011 to release a new album: That's career suicide though. The "break" will have to be after Telephone, but then she's doing the tour that'll probably go onto September at latest. If it ends when it should end, which is July, she should stay away until December and release the first single then, a second one in March and the album after the second one. 'Cause let's face it she'll be completely irrelevant if she waits takes a year and a half break. She's not established enough yet to have a massive loyal fanbase (Madonna, Kylie etc) and there will be the new best thing then. At the minute she's surviving on hype. Only time will tell if she can pull it off.
  8. I remember Whatcha Say was #1 on iTunes for at least 11 days... how come it wasn't a number one? It was #1 from the Sunday-Sat.
  9. Only 3 of them are from this year... 2009 legacy :cheer:

Approx. sales Christina Aguilera 116k Stripped 1.6m Back to Basics 380k Keeps Gettin' Better 120k
  11. If you're gonna quote Kylie's sales, next time at least make them accurate. Light Years had sold 450,000+ Fever has sold 1.85 million Body Lanugage has sold 410,000+ X has sold 456,000 Ultimate Kylie has sold 1,100,000
  12. 1 million in the UK? You serious? With what? Theres no more massive christmas sales/single sales anymore. I Got You, lets face it, is barely going to boost the sales up a further 90k, nevermind 300k+. I doubt it'll make Top 15. #19-23 is more likely. I like the song, it's one of my favourite Leona tracks. I know all the songs on Spirit, but only OMH, Happy and IGY on Echo.
  13. Nope! Leona's album hasn't even gone PLATINUM in the UK. It will never go 2x Platinum.
  14. Echo = under 200k Overcome = 525k+
  15. The singles are really good, I love them! But the best tracks on the album aren't singles - you should give it a listen!! I suppose some good came out of it's failure. Had it went 4x Platinum or something then we would've probably got IP2 as the next album and Kylie as we know her today would've never happened. Which basically means no GaGa.
  16. Okay, so it's #1 on iTunes after less than a day. Can it hold off Everybody Hurts for the rest of the week? Can it go #1 on Sunday? Doubt it - it's lost Sunday-Tuesday sales and has no physical. Can it go Top 2/3? If it keeps selling at this rate then yes, I believe so. Your thoughts?
  17. An excellent example is Kylie Minogue's Impossible Princess album. Completely different than what she is best known for. Really personal, dark, moody, indie... it's excellent. A fan favourite.

LOL U mad cuz no1curr bout ur fave  Robbie has just won the Lifetime Achievement Award and his album is at £4.99 on iTunes! Dead cert for Top 5. 1. Florence + The Machine 2. Alicia Keys 3. Glee 4. Robbie - RKTVS 5. Lady GaGa 6. Owl City 7. Kasabian 8. Paolo Nutini 9. Robbie - GH 10. Mumford & Sons/Sade Top 15 - Jay Z
  19. 1.4m my a**!! Maybe it's shipped that. It hasn't sold over 200,000 copies in the UK (by far her biggest market) and according to Perez Hilton in January Echo had sold little over 100k in the USA!
  20. Yep it's true. I mean, I haven't heard their album but surely there is another track they could release? Show's how happy they are with their own album that they chose to release the same song time and time again. And no I don't think it will go Top 10, it hasn't got Katy Perry (essentially the reason SS got Top 10) and it was big on Radio the last time round, so everyone will be sick of it tbh. Everyone who will download it has downloaded it already and they haven't got the delusional stans like JLS/Girls Aloud that will download the song over and over to get it Top 5.
  21. Thank you. I read on wiki that it was certified Gold on 18th October. That was before Flashback (I think), Christmas and You Used to Hold Me though, so 80,000 seems about right.
  22. Hi, does anyone have the total sales for both Calvin Harris' albums particuarly RFTW? Thank you in advance.
  23. Cannot believe anyone hasn't mentioned 3OH!3, they're the biggest case!!!!! They got a #3 because Katy Perry was featuring on it. They've tried SO many times to make Don't Trust Me a hit and it hasn't cracked the Top 20 and they're trying again for the 4th time it must be! Let it die! You'd think they had no other songs.

Really? :( Hopefully she climbs up again when she releases the next single, the first one wasn't a proper single, they messed that up... so it can at least go Platinum.
