  1. Not really sure where to put this song because it's a combination of metal/deathcore with hardstyle/trance elements. Also they don't have any new album out soon so it's just a random song I heard a few days ago and I would be surprised if anyone out there can't help but bop their head to it, no matter what genre of music you like :D D1NdGBldg3w I'd love to see this song played on the radio or do well in the charts, has possibly the catchiest chorus on it as well and it's a meld of dance and metal that just goes together. Also the video is hilarious but apparently that's this band's style, not taking themselves seriously
  2. Last Christmas as the year end No1? would be a nice tribute as it never got to the top spot

going back over 20 years for this: http://www.officialcharts.com/archive-chart/_/1/1994-08-06/ Wet Wet Wet was okay in small doses, 15 weeks was a bit too much though and I wasn't a huge fan of the Flintstones tune being reworked but apart from that, I like every song. China Black, Regulate, Swamp Thing, Shine and even some PJ & Duncan from the original run. Probably the only person in the UK who bought the Maxx album as well :D some decent songs in the top 20 as well, CJ Lewis, Red Dragon and the fantastic 7 Seconds which was going to be a long runner in the chart. Infact 1994 was a pretty good year for chart music, could have picked a lot of weeks on the chart

Similarities is a new Biffy album, it contains all the b-sides from the Opposites singles including the ones that were on the vinyl releases. Lonely Revolutions was released in 2010 on vinyl initially but they ended up selling it on their website store on CD. Was digitally released just last month nice to see it's just outside the top 20 as a lot of Biffy's b-sides are better than the material they put on the albums
  5. Twin Atlantic's Free into the top 100 albums, at least something good has came from the single release. Shame that Free or Crash Land (not released) didn't make an impact on the chart not a fan of the new direction at all, sounds like 80's stadium rock crossed with a boyband chorus

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmanuel_Emenike - not actually sure if it's anything to do with him but his surname is how you pronounce it no idea why Royal Blood are in this, looks like a token rock band thrown in so they count all the genres. NME/Kerrang will love them, they will do nothing in the chart because it's not chart music. I might keep an eye out for their album though, quite like the song they have on the website
  7. their Radio 2 concert has been on the red button at times during the week
  8. I don't really think Love Me Again is that bad and I'm not really a chart person either. Guy's voice is a bit weird but it's catchy enough it's miles better than Blurred Lines which is one of the worst songs I've heard in a long time. Only No1 because of the video and because Pharrell sells records currently
  9. helped Only Revolutions to jump to it's peak position of 3 when they were shown on BBC3 a few years ago at Reading and Leeds, not even the full performance either this time around, they'll headline the Sunday night so most of the full show will be shown
  10. they have various European festival tours and some support slots with Muse in Europe in the next week so I'd say it's unlikely. There is some free time but I don't think they will be that bothered about chart positions wouldn't be like Warner to make a complete mess of promotion for a single though, abysmal job they did of Biblical which had much more chart potential than anything off Opposites. Blatantly waiting for Reading and Leeds to jump the album up the charts rather than actually doing some promotion with the band
  11. apart from Get Lucky which isn't great but it's at least a catchy track, spot on Let Her Go sounds like a MOR song sung by a kid :D and what the hell is Blurred Lines supposed to be? sounds like some sort of country bumpkin rap. Is it really selling well because Pharrell is involved in it? or is there some sort of ITunes offer where the unrated video is made available to the buyer? Amazing to think that can sell about 300k-ish in 2 weeks when it's completely dire
  12. 200-250k max I reckon for the first week, no chance it will get near Oasis' 3 day record should pick up sales when Amazon make it the album of the week for a reduced price and I would expect some supermarkets to put it on displays to catch buyers

anything that has "feat" in the title of the track and probably something that has appeared on a TV show or appears on TV a lot during the summer

Frank Turner at No1 on the ITunes album chart, remember watching him in his Million Dead days, deserved though as he's a very talented artist was thinking that the people who like talent in their music were coming out this week and then I notice william at No3 :(

depends what the song is like probably if it's something as good as Relax, then probably more likely if radio stations/TV aren't playing it if it's something from a campaign with a low quality song, then the answer would be no
  16. probably hardly anybody really, sort of my problem with the campaign as it's mostly kids who have seen this on Twitter/Facebook and have more likely decided to download it so they can be part of something. I'd be surprised if it's too many that have been directly involved with what happened in the 80s with the mines and all the other things that led to the hatred of her lived through quite a bit of her reign and I'm not a fan of her believe me but I just find it a bit sad to try and get a song to chart to celebrate her passing
  17. Sash! perhaps? not sure where the first two albums peaked but he had plenty of No2 singles
  18. sort of wish the campaigns were for a song that deserves it, Biblical by Biffy Clyro is probably going to be their first song to miss the top 40 since Eradicate The Doubt which was 2003 and off their 2nd studio album The Vertigo Of Bliss languishing down in the lower top 100 but will never climb enough and the EP didn't get enough sales for a top 40 place. The witch song will be ignored by Radio 1 as they did with the update and I'd be surprised if they played Fandango's theme tune :D
  19. https://soundcloud.com/falloutboy/sets/save-rock-and-roll album available to listen from there, I'm not impressed considering I liked the first two songs it just sounds like they've made an album and tried to stick as many genres of music on there as they can. I have no problem with experimentation but Patrick Stump's vocals are the only thing that really can save this album and for me he just fails. Then again I'm a fan of the older FOB stuff so maybe that's why. Such a shame as I really did like the first two songs but this will sit well with the more mainstream crew I think
  20. would imagine (no pun intended) the Imagine Dragons songs are doing well because their album is No3, No5 and No17 on the ITunes chart?
  21. because it has a club/house sort of sound to it and that's what sells nowadays I'm surprised that "feat" isn't some urban rapper who sounds like they are retarded like most of the chart. Doesn't really go anywhere but it's not dreadful at least
  22. something like Laura Branigan - Self Control as it's one of my favourite 80s songs. Think it got to No5 in 1984 although it would have to appear on an advert that is shown a million times or it would have to be a song ruined by somebody on X-Factor, so maybe not :(
  23. wasn't Big Mountain - Baby I Love Your Way not No2 for a while as well? sure I remember Goodier on the chart show going "who is at No2....it's Big Mountain" quite a few times during that summer like as if it was a surprise to see Wet, Wet, Wet still top :D
  24. that 1994 chart is miles better than anything the current one spews up nowadays Regulate and Shine, two chart classics B-) bought the Let Loose single as well although I was only young
  25. seems to have become a campaign now with Twitter latching on to it and there is many media outlets running stories about the song being No1 in the ITunes chart. I think it might just stay there enough to win the battle found my 'Psyche' album a week ago in among some other CDs, can't believe that's almost 19 years old :D
