  1. Ahh makes sense all this, I bet though if apple have some kind of exclusive to it they put it on the beats streaming service as they now own that and quite frankly need subscribers, maybe beats will also come available elsewhere rather then just the US starting next week. As for who it is, my guess is someone like Rihanna
  2. Lana Del Rey- Ultraviolence, coming June 16th apparently https://twitter.com/LanaDelRey/status/466594541500645376

Gruff Rhys is holding up very well

As well as the albums mentioned I'll be looking out for Sarah McLachlan, Santana and Lykke Li
  5. Interesting, amazon have it available to buy http://www.amazon.co.uk/Meteorites-Echo-Bu...ymen+meteorites Maybe the label accidentally put it up on some sites
  6. Seems the new Echo And The Bunnymen album got a digital release today

Blur and Oasis both in the top 40 album charts
  8. When is the Kasabian single out, guessing as it's not in the itunes charts, it isn't as of yet, doesn't seem to be able available to pre-order

Loads of new enteries in the singles charts yet the Frozen songs still holding on, as things stand 2 going back up and one staying the same

I'm surprised The Vamps are holding up on the album charts
  11. Boy bands and boy band solo acts if there is such a thing seem to have a devoted fanbase but they are lacking mass appeal with the exception of 1d and that never used to be the case
  12. Does anyone know anything about the rules in the streaming charts, for examples if someone plays a song twenty times a week would that be equal to the streaming equivalent of twenty sales or does it just count as one
  13. Lana's new single is on spotify in the US now so very unlikely to be her. I doubt it's Kate Bush, she will very much appeal to amazon customers and would sell a lot of physical copies.
  14. Yes Waves is also getting radio 2 airplay (presuming radio 1 also has it on their playlist), that should really boost it sales, deft contender for number one
  15. Lana has pretty much announced when her new single is out and pretty much slipped that her album in May. So I am still thinking Rihanna, probably want new music to sing for her tour with Eminem

Surprised that Christina Perri's album is underperforming, she strikes me as an album artist rather then a singles artist but the singles seem to better then her albums, strange
  17. It's not going to be Lana, she sells a lot of physical copes, going to be someone who mainly sells music on itunes, still thinking Rihanna
  18. Happy and Let It Go, when was the last time two Oscar nominated songs did so well in the charts
  19. Just in the last hour or so I have seen that Ed Sheeran and Lana Del Ray have both announced new singles, Ed Sheeran's is called Sing, not sure of release date but it's coming out in America etc a month before the Uk. Will get more info on Lana Del Ray's http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a56...~oAsvwZIvonwU7h
  20. Top 5, could make number one, her stiffest competition will be Kaiser Chiefs and Johnny Cash
  21. Hard to keep track with all the albums being announced, I read yesterday that Slow Club have a new album coming out
  22. The more I think about Ed Sheeran, he probably shifts a lot of physical copies. I think if it's not going to get a physical release, which the Beyonce album did, then whoever does this I would have though has to be someone who sells a lot more digital then physical copies

Interesting week on the album charts, I noticed the Everly Brothers have a greatest hits album out, that might chart. One album which I think isn't going to do as well as I would have expected is the new one from The Hold Steady
  24. I'm guessing 5SOS are another boy band, haven't heard the song, all these boy bands coming out of the woodwork since 1d came along and none of them will survive more then a year or two
  25. amazon are 79p quite often, I can't see many people paying £1.29 for a track, especially when you can get an album for £7.99, could see the instant grab thing becoming more popular when it comes to songs which have come out before their albums. Dance tracks will suffer the most because of this imo
