  1. It's not going to be Lana, she sells a lot of physical copes, going to be someone who mainly sells music on itunes, still thinking Rihanna
  2. Happy and Let It Go, when was the last time two Oscar nominated songs did so well in the charts
  3. Just in the last hour or so I have seen that Ed Sheeran and Lana Del Ray have both announced new singles, Ed Sheeran's is called Sing, not sure of release date but it's coming out in America etc a month before the Uk. Will get more info on Lana Del Ray's http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a56...~oAsvwZIvonwU7h
  4. Top 5, could make number one, her stiffest competition will be Kaiser Chiefs and Johnny Cash
  5. Hard to keep track with all the albums being announced, I read yesterday that Slow Club have a new album coming out
  6. The more I think about Ed Sheeran, he probably shifts a lot of physical copies. I think if it's not going to get a physical release, which the Beyonce album did, then whoever does this I would have though has to be someone who sells a lot more digital then physical copies

Interesting week on the album charts, I noticed the Everly Brothers have a greatest hits album out, that might chart. One album which I think isn't going to do as well as I would have expected is the new one from The Hold Steady
  8. I'm guessing 5SOS are another boy band, haven't heard the song, all these boy bands coming out of the woodwork since 1d came along and none of them will survive more then a year or two
  9. amazon are 79p quite often, I can't see many people paying £1.29 for a track, especially when you can get an album for £7.99, could see the instant grab thing becoming more popular when it comes to songs which have come out before their albums. Dance tracks will suffer the most because of this imo
  10. Ed Sheeran is springing to mind even more, he's due a new album
  11. Rihanna is touring with Eminem this Summer, so that makes me think she'll have a new album out before then
  12. Although it wasn't on spotify, 21 was on the streaming service that I subscribe to - napster, from its release
  13. Also know it's probably someone who uses social media a lot, I think we can immediately count out Lana Del Rey, look at her twitter account, barley tweets. Adele also not a big tweeter https://twitter.com/LanaDelRey
  14. The more i think about it the more I don't think it's GaGa, I'm pretty sure she has spoken in the past about having her music available to everyone, I don't think she's anti streaming either
  15. Taylor's on now, plus that was a label decision. Rihanna more likely, or it could be AC/DC who are rumored to be doing a brand new album, a little different but you never know
  16. So going back to the original article it says this [The artist] feels there are compensation problems [on streaming platforms like Spotify]. So it's someone who maybe isn't that big on streaming
  17. Whoever it is will be alienating a lot of fans, because not everyone has itunes.
  18. If it is someone releasing only to itunes, it's youth orientated act imo, a lot of older music fans use amazon. So someone very much with a target audience, rather then someone like Adele or Emeli Sande who appealsto everyone, even Rihanna has quite a large audience, that makes me think Justin Bieber or maybe shock surprise- one direction
  19. Only on itunes, seeing as I don't have an itunes account i hope it's someone like Rihanna rather then say Lana

Wonder if Lea Michele will get into the top ten album charts, she's been doing pretty well on itunes
  21. Kylie and Christina Perri should chart high, very curious to how Pixie Lott and Lea Michele will do
  22. Good week for singles- Kylie, Christina Perri, Lea Michele and Pixie Lott, intrigued to see how the latter two do. March 17 still looking epic for albums, no pushbacks or anything it seems,

Guessing Beck will be highest placed of new albums on album charts
  25. I reckon if they count streaming, then the singers themselves could promote their music even more via social media, it's probably easier for them to persuade people to stream a song then buy one
