Minneapolis/Black Lives Matter
Ah you again attacking me and accusing me of being racist without knowing my skin colour, family origins or family members. This was not a peaceful protest, I live in central London and was out earlier and I can tell you that some of the slurs being shouted at the police were not peaceful and they are still on Westminster Bridge now screaming at the police. You really should evaluate your words before calling people racist so freely you are a vulgar human being.

Minneapolis/Black Lives Matter
What’s the difference between throwing and aggressively wheeling over to hit the horse it still hit it and that was still the intention. The streets are chaos tonight in London. I support peaceful protesting not this behaviour that also may lead to mass deaths from coronavirus and end up with us back in lockdown.

Minneapolis/Black Lives Matter
Can you explain to me how even if the police were moving too fast with the horses it justifies a bike being thrown at a horse?

Minneapolis/Black Lives Matter
Oh please it would have happened regardless.

Minneapolis/Black Lives Matter
Bike thrown at a horse during the protests outside a Downing Street. Hopefully the protests start to be banned now it is ridiculous and public support will now be lost given people are behaving like animals rather than protesting peacefully for the cause.

Coronavirus Part III
I had stopped posting in this thread due to heated debates with other posters, however, have still read the thread as it is a good source of information. The rate of infection is officially 2,000 which has came down from the upto 4,000 per day we were seeing at the start of the month so effectively the infection rate has halved within the month despite restrictions being eased. Who is to say in 3-4 weeks time we won’t be in the position that Europe is now. I find it hard to believe only 2 died in Spain yesterday and there have been instances where their deaths shoot up multiple hundreds in a day for catch ups. You comment as if the U.K. is the only country who are flouting lockdown rules. There was an article yesterday that 20 people in Spain had a party, 2 were infected prior to the party, they then infected all of the party who then went on to infect 142 people overall and that town is now back in lockdown. The government can be blamed for many of the deaths such as care homes however I don’t think they can be blamed for people not following the guidelines as these people would have broken them no matter what Party was leading the country. I think the majority of this country are doing their best to get through this and following the guidelines and if people feel comfortable enough to go to a beach and distance whilst at the beach then they should be entitled to do that when it’s within the law people have been dealing with stressful lives for 11 weeks now and do want some sort of pleasure. I think I’m summary your posts are just quite negative and we should be working together as a country to get through it rather than just shitting on the entire country when a large majority of us are doing our best.

The next season back will be massive I’m guessing given how depressed everyone will have been for the months prior.

The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras
I’m enjoying this season in the sense it takes up time in lockdown. However, some of the cast are vile. Bear is not entertaining and really needs to grow up. I’ve seen on Instagram Kailah is now dating Sam Bird from Love Island and they are in lockdown together, so random given I don’t think this was filmed that long ago. Her old relationship clearly ended and it didn’t work out with Bear either she is a trash human being. I really do not understand why anyone finds Bear attractive either. Kaycee who won big brother is completely invisible as is Fessy. Bayley is still a spoiled brat just like she was in Big Brother. Bananas and Wes are boring and getting way too old for this show. I know many find Jordan and Tori annoying but I have to respect how good Jordan is as a competitor. Kyle is useless and adds no value to the show.

Coronavirus Part III
Another person who didn’t read the previous commentary on it. The point being discussed was why the UK cases are still high and my point was so many people are not following regulations due to a variety of reasons and it’s difficult to understand the mentality of some British people without experiencing it day to day it was nothing to do with how other countries view us. It is clear that many here are quick to jump down people’s throats without reading all facts.

Rooney your point in regards to everyone leaving London is very accurate basically everyone I work with left London and they will all be called back to work at some point.

Coronavirus Part III
Not really clear what you are getting at here given I haven’t supported the Tories or media at any point in this topic. Also very patronising in regards to the travel comment.

Coronavirus Part III
By explaining the thought process of how some of the UK public are to someone who does not live in the country when they were asking the question? Perhaps not get involved without reading the previous comments on it. Thanks for saying I’m rude though given you seem utterly vile yourself.

I’m not sure about retirement homes don’t really know the sector and had assumed they were the same as care homes which are being counted as far as I am aware.

Care to comment further as your post didn’t really add anything to the discussion?

Coronavirus Part III
I have just watched Matt Hancock stating that Italy and Spain do not include deaths outside hospitals in their figures. I wasn’t aware of this previously, is there any reason there has been no pressure in Italy and Spain to release these figures and is there data available to show how many deaths there have been outside of hospital since March to see the differences between them and the UK on real figures.

Coronavirus Part III
Rather than going round in circles like we always do it seems we agree the government are a mess so I guess that’s progress.

Coronavirus Part III
I don’t disagree with you on the nurses hence I said it wasn’t my opinion but when the media are running stories such as hospitals empty and dancing nurses on tik tok then it sends a message to the public the risks aren’t as extreme as are being made out. I think as you do not live in the UK you do not really understand the mentality of how a lot of people behave in this country they listen to the media more than the government.
-
Coronavirus Part III
The curves are a different shape as we don’t have a strict lockdown and people are becoming more relaxed. When you seen the images on the tv of Italy not being able to treat patients and the hospitals being overwhelmed yet that hasn’t happened in the UK and nurses are constantly on Tik Tok then it starts to relax the public and think there is not much of a risk so they will take risks themselves. This is not my opinion that nurses aren’t busy but the media has covered this opinion. You also have key workers clapping in mass gatherings on Westminster Bridge which again goes against the message. Furthermore, the Scottish CMO didn’t follow the rules neither did the guy who resigned this week. All of this is a toxic mix for the public to believe the risks aren’t as great as they may be due to government and key workers not following their own message. I think we are aware the government secretly want herd immunity behind the scenes but lockdown on the surface to appease. We have actually done way more tests than France also >300k so perhaps we are identifying more people at a later stage when there are likely to have been more infected two months ago but we just couldn’t test them.

Coronavirus Part III
You do know that I agree with you. I wasn’t personally getting my hopes up given what Sturgeon has been saying the whole time. My main point has been highlighting what has been said by people and how it contradicts what has been said by others. I have said all along that the government communication strategy has been awful. The next awful communication strategy is likely to be extended for 3 weeks on Sunday to the 31st May then they will say nothing on that day and review it sometime in early June but keep everyone guessing as to when. The most exhausting part of this process is the constant speculation when every review date approaches he needs to release a clear plan with proposed dates on Sunday like European countries have had to stop the constant speculation and lack of leadership and clarity.
