This time the Xmas #1 thread is 11 pages

This time it seems the race isn't competitive at all. Also, the Amazon song seems no more a potential contender unlike before, are less people using the Amazon playlists? Another consideration, how incredibly low are the Album sales! Do you remember when people like Olly Murs used to make their day releasing albums in this period, increasing sales week after week?

It's obvious now that Harry will win. It's a bit of an anticlimax this final part of the series, very predictable. Maybe it's true that not all tv shows are completely scripted, because I can't see a script more boring than this finale, with useless Faithfuls like Mollie and Evie who don't have a clue about how to play this game.

Watched all episodes and waiting for the finale. Here are a few comments: because I'm a communist and anti-capitalist, I'm glad that even in the US a big majority voted out the rich guy. I don't like when people who are not in danger still vote people out based on preference, for example Gaspare intruding himself in the Tolu - Lindsay fight that had nothing to do with him.

I don't understand why many people on the web are saying Harry shouldn't have been so accurate against Paul at the Round Table, because giving detailed explanations could move suspicions on him. Instead, I think It was the right strategy because he had to convince as many Faithfuls as possibile to vote for Paul, it wasn't a sure result, in fact even with that detailed speech, Paul still managed to turn 4 votes to Jaz!

Is Paul the Messiah? I can't believe how he managed to turn the voting away from him, there isn't any logical explanation. Plus, Miles exposed him with a great speech at the table, basically saying everything that the rules allow to point at Paul (avoiding to say they were both traitors)

This set of Faithfuls is the thickest ever, at this point I can't rule out they could vote each other off and leave all 3 Traitors unbanished.

Why are the traitors allowed to vote? This is a big advantage because they can direct the result towards a particular faithful, especially in the early part of the show when the vote is split. The voting should be secret, like nominations in other reality shows, with just the faithfuls participating.

It's incredibile how some people think that chart is the real one, it's like buying fake Parmesan cheese made somewhere outside Italy

This update puts Sam back to #2. Why does BBC radio 1 make an update program so early in the week when results can easily change during the week?

Would be interesting to know the split between streams and downloads of the top 2, and what streaming data is included.
  12. chartdj posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I'd say 21 pages is a good result for the thread

And that's it for another Xmas chart week, with still some uncertainty going into the chart show

At least we have a race this time, that's a positive note. This said, the OCC needs to have a look at the rules because we can't get to the point that Alexa decides the charts, exclusive songs are fine but there must be a voluntary action by the user to play a particular song.

I hope it’s not true that the BBC have such a discriminatory rule, there are countries like Italy where many people just start regularly working at around 40 years.. Fearne should not be forced to stand down for this reason.
  16. Also from these statistics it seems there are many more paid subscriptions than free users on both Spotify and Amazon services

How can a mistake like that happen? How are their systems for tracking video views working?
  18. Then, if that's the case, they should complain for having been beaten by Alexa's passive system. Personally I don't stay silent about things I think are important
  19. There is no huge reaction on social media, so again as I said before record companies aren't interested in the U.K. chart, it's like getting a bad mark at school on a subject you're not planning to do at University
  20. Yes indeed, it's Christmas time until January 6th and after that begins Carnival time (which is not Notting Hill Carnival)
  21. Alexa is the new kingmaker! When is Google responding?
  22. I used to criticise Italy for not counting streams yet towards the chart, but after seeing the level of arbitrary rules on the UK chart I'm starting to change opinion
  23. It's evident that record companies don't care much about the UK chart, otherwise Mariah would make complaints for all this
  24. In line with brexit and this sort of UK decisions
  25. I want to see all the sales and streams points of this song
