    Where?!
  2. It shows how far United have fallen that they're reduced to the role of potential kingmakers in the title chase. Will be interesting to see if they're still in the top 4 race after the Manchester derby.

Someone's suggestion of 60% being binding and over 50% being advisory for the legislature to examine seems like a fair compromise. This is bad news, obviously.

Future Islands! Won't stay in the top 10, but still a great result.
  5. They were down since Allardyce left. I wonder what he might have been able to do with them if he'd had 2-3 years in charge. Moyes wouldn't be a disaster in the Championship. I assume they'll stick with him just to ensure they don't start properly tumbling.
  6. Rumours that Mane may be out for the season. If true might that open up the top 4 race again? Otherwise I'd have said Liverpool were safe for 4th.
  7. That's not quite what happened. National polling and polling in most of the expected swing states was within the margin of error (usually above 3-4% either way), and the states which swung it for Trump in the Electoral College (Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin) weren't polled particularly well or extensively because no one was expecting them to be crucial. If the gap is 20%, then Le Pen has to try and get a far higher turnout rate from her supporters than from Macron / Fillon's, and hope that a fair chunk of the mainstream right / left don't both voting if they don't like either candidate. She'll probably do this to an extent, but not enough to swing it unless there's a major attack before polling day.

Maybe the SNP can get on with passing some actual legislation now.
  9. Great draw.
  10. Yeah, at least this time it wasn't entirely to nationalists.
  11. Poor. Monaco are a good side though. Expecting Guardiola to go all in on the FA Cup now as he won't want to go without a trophy in his first season. If they win that and finish second in the league it's probably a par season.
  12. Surely that's the only option that would be acceptable for all sides. The fact that you're saying it's 'not inconceivable' is hardly optimistic when it's that or bust.
  13. Even if it was held and won next year, would Scotland really be able to secede from the UK and join the EU in six months? Catalonia also relevant for that, of course.
  14. 2005 I can understand - that an average Liverpool side could come back from three goals down against Milan in their pomp was nothing short of miraculous. But 1999? Really? I get that it must have been wonderful for United fans, but they can hardly pull the same excuse given they were evidently one of the best teams in Europe already. When it's two top teams against each other, coming from 4-0 down in 90 minutes surely beats coming from 1-0 down in the last five.
  15. I'd be surprised if United finished the season ahead of Arsenal tbh.
  16. Disappointing result for West Ham tonight but acquitted ourselves far better than most will against Chelsea. They look a class above.
  17. Fair to say that the decisions evened out? Was certainly an entertaining one.
  18. House of Ords?

  20. Virtually nothing changed in Stoke, which probably spells doom for Paul Nuttall. UKIP collapsing is good news for the Tories in the short to medium term as it gives them more of an avenue in some Labour seats in the North (by no means all, it's not every day that you have to defend a seat where your leader has 30 years of vocal opposition to its only industry). In the long term, UKIP eating itself makes it more likely that we can retain our status as the undisputed second party in the country until the time comes that we can actually win an election. As you might be able to tell, I'm trying really hard to be positive.
  21. Are postals that solid when we're fighting the Tories rather than UKIP? And I just have a nagging feeling that the constant Tory reminders about Corbyn's anti-nuclear stance will hit home.
  22. You reckon? I think they'll take it by about 500. Sellafield is more salient than the hospital.
  23. The Tories might have had a good shot at it had Copeland not been on the same day. I suppose we'll see what the Labour turnout is like on Thursday, but if we only win narrowly and lose by 1,000 or more in Copeland then the Tories might regret putting all their resources on the easier one and not gambling.
  24. Can't call it, but disappointed that 'Drive It Like You Stole It' or maybe 'Up' from Sing Street weren't nominated.
  25. Was in Stoke today but it was hard to tell how it was going. I'm inclined to agree on Copeland.
