So in effect you are dismissing the forum as having gone to the dogs. I suppose you think that's all down to your absence! It's true, your departure was felt like no other since Geri left the Spice Girls. We've been cruising downhill ever since. We haven't even had a Goodbye moment! Not even a Holler!!!
Only on Buzzjack would we see this analogy!
Matt., (hell hath no fury if I get your name slightly wrong) why are you still here?

I didnt get it at first, but We Are Young i'm really liking right now. I'm not liking Call Me Maybe but I understand why its doing so well because its so unbelievably catchy, but i'd never download it or have it on my iPod :heehee:
I'm routing for Olly to make top 10, how close is he?
Probably there combined.
-
Well, that's confusing - Manic's new release schedule lists Tulisa's single as 'We Are Young', and I've never even heard of this other one you refer to?
OK, I just youtubed it, and it seems utterly bland - I can't see how it could be a threat to the higher regions of the chart?
Have you seriously been living in a hole since the start of the year?

Yes, but the late start would waste her first week sales in a futile pursuit of Carly, ending any chance she might have had of #1 overall.
She?
And I think we're all assuming that they'll get to no.1 at some point anyway. This week would have most likely been the most difficult looking at how Carly is streaking away, and if she holds up well then next week won't be much easier. "We Are Young" will still be gathering momentum by Sunday if it were released midweek so the time it would take to get into the top 10 on Sunday could lose it the top spot. Release midweek and your momentum is already there, it'll be top 10 or even no.1 on iTunes by the time the next chart week starts.

If You Wanna
#23 :o
Seems assured to beat the peak of "Post Break-Up Sex" at last. They supposedly recorded their second album last month, what a great way to lead into another campaign. Third on the bill at Reading & Leeds as well so it could be a rather successful year for them.
"The Swarm" is holding strong at #30 so a third week in the top 40 looks assured - that's more than any of their albums have done!
Alex Day's top version is now at #27. Not heard it but wasn't fond of "Forever Yours" and it seems clear it was a pretty fanbase-motivated release so I'm not shedding any tears.

No matter how well the fakes are doing, there's no point in rush-releasing before next Sunday...
Why not? Sales won't take a hit, in fact they could be marginally strengthened. Plus they'll be already ahead of "Call Me Maybe" by the time the next chart week starts so they'll have the top 10 effect for as long as is possible.

I think I've been telling everyone this for the past two years almost.... Once you've lived through a Tory Government, you kind of see the CON-servatives for what they are (the clue is in the name..)... Now maybe you young uns will listen to us oldies who had to suffer these tossers back in the 1980s.... Leopards dont change their spots.... ;)
Not all of us fell for it so easily :P

When will the world realise that austerity is never the way forward. Hollande in France BETTER win the election, then you will see big growth there.
Typical tories. You just don't cut during economic crisis- cut steadily along with progressive taxation when the economy is 'booming'. And in the end it's the chancellor at fault- so a big bad no for Mr. Osbourne.
Didn't you say you were considering voting Tory?

fun. will almost certainly be #1 whenever it's released assuming it's in the next six or so weeks. Hopefully it be the same week as "Call Me Maybe" as I reckon it's the only thing around that could beat her - although I'd like to see Usher make #1 as well. Given Chris Brown already has #1 in the bag I'd actually like him to hold on next week, makes things a bit neater and I'm not a massive fan of any of the other contenders either.

YES YES YES! As long as Brick is back, I will be more than happy!
I also get the feeling that this will break records for a comedy sequel when it's released. What is the record at the moment? Is it one of the 'American Pie' sequels or 'Hangover 2'?
"Hangover Part II" grossed $581 million, including $178 million in its first weekend which is the highest for any comedy film, let alone any sequel. To put that into perspective, "Anchorman" only grossed $90 million in total. The sequel will probably beat that in its opening weekend (which is an achievement in itself) but I doubt it'll touch the record.

Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention? I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. And I need all of you to stop what you're doing and listen!

My beloved Chelsea need a massive clearance in the summer
Out
Florent Malouda
Jose Boswinga (I Do Rate him, he's just doing nothing)
Paulo Ferreria (Does Nothing and gets over 75k a week)
Ross Turnbull (I would have said Hilario but he just signed a new deal)
Salomoan Kalou (Depending on if Drogba stays or goes)
We need a RB, CB (I just feel David Luiz is more of a Cm than a CB) We actually need a quality RM, Not Ramires.
Malouda just seems to have lost interest, which is a real shame. I don't think you need a right back AND a centre back if you're got Ivanovic, one or the other would do. Probably a right back.

Titianic 3D is out 6th April, so the ad has been on TV quite a bit, where is Never Let Me Go & My Heart Will Go On? Would expect both in top 100 at least soon..
Has "Never Let Me Go" even been confirmed to be the official single for the film yet?
Go on Vaccines, would be lovely to hear "If You Wanna" on the chart show at last.

The Foos one changes weekly, the only way I could do it was pick my current favourite from each album. So psyched for Leeds.

The Offspring - Why Don't You Get A Job? - This was a #2 in May 1999. This song is not known. I am surprised George Osborne has not used this as an anthem:
Saying it's "not known" is a bit of a stretch, the line "my friend's got a girlfriend and he hates that bitch" did the rounds at my school as little as a couple of years ago.
