2016 US Election.
That is true, although it should bag her Nevada and possibly Florida. And it puts Texas in play for next time, which long term is great (assuming she doesn't lose the election this time).

2016 US Election.
I've gone 279-259. Think she'll edge Nevada and New Hampshire, being a pessimist on North Carolina and Florida.

Thin air is being generous. More like a reality vacuum.

2016 US Election.
Don't feed the troll, folks. As has been said, Clinton's odds on FiveThirtyEight do seem to have stabilised. Most of her "firewall" states look like they won't be a problem, and while a Trump win in New Hampshire would put him over the top she's still very much within striking distance in Florida, North Carolina and particularly Nevada. Any of those should seal it for her unless she loses Pennsylvania or Colorado. I wonder whether the polls tightening in Trump's favour over the last week might actually end up costing him. It's generally assumed that turnout is lower when the result looks like a foregone conclusion, and I wonder whether one of the things driving his comeback and Republicans coming "home" to him was them thinking that he was worth a throw of the dice just to stop the seemingly inevitable Clinton win. Him closing the gap as a result of that may in turn motivate independents and Democrats who don't like him but might not have voted to actually turn out. Hopefully. Also to anyone pointing out the comparisons to May 2015 and Brexit - in both of those, the polls had it as properly neck and neck on polling day. That probably won't be the case here, although Trump could well be within the margin of error.

England and Scotland players cannot wear poppies
Why, are you on the run? In all seriousness, this could (potentially) open the door to other teams trying to add all sorts of more outright political statements to shirts, so I can see why FIFA have banned it to stop the precedent. Ex-footballer Danny Mills pointed out that there's nothing stopping the players from donating their match fees on mass to the British Legion, or to wear a temporary poppy tattoo on their hand and cover their heart with it during the national anthem. Both would be far more practical.

If you say "momentum" one more time I'm going to warn you and start deleting your posts. You're not contributing to the discussion.

Who will win the U.S Presidential election?
Just posted this in the News & Politics forum, but this is a great article if you think that the two candidates are even comparable: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/th...s-a7384421.html

Sturgeon might have gone down well over there.

2016 US Election.
This is relevant in that regard: http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/stagg...science-fiction Also, FiveThirtyEight has it that Pennsylvania will get her across the line. That's assuming Trump wins all of North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Arizona and Nevada, which is pretty unlikely.

2016/17 FA Premier League
That's two drab 1-0 wins in a row for West Ham - exactly what we needed and quite impressive to think that we did it yesterday with all four of our full back options unavailable. 3-4-3 suits Payet and Lanzini down to the ground, Zaza is running out of chances though. He's working his arse off and the goals will probably come, but a few more games and we'll have to shell out over £20m for him. Ayew coming back soon is great news.

Mayor of Béziers
I had no idea that they had a fascist for a mayor. Went through it a few years ago and it seemed lovely, which made it all the more amusing that it's twinned with Stockport.

2016 US Election.
I don't know why but the juxtaposition of "fascist" and "inexperienced" made me laugh. The political equivalent of "arson, murder and jaywalking".

62% Mormon population ain't too enthused by Trump. They really loved Romney.

2016 US Election.
Texas has been trending Democrat in recent elections because of the increasing Latino population. It almost certainly won't go blue this time unless his campaign slumps further, but Trump being the candidate has definitely accelerated the process for obvious reasons.
