  3. Look who your game in hand is against though :D
  4. Simeone would give them a shock. I think a lot of people a year ago would have assumed it'd be Klopp, and maybe if Rodgers hadn't been so useless it might have been.
  5. Thought it was really well realised. Didn't see the twists and turns in the plot coming at all and the new characters were fantastic.

Everton were abject in the first half but should have put the game to bed long before Martial got on the end of that. Lukaku had a mare but you'd hope he'd learn from it.
  7. There's a lot of talent in that Everton squad but some gaping holes as well. I'm just confused as to how Martinez ever took them to 5th.

Bingo. Sanders could conceivably pick Warren (let's suspend our disbelief for a second and imagine he was the nominee after all) but I wouldn't be surprised if he picked a BME person to shore up one of his weakest areas.
  9. There's no way in hell that a sitting government that's been in power for nine years could be this popular (unless they'd genuinely created some social democratic utopia, which doesn't appear to have happened) unless there were significant other factors at play.
  10. If Leicester win the league by a point after that I will be fuming.
  11. The middle party's not that squeezed, it's polling at nearly 50%!
  12. City have the best chance of going through against Real and the least chance of being humiliated against Atlético. Fascinating final four, Bayern look wobbly as well.
  13. Smalling has been good this season but that's partly because he's one of the few players who Van Gaal's tactics have suited. He was excellent earlier on when United had some concept of a gameplan (albeit an exceedingly dull one) and he's clearly had a big confidence boost from being one of the first names on the teamsheet.

I'm assuming that you're including me in this description (Tirren and anyone else who knows me outside of the forum will find that amusing to say the least). You couldn't be further from the truth - far from being more scared of the left than the right, I've stated on multiple occasions that I'm actually supporting Sanders in the primaries, I hope he's the next POTUS and in many ways he embodies what I was hoping from Corbyn over here. That said, this is a forum which is supposed to foster debate. It's not somewhere to be tribal and blindly nod along with people who happen to support the same candidate as you if they're being a fucking moron.
  16. He probably wanted to finish in the top four this season as well.

    What on earth?

If he's had momentum since before the primaries started, why is he losing? Don't get me wrong, I'd love Sanders to win but I'm not deluding myself.
  19. At this point you'd have been very brave to predict that Chelsea would win it. I can't see City going all the way but they've given themselves a great chance of getting to the semis.

Not dissimilar to the commonly held belief that the SDP cost Labour the 1983 election then, when they too took votes from both their bigger rivals pretty evenly. Bloody Argentina.
  21. Matuidi will be a miss, particularly if Verratti is still out. PSG were favourites before last night but I'd say it's dead even now. City could still get City-itis but they look a completely different team with De Bruyne fit.

For the record I agree with Corbyn over this, the overseas territories need to be given an ultimatum over whether they want direct rule or full independence. Plus it'd be great to watch the Boundary Commission squirm when asked to come up with a constituency which includes the Turks and Caicos Islands.

    Verbatim.
  24. It's definitely possible, I just picked out Chelsea because they're still unbeaten in the league since Hiddink took over and might fancy a spot of revenge.

Enjoying the delicious irony of Jezza coming out and saying that the UK government should have greater control over the Falklands.
