  1. Villa have the 10th biggest wage budget in the league and would definitely pay him more than Sociedad. Can't see either him or Rodgers wanting to come in at this stage though.
  2. Mourinho won't be sacked unless they look like going out of the Champions League. What a bloody boring derby.
  3. The seat is a slightly different makeup, with a far smaller non-Labour vote to eat into. They'll be an easy second, but it should be more like Rotherham than Heywood.
  4. Thank god it's not a marginal. I don't have the energy.

I'd take him over Milne (who will not be cheap, and hasn't even left his job at the Guardian) any day of the week.
  6. In other news, Chelsea still have a decent chance of topping their group now their two hardest games are out of the way.

As someone on Twitter pointed out, OWEN JONES WAS RIGHT THERE.
  8. I too am going at 00:01 having failed to buy IMAX tickets for the Thursday evening. Will probably go at least twice though, so YAY. I do hope it doesn't try and ape some of the plot points of the original trilogy too much (Starkiller Base being nu-Death Star, I'm looking at you). JJ at least managed to mainly avoid that with Star Trek, although it was a reboot so he could get away with a lot more.

Well that was... surreal. Imagine someone on a lot of drugs trying to explain the plot of 'Never Let Me Go' and you're pretty much there.
  10. I'll give him credit for a lot but I wouldn't stretch that far. We were great last season for about three months when Carroll and Nolan were injured, then reverted back to the dogshit of 2013-14 which wasn't good enough with the money spent. Saying that, he was the perfect man to have in charge for his first two (arguably three) seasons and I'll be forever grateful that he brought us up and kept us there. Sunderland's squad has some quality in it and I reckon with a decent January window he'll keep them up.
  11. Dammit Jurgen.
  12. Big Sam would be a shoo in if he hadn't spent time on the Toon.
  13. Maybe not traditional wingers, but wide players are still important and no one in your squad seems to want to play there. 4-3-3 is about the last formation that works.
  14. The only one that springs to mind is Gervinho, but isn't that the point of a recruitment team?
  15. Did you? Where are the wingers?
  16. Will be interesting to see what Klopp can do without his own signings.
  17. I read something the other day saying they should bring in Ashley Cole on a short term deal. After today, you can see it.
  18. I'm hardly his biggest fan but calling it a "temporary" rise in living standards is selling his government very short. There were massive improvements across the board, aided by huge investment in public services. Another five years of Cameron will really start to eat into that, but that only goes to show how big a change it was.
  19. Then what was this all about? KUDjRZ30SNo He should have resigned for the good of his party long before the election.
  20. I thought only one of the three was a penalty, but it was the grappling by Ivanovic on Van Dijk. Mané went down far too easily, he had no momentum at all. Falcao got taken out by the keeper but was already stumbling and was taking the ball out of play, so neither penalty nor dive for me.
  21. We bottled the Wales game, so I never had much confidence against a far better Australia team. I'd appreciate it if France actually started turning up, otherwise I'm supporting Ireland.
  22. Clegg should have realised he'd cocked up slightly before May 2015.
  23. Hold on, where have you got the idea from that any Labour member on here "blindly follows the whip"?!

If Khan loses, Corbyn won't survive next summer. I don't think he will though.
  25. You act as if actively backing a party is something to be ashamed of.
