Albert Hammond - It never rains in Southern California was a flop but should have charted Welcome to the Money House by Animal Magnet was big in the clubs in the 80s but failed to chart. Also, Kiss Me (original version) by Tin Tin should have been a big hit.
  3. Well done Gareth for putting him right about it not being 2004
  4. Does anyone know why Nov 2004 seems to be the default date for videos from 2000-2004 on the radio 1 website ?
  5. In Birmingham around 1981/1982 Welcome To The Monkey House by Animal Magnet & Kiss Me by Tin Tin were massive in the clubs & are still requested today . I know Kiss Me was remixed in 1985 and became a hit but the original version from 81 did not go top 40. Monkey House did not chart at all.
  6. There's no one quite like Grandma should not be classed as a Christmas song. If Bionic Santa is in the list then where is Renta Santa ? What about Make a daft noise for Christmas by The Goodies ?

Another format would be 8 track Cartridges which were around in the early 70s. I remember my Dad having Bridge Over Troubled Water album in this format. Reel to reel tapes anyone ???
  8. Another gem that has come through for me is Night Rider by ELO . I'm glad Paul Nicholas has finally gone away for the time being. We're going to have weeks and weeks of Elton & Kiki though through the summer.

With the concerts coming up too & tonight's performance it could go straight into the top 3.
  10. At the age of 9-10 I used to love everything by The Sweet , Slade , Gary Glitter, The Glitter Band , Mud , T Rex , Wizzard , The Rubettes & ELO. At the school discos you were cool if you liked Gary Glitter .
