You make me feel old not knowing what a 7" single is. It only seems like yesterday when all chart singles were on 45 RPM 7" singles. It reminds me of when my Dad used to go on about 78 RPM singles.
  3. Jean Genie is my favourite . It reminds me of junior school discos I went to back in '73 . Everyone used to love this along with Blockbuster,Cum on feel the noize and (dare I say it) anything by GG.
  4. 'Eye Of The Tiger' by Survivor hitting Number 51 almost 24 years since it first topped the charts A Slight mistake here. This was number one in 1982 , so it topped the charts nearly 25 years ago.
  5. I love the swing version of Locomotion
  6. I was searching for details about the Showgirl tour on the web & saw this bad news. Its already on Australian news websites : Kylie cancels British show halfway through Sunday Jan 14 09:53 AEDT Pop star Kylie Minogue, who is on a comeback tour after receiving treatment for breast cancer, pulled out of a British concert Saturday halfway through due to ill health, her spokesman said. Minogue was performing in Manchester, north-west England, when she stopped and cancelled the rest of the show because of flu. She was diagnosed with cancer in May 2005 and had to suspend the Showgirl tour in Australia but resumed performances in her homeland in November 2006. The 38-year-old had surgery for breast cancer in Melbourne in May 2005, followed by a course of chemotherapy in France, where her boyfriend, actor Olivier Martinez, has a home. "Kylie is suffering flu, as are other members of the tour group, including her manager. It is not linked to her breast cancer," a spokesman for the star said. Minogue had launched the British leg of her tour with a New Year's Eve show in London characterised by a series of costume changes and lavish, sequinned and feathered outfits.
  7. Pop princess Kylie walked off stage tonight half-way through a live show blaming a bad bout of flu. The Aussie singer was forced to stop performing at the Manchester Evening News Arena because of the illness, a spokesman said.
  8. That sounds like a good idea as I have entered nearly every one .The results would be more interesting if we wiped the slate clean.

  12. I don't think that this lot ever came out and revealed who they really were. The popular theory at the time was that it was Ian Dury handling the vocals. It could have been Jona Lewie .

  15. They've still got a chance of beating Westlife to most number one singles if they keep churning out good new songs. The Beatles medley is on the DVD . I saw them twice live this year. Both shows were absolutely amazing.

He was a fantastic presenter. I can remember him doing Pick of The Pops on Sundays & then Tom Browne took over around 1972. His signature tune will always remind me of him .

Well I say good luck to the lads. Judging by the number of fans waiting hours in the rain on Wednesday for the signings at HMV at the Fort Retail Park in Birmingham they'll be around for a long while yet. Fans slept outside the shop overnight in order to get the wristbands which were handed out from 9am. By midday all 1200 of them were gone . They did the signings at 4pm.
