I agree but his team would be silly not to release an alternate version of WS considering it’s on the verge of breaking the top-ten in the U.K. and top-twenty in the U.S (it is at 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100 this week). This album campaign will definitely go into 2021 considering all the Grammy buzz surrounding it; Billboard ranked Fine Line as a fave to nab the Album of the Year and Adore You for Record of the Year.

Golden will 110% be released as another single from Fine Line. I reckon he might release a deluxe version of the album in the Autumn to give the era even more momentum and get the Grammys noms tucked under his belt. Also Watermelon Sugar could easily hit number one if he sticks a feature on it... I could actually see Dua Lipa’s voice fitting nicely on the track.

That’s true but streaming held The Man back. Any post-album single will need a remix to do well. The only artist breaking that rule now is Harry Styles. I’m hearing about a possible Post Malone feature on Cruel Summer?

I agree with you on YNTCD but Me! should never have been on the album- it takes away from the cohesiveness of the record. Also she removed that repugnant ‘spelling is fun’ line, clearly showing that she retrospectively realised what a silly move that whole song was. She should have led with YNTCMD in April, then Cruel Summer in June, followed by The Man in August (with the album) and then closed it with Lover in November. Me! was a terrible choice for the lead! Anyways sorry for the rant. Lets hope they release Cruel Summer as a single soon; it’s so appropriate for the world right now!

Sidenote: Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift is growing fast on American radio. Expect it be announced as the fifth single from the album soon. I reckon this good do well in the U.K. especially if she gets a feature on it. (It peaked at 27 last August after the albums release)
