This is way more country than anything on 'Up!' and 'Come on Over' (international version) to my ears. I'm not a huge fan of the song. The album and single art is absolutely FLAWLESS. I'm SHOOK at her posing in a bra. Love the throwback to 'That Don't Impress Me Much' with that leopard print outfit.

The Rihanna single samples 'Maria Maria' by Santana. I hope the song is not too urban as I want her to do other things now.

Does 'Witness' really sound like single material to all of you? I don't hear it.

I told one of my friends about it but he listened a bit and hated it :D. Songs that I'm not really feeling: - Miss You More - Save as Draft - Pendulum - Into Me You See and I'm still on the fence about 'Tsunami'. The ballads were to be expected. I'm not a ballad kind of person and especially Katy's ballads in general are not my thing.

I agree, although I don't even agree that these songs don't have big choruses. Most of the songs are super addictive. 'Bigger Than Me' is LUSH :wub:.

I haven't listened to the whole album yet but I kind of liked what I heard so far (track 1-6, 8, 9, 11, 14 and 15). I think it's a little too samey for now but that's probably 'cause it needs room to grow. It's s a bold risk that, by the public response, is not paying off but for me personally it's definitely more interesting than her other albums.

Wow I love this video so much! And the song is amazing, although I must admit that's mostly 'cause of Abel's heavenly vocals. Their best collab for sure.

Actually 'Unapologetic' was her first number one US album, but it still took ha 7 albums to get there.

omg I agree. 'Swish Swish' is a tune. The video has also enhanced 'Bon Appétit' for me and 'Chained for the Rhythm' is really good if I ignore the lyrics. Katy has never been more interesting. This era reminds me of the 'Dangerous Woman' era and that was one of my favorite albums last year :wub: .

I stayed away from this thread but I can imagine Buzzjack is not a fan of the current winner. Personally, I think we have had 2 amazing winners in a row now. Very happy that Jamala and Salvador showed that you don't have to send something like those cheap-ish songs that Sweden sends every year (don't get me wrong I kind of liked the song last night but Sweden sis...), or novelty acts like Romania and Moldova, to win. I'm extra happy that Portugal won in their own language, showing that you don't have to sing in English to touch people. My personal top 3 last night: 1. Hungary 2. Portugal 3. Armenia
