    This was apparently in 2011!

What she basically says after 2:10 is :

[Radio presenter compares it to Billie Holiday]

''Well that's a big compliment. The melody is kind of '50s but the production will be big, there will be a choir. It will be bombastic, fantastic and it will be kind of soundtrack-y. I don't want to use any drums [on the whole album]''.

  2. If I'd have to rank them :

    01. Mutya

    02. Siobhán

    03. Heidi

    04. Amelle

    05. Keisha

    06. Jade

Mutya has the best voice for some weird reason, there's just something about it. Siobhán has a great voice and some amazing solo stuff. Heidi is just the beautiful girl next door and she had the best parts in most of the songs.

Amelle has a fantastic voice but as a person she's very bland and if she'd have her way they'd be releasing shitty dance music inspired by Afrojack and will.i.am., I'm sure of it.

Keisha's voice is OK but live very shakey. I really dislike her personality too (from what we get to see).

Jade, well, Jade is Jade. I don't like her belting but I'm sure she's the sweetest and most loving person of them all. She just didn't contribute much to the Sugababes, hence the low place.

  3. 'Follow Me Home' is much better with Amelle imo, her voice is less shakey than Mutya and on FMH that really fits.

They should've released 'Gotta Be You'! Absolutely love that one and I have no idea how it would have done. It could have been a hit but it could have flopped massively (not worse than FMH though).

The song will be called 'Birds Falling Down'. According to the producer, Tore Johansson (Suede, Franz Ferdinand, Saint Etienne), it's something that doesn't stand a chance at winning :nocheer:

Been toying with this idea for a while now so I thought I'd better just throw it out. I doubt she has a massive following here but I hope we can get a fair share of rates to even get to results.

    Get to voting!!

  7. I listened to 'Safe Trip Home' about a week ago (I never bothered 'cause I thought her first two albums were just mediocre) and damn, it's so good! Fantastic album, would rate it 4.5/5. From what we've heard so far from the new album it's definitely gonna be a departure from 'Safe Trip Home' wish is a shame but understandable, since the last one pretty much bombed.
  8. Some outros are good. Róisín Murphy's 'Overpowered' should've been 2 or 3 minutes longer with just those lush synths at the end.

I don't like most of Justin's outros though. They kind of annoyed me on FS/LS too. The 'My Love' and 'Set the Mood' preludes were very annoying.

I don't really understand someone who doesn't have the good grace to accept that the terrible music they enjoy is still terrible. I enjoy some absolute shit - I listen to Limp Bizkit out of choice and love the first Transformers film - but I realise that it's just because there's a part of my brain that doesn't tolerate anything with any intelligence.

I understand your point, and I feel the same way about my guilty pleasure or some of the artists I enjoy (Shania Twain, early Kate Ryan, etc.) but barely anyone feels that way about his or her own music taste.

  10. Oh relax, Alex just enjoys pure pop music which is just fine. We all have different taste and it's actually quite refreshing to see since his taste, it's unusual and covers a wide range in time.

PLEASED that the Queen B makes an appearance in this chart too even though it's just a small part. (and let me guess, Kim's part in Lady Marmelade is your [AlexRange] least favorite?)

  11. I don't find anything wrong with covers, it happens all the time in roots and country music (in fact, my all-time favorite album is 8/12 cover) and Linda Ronstadt built her entire career on singing other people's songs.

I don't like any of GA's covers (far inferior to their normal material) and 'Walk This Way' is truly the worst thing both the Sugababes and Girls Aloud have ever released.

Sugababes in the list again :cheer: Hopefully 'Hole in the Head', 'Round Round' and 'Freak Like Me' are still to come. Good variety in year of release in this chart.
