I love me some Inna. One of the few modern dance acts I can take. I much prefer her earlier stuff though. I think this is my least favorite single so far from the new album. But the accordeon is a bit catchy so hopefully this will bring her back to the public eye.
If she's really worked with Afrojack & it ends up on the album I'm gonna cry, really don't like his style at all.

A couple of listens in and I'm unexpectedly liking this, got a real Marvin/Off The Wall MJ vibe about it.
Yeah I get the Marvin vibe. I'm liking this too after a couple of spins. Fresh breath of air through the charts at least, let's hope radio picks it up.
It's crazy how much his voice sounds like Robin Thicke by the way (or the other way around)

It came across as if i'm a Timbaland hater, but i'm a massive fan of what he's done in the past, and there is no denying his influence and span of hits etc. BUT 90% of the things he has produced post 2008 have come across as being stuck in the past to me.
I might also be blinded because Shock Value is one of my all-time favourite albums, and he has never matched anything on that since :P
I actually never bothered to listen to Shock Value ('cause I always think of him as just a producer) but I think I should now.
Maybe I just like his ''stuck in the past sound'' 'cause anything is better than him going along with the current music scene. Although some of his productions still manage to sound futuristic (even now Missy Elliott's 'Da Real World' album sounds like R&B on steroids) and his newer stuff doesn't really have that. I'll give you that indeed.

I agree that Timbaland's production sounds SO dated. He had one perfect album, and has just tried to recreate that sound ad infinitum ever since :drama:One perfect album?
If there was any ever a producer that renewed the game it was Timbaland. You need to hear his stuff from the 90s right into the 00s.
I agree this isn't as good as his best work ('Oops (Oh My)', 'Pony' or 'Are You That Somebody?' among others) but this man is a legend.
Succes in the 90s and BOOM brings back Timberlake and Nelly F. in o six and on top of their game.
There's only so many times you can change the game, but I have faith that he can do it again.
I actually thought the Missy Elliott tracks from 2012 had great production. Renewing? No, but that's not really necessary.

I've not heard New York yet, congrats nonetheless Bre :P Most of my votes did well I think so that's good. DIRE for Parachute Youth, its either DNQs or a terrible position in the final for Terra Avium :snif: Suppose I'm glad it got attention from some though!
My favorite single of 2012 (along with 'Disparate Youth' by Santigold). So thank you for this discovery! Was a major hit in Belgium too apparently, #2 and 30 weeks in the top50.
It did not deserve this dire performance, that's for sure!
And oh, dire winner too!! (I finally get to throw shade at Bré!)

I'm not BIG on here beyond L'autre, Bleu Noir, this and the first GH - the singles from the other albums are a bit too patchy to make me want to investigate much further.'L'Âme-stam-gram' doesn't make you want to listen to the album :o? And like Tom said 'Souviens-toi du jour' is also great.

Mis-Teeq reunion?
