  1. That did occur to me aswell as I read on the front page of the Daily Star that this guy they're questioning claims her parents knew where she was the whole time. But I'm keeping an open mind, a] because it's the daily star running the story and b] because surely they can't be THAT stupid as to believe they'd get away with such a stunt? I'm sure all will be revealed. Something obviously isn't quite right though since she hasn't been allowed home. Although it could be just because this guy is a member of her family. The police possibly just want to cover all possibilities. We'll see.

:cheer: I LOVED them....for a few months. I have always thought All or Nothing is one of the best songs of recent years. Amazing. Damn I have a real hankering to listen to that song now.

WELL Susan has just found out she's got MS. She's blind and her hands are burnt. Libby has come back, she's been very secretive about Darren but last night it came clear when we found out he'd cheated on her. He came back with flowers and tried to say sorry but it ended with Darren & Karl fighting in the street! And some $h!t about the kid with the walking stick she's mad at that guy she kissed and he keeps putting cds in her locker. Boring, that bit. Oooh, and janae made a volcano with Mickey. Gripping, no?

I get jealous when mcfly leave the country. lolz nah. You should go and show them some support, I'm not sure how many fans they have there. Have they been successful in Australia? I wonder if those shows will sell.

Hey rob. I'd say it's possible. It's possible the media is actually doing more harm than good by jumping on stories of abductions. Or maybe there haven't been more attempted abductions than before, but we're hearing more about it now because of the maddie thing. I'm sure there are people who look at that case and think 'hey maybe I can get away with it too'. But of course, not all WILL get away with it. But yeah, maybe more people are getting ideas from all this publicity. But the same oculd be said for anything - would there be so many kids going into schools in america and shooting their classmates if there wasn't so much coverage each time it happens etc. Sometimes I think the media is to blame for all the world's problems! -_- But if Shannon isn't found, that's going to add to this idea that these type of criminals can go undetected. Pretty scary!
  6. Couldn't agree more with this one. And now we have all these f***in' kids who wear hoodies and skinny jeans saying 'oh i'm really into indie'. WTF? Do they even know what indie means? It's bands like those you mention that cause this kind of thing. Very sad.
  7. Uh the only ones I have are Bright Eyes & Kate Nash. I have obviously been missing out on an awful lot.
  8. This makes me very sad. As people have said, and as with most words, its the context in which they are used which is offensive not the words themselves. Just because the word 'f*****' is used as a derogatory term for gay people these days does not mean gay people are going to find it offensive in this sense. I really think this sort of correctness so as not to offend minorities will only do more harm in the long run. True equality would be to realise that we don't have to pander to minority groups just because they are different.
  9. It's definitely a fact that their songwriting talents are overlooked by many simply because of the type of music they make. But Tom Fletcher's no Lennon. He's written some amazing songs, he's also written some really bad songs. But weren't Gary Barlow's talents overlooked when he was in Take That? The credibility didnt come till later.

I really hate that people assume all of scotland is behind leon and all of scotland voted for him. f*** that. I'm scottish and I am embarrassed at the hype the media here has caused over this. And I am embarrassed that politicians are treating it as a victory. The boy can't hold a note. However, having heard this song they've made him churn out, I am glad Rhydian did not win because his talents really would have been wasted on that drivel. I hope he goes and gets himself a respectable job in music somehow and I hope leon goes back to carphone warehouse or wherever it was he worked before. Oh, and as for the idea that girls voted for him because he was cute -he is as good looking as a scottish person can be, which is rough around the edges to say the least with their wonky teeth and harsh features. In other words, not particularly good looking at all. So the only conclusion i can draw is that people fell for his sob story.
  11. I plan to buy Leona & Mcfly. No albums though.
  12. I actually really love this song and it probably deserves to do better than any previous singles. That said, I'll settle for top 5 after looking at the chart predicitions thread. It's a shame though that the first decent song they release in a while isn't going to get to number 1 whereas those others did.
  13. I think Jeremey Kyle talks sense sometimes and does genuinely want to help people. But I saw a bit of an episode last week where some woman was saying her boyfriend won’t let her sleep with her hands under the covers because he’s so paranoid and thinks she’s playing with herself! THIS is the kind of thing they show at breakfast time? ITV should be blamed.

My dad is a postman and people really beed to take time to understand the reason for the strike instead of just shooting their mouths off. The changes that this Crozier guy (somebody who knows f**k all about royal mail) wants to bring in are ridiculous. My dad has been paying into his pension for 30 years & if they accept these changes, he'll get far less than he's put in. They also want workers to cover people's holiday leave unpaid. Thats two of a large number of ludicrous changes they want to enforce. I'm totally in favour.
  15. He's trying to sound like Prince or something. This wasn't an instant favourite off the album but it is a good song. I don't think there'll be enough airplay for it to be huge though. Another waste of a good song.
  16. LMAO! How does that say it all? It says nothing, other than that too many people believe what they read in the tabloids. I don't believe for one second that the parents killed her. You only need to look at their faces to see they are tortured and want their little girl back. And it doesn't matter whether lie detectors are accurate or not, the fact that they are willing to do one surely says something. Of course they were stupid for leaving their children alone but that negligence is a different crime entirely from murder.
  17. I'd prefer to see him release a new album rather than a greatest hits. :( Is he retiring or something? I'd still buy it though. :D
  18. Shame it fell to 14 by Sunday. I hope it lingers though, it's be c**p to see it drop as much as the single did.

To be fair to Louis Walsh i think the comments about the drugs were taken out of context. He was talking about boybands in general. However I think everyone's past the stage of thinking Mcfly are pretending to play their instruments. We all know they're playing those guitars by now so Louis sounds foolish, yet again. Whether Mcfly are making music that people likes is irrelevent to the whole boyband discussion. At least they are making an effort to write their own material etc. As the man responsible for Westlife who are basically a covers band these days, he's not qualified to criticise a band like Mcfly.
  20. And what has THAT got to do with anything? You're just making a fool of yourself. Are you even thinking about what you're saying? He is innocent until proven guilty in my book. If you don't like his music, fine. There's no need to start slandering people.
  21. You're the fool here buddy. What a f***ing ridiculous statement to make. Just because somebody is married to a black person does not automatically mean they are not racist. There's alot more to racism than black & white. (And I am NOT saying cheryl is a racist, I'm just using the example you gave). Nothing has been proven yet about Darren. Nobody knows what went on apart from those who were there. You can't just assume he is racist and therefore has f***ed up his career. It could have been a misunderstanding. Go have a look on his website anyway, there are almost 30 pages of messages of support from his fans. Those are the same people who buy his albums. :)

I'm not surprised she wanted her account deleted, with the amount of people who have harangued her on here for liking a harmless pop band.

The success went to his head then...?

Well to be honest i don't think they are marketing themselves at all. They've got a group of men in suits telling them what to do and how to act. So in thay sense, they're not different from any other boyband. I still maintain that if mcfly weren't signed to a major label and had just formed at school or something they'd be making the music they want to make and would be considered credible.
  25. Yes, that's another one that's lost favour with me. And $h!t Song, while being quite $h!t in the first place (in a brilliant way) is actually now just plain $h!t. Alot of those songs seem to have lost their ability to stand out. I was wondering why alot of reviews hadn't been that great, but i think had the album included those original demos reviewers wouldn't have been so negative.
