    errr ... it was a joke ...
  2. A bang on suggestion. But if we were listing all the shocking decisions made by record companies we'd be here for eternity wouldn't we? That's what they've always done and what they'll continue to do. Putting out records is a secondary concern.
  3. Any examples of shocking decisions for us?
  4. Lengthy but lovely interview with Tinchy, Taio Cruz and Cheryl Cole producer/songwriter Fraser T Smith: Fraser T Smith interview I like the bit about Tinchy paying for his services with money made from selling t-shirts from the boot of his car.

I think they should make sure there is a gap of at least 50 years between the release of songs with similar titles. It's very confusing.
  6. I'm sure some artists that do remixes are effectively hawking their talents in hope of getting snapped up for the next record, while at the same time saying, "nice track but I would have done this, this, this ..." The SOAs version is ten-times more exciting and innovative, without compromising the song's chart potential. I'd like to think Alphabeat recognise this and step up their game next time around.
  7. They should invest more in their videos. They're in that bloody room again where they did 'Beat Again'. It doesn't really present them as normal functioning human beings not least because they also do that thing again where they're immobile until a child puts a 50p in the slot and then they leap into action. The song's not as good as 'Beat Again' - the dinky pseudo-rave production is annoying - although I love the opening line: "She's the kinda girl boys read about in magazines, glossy magazines ..."
  8. A very meh song - not as good as the film. I've lost interest in this band - such a waste of a great name. Nevertheless, as someone mentioned earlier, they have at least opened my eyes to Sound of Arrows (their remix transforms it), who I'm very excited about. Not least because Rich X has been fraternising with them.
  9. She's about to blow up?! I wouldn't have thought that'd be the wisest career move.
