Artist bashing thread
Ke$ha. Ugh what's right with this pop whore. Seriously.... she just paved the path for the destruction for any real talent ever getting a record deal again. Ellie Goulding right now is saving music industry. I hope she does well. It will encourage labels to sign more song-writers who can sing and market them as artists. Diana Vickers also would have been a nice success story.... but her sound is just so.... :/ I have faith in her though! Jumping Into Rivers and Once are good proper tunes. Not liked the sampler that much though. All this Taoi Cruz $h!t, Justin Bieber is just a huge fail on the industry and even Cheryl Cole is included in that. I do like Cheryl though. I believe she keeps it real as possible for a pop artist. Her lip syncing at the Brits was expected. Her personal life isn't exactly a fairytale at the moment. Having said that...... watch this and say that Cheryl couldn't of sang live that night. ht5KNY0g78A

Kimberly Wyatt - Not Just A Doll
I like that she didnt go down the electro route, for a pussycat Doll she made a good decision with her direction in music. Like that she's using an electric guitar.

Some people call that singing. But I dont blame people not being able to tell the difference with all the Ke$ha's and electro pop over-autotuned music of today.

Diana Vickers - Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree
Diana is kind of turning into a dissapointment! :( I was following her for the last year and a half. Jumping Into Rivers is by far her best track off the album yet.

OMG Avril down to #66 :( She's #18 in U.S. Itunes, darn! Avril needs to do some promo in UK for this single! :/ I dont think her management want Alice to be a hit though because it's represented by Disney, and Sony are planning to release Avril's 1st single in like 6 weeks off the new record, so they won't want Alice over-shadowing it. Pity though.

Amy McDonald 'A Curious Thing'
I'm actually starting to like her. She's one of the only female artists who isn't just meshing in with the pop industry.

Diana Vickers - Once
Wow...... awful awful awful video. Damn Diana. I thought she was going for a total different image to stand out :( Why are all artists doing the f***ing same thing these days.... so much disappointment with everyone :( Oh well.... at least I still have Avril :(

Avril Lavigne - "Alice"
Thank GOD she doesn't. The artists named, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Beyonce are all completely talentless. Sorry Lady Gaga is actually a great talent, the other two are complete wasters. 'Alice' is a self-written song by Avril. Her first attempt at writing with no song-writers. I think she's evolved in the right direction unlike the current music industry which is sadly dominated by the likes of Max Martin, Dr. Luke being ghost writers for artists who claim to have talent but are just faces of actual talented song-writers such as Luke, and Max. Avril is definitly going against the grain, and showing that it's cool to be talented. 'Alice' won't make much impact on the industry or the pop scene, her new album though, due to be released in June is getting great reviews and has some of her "best songs" as said by the likes of Rolling Stone and other key reviewers. 6 of the songs are written by her only, and 3 of them produced by her. She's such a talented young lady, and she's a brave and risky artist for taking a stance against these mega pop names that actually have very little talent when it comes to music in general. Here's a live version of 'Alice' on Jay Leno. It's actually better than the studio version. Avril is such a raw talent now, and Im glad that she has moved away from her TBDT image which really was an attempt to fit into today's industry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbtykrNjWao She's now fighting a hard battle against these pop names, but she's Avril Lavigne and UMS was not a pop record and she got two big singles, "Don't Tell Me" and "My Happy Ending" from it, while selling 10 million copies of the CD. Don't underestimate Avril Lavigne lol! It's a big mistake. She'll defo be back in the charts and while she won't sell #1 singles, her album will probably sell twice as much as any of these pop names.

Avril does have a physical release for the 'Alice' song. Think it's coming out Monday or the week after that.
