No.12 Total Points : 25 Amy Adams http://cdn.vogue.es/uploads/images/thumbs/201317/las_mil_caras_de_amy_adams_2143_620x.jpg Amy Adams is a very attractive woman. She is also a very talented actress and many people believe that she is the female version of Leornado DiCaprio based one her bad Oscar luck. I hope she will win an Academy Award in the future because she totally deserves it. She has a wide variety of roles and her movies are usually great/decent. She is an American actress and singer. She began her career on stage performing in dinner theatre and later made her feature film debut in "Drop Dead Gorgeous". After moving to Los Angeles and appearing in a series of television guest appearances and roles in B movies, Amy appeared in Steven Spielberg's Frank Abagnale biopic "Catch Me If You Can". Her breakthrough role came in the 2005 independent film "Junebug", for which she received critical acclaim and her first of five Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress. In 2007, Adams starred in the Disney animated classic reboot film "Enchanted", a critical and commercial success, and received a Golden Globe Award nomination for her lead performance. She received her second Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations and first BAFTA Award nomination for her supporting role in the 2008 film "Doubt". Adams received two more Golden Globe, BAFTA and Academy Award nominations for her supporting roles in the 2010 sports drama "The Fighter" and the 2012 psychological drama "The Master". She achieved further success in 2013 for portraying Lois Lane in the Superman movie "Man of Steel", a supporting role in the Spike Jonze-directed comedy-drama "Her", and a con artist in David O. Russell's crime film "American Hustle", the last of these won her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy along with a fourth BAFTA nomination, and a fifth Oscar nomination, her first in the "Best Actress" category. In 2001, Adams began dating actor and artist Darren Le Gallo, whom she met in an acting class. Adams and Le Gallo became engaged in July 2008. In May 2010, Adams gave birth to their daughter. I really didn't know that she is a mom..Fourth members voted this amazing actress. One of them gave her a 10 (Could you guess..?). I have watched some of her movies so far : Serving Sara (It was a little bit silly but I laughed so much. It had many hilarious scenes), Catch Me If You Can (Nice perfomances, intriguing story), The Wedding Date (Enjoyable movie but it's not something special), Doubt (Great performances, controversial script), Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (Entertaining movie), Julie & Julia (Nice performances but the story was not great), Leap Year (Entertaining movie), The Fighter (It's not a bad movie but it's very overrated), The Master (It's a decent movie but it's quite boring too. Amy's character was bitchy), Man of Steel (The visual and sound effects were great. I really like the fact that she took part in a superhero movie), American Hustle (I couldn't help but wonder why this movie had so much hype when it was released.. It had some funny moments but it didn't deserve to have so many nominations. It's overrated) and Her (Very good performances, unique story). I would suggest you to watch "Catch Me If You Can" because it's an exciting movie with pleasant performances, "Doubt" because it was one of the best movies that year, "Leap Year" because it's a decent romantic movie, "Man of Steel" because it's an impressive movie and "Her" because it totally deserved to win the award for "Best Original Screenplay". It's a very special movie.

No.13 Total Points : 24 Tilda Swinton http://www.hancinema.net/photos/fullsizephoto275170.jpg Tilda Swinton is a very talented actress! Ι haven't watched many of her movies yet. However, I respect this woman because she managed to be famous only with her acting! That says it all. Tilda Swinton was born in London. In 1983, she graduated from New Hall at Cambridge University with a degree in social and political sciences. She worked with the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, starring in Mann ist Mann by Manfred Karge, and the Royal Shakespeare Company, before embarking on a career in film in the mid-1980s. In 1988 she was a member of the jury at the 38th Berlin International Film Festival. Her early film work included several film roles for director Derek Jarman, notably "War Requiem" (1989). In 1991, Swinton won the Volpi Cup Best Actress award for her role in the postmodern film "Edward II". Swinton also played the title role in "Orlando", Sally Potter's film version of the novel by Virginia Woolf. The part allowed Swinton to explore matters of gender presentation onscreen which reflected her lifelong interest in androgynous style. Swinton later reflected on the role in an interview accompanied by a striking photoshoot. She said that "People talk about androgyny in all sorts of dull ways," noting that the recent rerelease of Orlando had her thinking again about its pliancy. Recent years have seen Swinton move towards more mainstream projects, including the leading role in "The Deep End" (2001). For this performance she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Swinton appeared as a supporting character in the films "The Beach" (2000), "Vanilla Sky" (2001), as the archangel Gabriel in "Constantine" (2005). She has also appeared in the British films "The Statement" (2003) and "Young Adam" (2003), and sat on the jury of the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. In 2005, Swinton performed as the White Witch Jadis, in the film version of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". In 2007, Swinton's performance in "Michael Clayton" earned her both a BAFTA award for "Best Supporting Actress" as well as the Oscar for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role" at the 2008 80th Academy Awards, the film's sole win. She starred in the film adaptation of the novel "We Need to Talk about Kevin", released in October 2011. Four members have her name on their lists. I have watched a few of her movies so far : Vanilla Sky (Intriguing script, very special movie), Adaptation (Nice performances but it was quite overrated), Constantine (Quite disappointing), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Very nice story, great visual and sound effects), Moonrise Kingdom (It has some funny scenes and the script was quite good. The directing was very unique) and The Grand Budapest Hotel (Funny performances, nice story, great cinematography, superb photography and the directing was awesome). I would suggest you to watch "Vanilla Sky" because its story is very unique and its plot is exciting, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" because it was one best fantasy adventure films in the last decade, "Moonrise Kingdom" because it's a very entertaining movie with funny characters and "The Grand Budapest Hotel" because it's one of the best movies of this year.

If you're afraid of clowns, I suggest you watch "It". Based on the homonymous novel by Stephen King! I read the book two years ago and the plot was really exciting! However, I watched the mini series when I was kid. It's quite scary. Watch the official trailer. ToGGItQjutk

Actress Rate Results!!!
No.14 Total Points : 21 Marion Cotillard http://mr.comingsoon.it/imgdb/persone/21977.jpg She is my favourite french actress ever! Marion is a very talented woman. Her performances are usually exceptional and I love many of her filmsl! She totally deserves to be in the Top 15 and I'm very glad that members voted her! She was born in Paris, and grew up around Orléans, Loire. After small appearances and performances in theater, she had occasional and minor roles in television series such as "Highlander", but her career as a film actress began in the mid-1990s with small but noticeable roles in such films as "Chloe" in 1996. In 1998, she starred in Gérard Pirès' action comedy Taxi. She reprised the role in two sequels: "Taxi 2" and "Taxi 3". In 2003, Cotillard had a notable supporting role in Tim Burton's film "Big Fish". She appeared in two critically acclaimed films, Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "A Very Long Engagement" (Un Long Dimanche de Fiançailles) as Tina Lombardi, for which she won a César Award for "Best Supporting Actress", and appeared in the mystery thriller "Innocence". However, her most recognisable role was the French singer Édith Piaf in the biopic "La Vie en Rose". Director Olivier Dahan said that he noticed a similarity between Piaf's and Cotillard's eyes. At the Berlin International Film Festival, where the film premiered, Cotillard was given a 15-minute standing ovation. On 10 February 2008, she became the first French actress to be awarded the BAFTA Award for "Best Actress in a Leading Role" since Stéphane Audran in 1973! She is the first actress to win a Golden Globe for a foreign language performance since 1972, when Liv Ullmann won for The Emigrants. She is also the first person to win a (Comedy or Musical) Golden Globe for a foreign language performance! On 22 February 2008, she was awarded the César Award for Best Actress for her role in "La Vie en Rose". Two days later, on 24 February 2008 at the Academy Awards, she won "Best Actress", becoming the first woman and second person (after Adrien Brody, The Pianist) to win both a "César" and an "Oscar" for the same performance! She is the second French cinema actress to win this award and the third overall to receive an Academy Award. She is the first Best Actress winner in a non-English language performance since Sophia Loren's win in 1961. Cotillard is also the first and so far only winner of an Academy Award for a performance in the French language! In 2011, she appeared in "Inception" and "Midnight in Paris". In 2012, Cotillard appeared in Christopher Nolan's film "The Dark Knight Rises". She next starred in "Rust and Bone" (De rouille et d'os) alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, for which she received rave reviews for her performance and won the following awards: the Globe de Cristal Award, Étoile d'Or Award, Sant Jordi Award, Irish Film & Television Award and the Hawaii International Film Festival Award for Best Actress and received a fifth César Award nomination, a fourth Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, a third Golden Globe nomination (her first nomination for Best Actress - Drama), a second Critics' Choice Award nomination and a second Lumiere Award nomination! The film premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and received a ten-minute standing ovation at the end of its screening. In 2014, she played the lead character in "Two Days, One Night". The film premiered at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival and Cotillard's performance was unanimously praised by critics, earned a 15 minute standing ovation and was named "the best performance of the festival". In 2014, Cotillard was named "The Most Bankable French Actress of the 21st Century". Her films have sold more than 37 million tickets in France from 2001 to 2014. In addition to her film work, Marion is interested in environmental activism, and has participated in campaigns for environmental protection, in particular Greenpeace, for whom she has acted as a spokesperson. Since October 2007, Cotillard is in a relationship with French actor and director Guillaume Canet. They have one child. Five members had her name on theirs lists (One of them was me). I have watched some of her movies so far : Love Me If You Dare (One of my favourite movies ever! Great performances /exciting plot/ It's one of the best stories for the fans of romantic movies), Big Fish (I enjoyed this movie, Tim Burton directed an amazing movie, the shots were incredible), A Very Long Engagement (Great movie with great performances / I totally loved this movie / It had something epic), La Vie en Rose (Great performance about a great singer), Public Enemies (I didn't like the directing. It was boring and slow. Disappointing result), Nine (It's not my favourite musical but it was quite good in some parts), Inception (Amazing visual and sound effects, the directing was awesome and the performanes were very good. I loved the soundtrack. However, it was quite tiring in some parts), Midnight in Paris (One of my favourite movies that year, nice performances / Clever scipt with funny dialogues) Contagion (Very good movie/The cast was amazing / Intriguing script), Rust and Bone (It was one of my favourite movies that year, her performance was great and the story was very sentimental), The Dark Knight Rises (One of my favourite action movies ever! The visual and sound effects were stunning. I was so impressed with the result. I loved the soundtrack too), The Immigrant (The performances were good but the film was full of cliches. I felt that Marion shouldn't choose this role) and Two Days, One Night (Intriguing story/Great performance by Marion/Full of social messages). I would suggest you to watch "Love Me If You Dare" because I'm sure that you will love it (trust me), "Big Fish" because it was one of the most enjoyable movies in the last decade, "A Very Long Engagement" because it was one of the best movies of 2004, "La Vie En Rose" because her performance was brilliant, "Inception" because it was visually stunning, "Midnight in Paris" because Woody Allen is a genius writer and director, "Contagion" because it's an interesting film about the rapid spread of a virus, "Rust and Bone" because it's one of the best European films of this decade, "The Dark Knight Rises" because it's one of the most epic films about a superhero and "Two Days, One Night" because it's one of the best films this year.

Neil's Official Airplay Chart EOY - 2014
Your feedback is great! Remember me to give you a 10 in the next Buzzrate. However, I don't want to be a part of it again.. :P No.50 I didn't like it on first listen. However, it grew on me and I regard it as one of the best dance tracks this year! No.49 I love Ella Henderson and I think that she has a great voice. She is very likeable to me. Likeability 100%. "Yours" is a decent ballad. So much emotion.. No.48 It's quite catchy. I don't know why so many members hate Jessie J in this forum. She has good voice, she writes her songs and she can dance. She is a nice artist although she screech too much. This is her only disadvantage. No.47 I really like this track. I listened to it many times at my home. However, it causes me nostalgic feelings..Kiesza is an intriguing artist to me. She is quite different than the rest. No.46 Why do you call her as The Northampton Clown? :P I wish all the clowns had this appearance.. :P "Heart Cry" is a nice song. "Can't Make This Over" is her best song to date! Nothing can beat it.. :smoke: No.45 I wouldn't say that "Wrapped Up" is one of my favourite songs by him. It sounds so Bruno Mars to me. I didn't like him when he was contestant on X-Factor but his music totally changed my opinion. He is a good singer.

The Imitation Game
"The Imitation Game" was already released in U.k. However, it will release the next week in my country. I really want to watch this movie and it seems great based on the official trailer. It has received positive reviews too. It's based on the biography "Alan Turing: The Enigma by Andrew Hodges". The film's score was composed by Desplat. Its opening box office figure is the third highest opening weekend haul for a UK film in 2014!!! j2jRs4EAvWM

Exodus: Gods and Kings
I watched the official trailer one month ago and it has already released in theaters. It seems interesting to me. Besides, Ridley Scott is an amazing director and Christian Bale is one of the greatest actors of his generation! I hope it will be something decent. mZPMU9riKl4

Neil's Official Airplay Chart EOY - 2014
Hi Neil! "Ouija" was not so bad.. :P No.59 I listened to this song one year ago. I didn't like it so much. Of course, it's not bad but it sounds like a Katy B typical song. Next No.58 I didn't know this song too. It's listenable. I guess that you have "Habit"s higher on your list.. No.57 "Spectrum" is one of her best songs. I like both versions (original and remix). No.56 I didn't know this song too. It's just a noice with Ellie's vocals. If I listened it to a club, I would have a different opinion. However, it's not something that I would listen to it at my home. No.55 It's a decent cover but she screams a lot. It could be a nice performance if she didn't oversing it. No.54 It's one my least favourite singles of "True". No.53 I hadn't heard this song. I know that it's popular in U.k based on the comments in this forum but I didn't search it on youtube. I just listened to it because you have it on your list. It reminds me of old country songs. Nice production. No.52 It's quite catchy and I really like Miley's part but I don't like her attitude. She totally changed her image and she used to be beautiful. No.51 I listened to this song when she released her album but I totally forgot it. I didn't know that Beyo released a video for this track though. It's quite good and the videoclip looks artistic..I just pushed the like button under her video. :) . Thanks for this.

Ouija
"Ouija" is a supernatural thriller which was released in my country three weeks ago. The producers cared to officially release it in U.S during Halloween so they could guarantee the success in the Box Office, which happened. It hit the first place and it had satisfactory earnings despite its very low budget. In recent years, it seems that audience loves to watch films about possessed people, demons and evil spirits. The big studios have released numerous films with this content and I imagine that at some point audiences will get bored seeing the same scenarios each time. It's a matter of time. I'm a big fan of horror movies and I usually want to watch them in the cinema because the big screen and the digital sound which they have, create a greater feeling than to watch them at home. However, what turns me off is always the people who go to see these movies because they always want to make a fuss about things. It always happens in large multiplex, so we chosed this time to see it in a smaller multiplex cinema with the hopes that there won't have been a doom in the room. Of course, our selection was correct. There might have been mainly young ages in large groups, but at least they were quiet during the film with some "concerns/worries" occasionally. Just maybe, it was perhaps that "Ouija" was not so bad for the standards of these films. The Ouija board was intriguing as a script idea, but some elements of the story were tragic. For example, the company wanted to communicate with their dead girlfriend and they looked so serious. However, the leading actress Olivia Cooke was quite nice concerning her presentation and interpretation. Although other perfromances were all moderate, except for Shelley Hennig, who was the first victim, and the characters were not developed. It has some scary moments but generally though it's not one of the movies that create terror as it happened in "The Conjuring" and "Annabelle". You know what will happen in the end and it's predictable as hell. However, I can say that we were not getting bored during the plot and we would see it even better if we lived in a provincial town in the U.S.A. I imagine that Americans always make atmosphere before they see these movies because there are many who believe in supernatural phenomena. In contrast to them, my country's people regard Americans as ghost and spirit believing people therefore these movies do not always have the expected success in Greece. Of course, there are some exceptions. Nevertheless, they are very popular to young ages. "Ouija" was not so bad for the standards of a supernatural thriller. It certainly was not the "epitome of cinema", but it was not so bad as "Paranormal Activity" and "One Missed Call". However, it received negative reviews worldwide and its score is low from IMDb's members too. Personally, I will not even have it in the top ten of the worst movies I saw this year in contrast with some art films which were boring to death. I would recommend it only to the hardcore fans of this genre because I believe that most of them will not be disappointed about the result.

I haven't listened to her latest album yet. However, I liked all her singles. I believe that "XO" should be a smash hit in U.k..One of her best songs... Miami is nothing in comparison with Greek islands..Just a cosmopolitan place with cocaine dealers and crocodiles..However, Mykonos is like a small Miami without crocodiles..:P Foxes visited Santorini last summer. This is very important. I felt that Pussycatt Dolls were Nicole Scherzinger with five flower pots. I couldn't help but wonder if they could talk..I knew it when they released their solo singles.. :D

Fury
"Fury" is a war movie that was released four weeks ago in my country. It was discussed by the media because of its difficult content and the involvement of Brad Pitt who is one of the most favourite people in showbiz. Do not forget that for a very long time, he occupied the media about his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, later about his separation with her and after his relationship with Angelina Jolie. He belongs definitely in the Top 10 Actors list, where their names are mentioned more in the media than in film circles. However, he is a good actor and I've noticed that he has participated in very remarkable productions in recent years. Although I hate wars, the warmongers and the army lovers (not the group), I can not say the same about war films. I find them quite interesting and quite distinguished from other movie categories. Especially, when it is purely martial, without sentimentality and too many dramas. That's how it was in "Fury". After seeing all the harsh images, full of tension, and the very convincing war background, full of corpses and mud, it is a film to watch. The story takes place during the World War II, where the allies have arrived in German territories and the SS resist. There, a young typist serviceman, who didn't train for the difficult conditions of war, is forced to replace a dead soldier who was the assistant driver/gunner armor of "Fury". Despite his lack of training and experience, he constantly has objections in the beginning, he is forced to become a part of the war in the end. He comes up against his beliefs and his thoughts about the importance of life. The story is quite good and actually experiencing the horrors of war through the innocent and frightened eyes of the young soldier. The performances were good enough and I could not imagine this movie without Brad Pitt. It's definitely one of the best roles of his career. Logan Lerman was also very good and "Fury" is definitely the second best film of his career, after "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". The director / screenwriter David Ayer made a very structured work, carrying the story on the big screen which had something important to tell us. The freaky face of war because some crazy people want to destroy countries and people. It had good photo, elaborate montage, atmospheric scenery and impressive music. It lasts 134 minutes but the time passes without realizing it. The only negative point I found was the neatly cut hair of Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeuf's white teeth and Colgate smile. I can not believe that in this tragic period, people had first priority cleaning their teeth. We all know that they ate whatever they found, which was the worst thing for their oral health. The film production needed a bit more detail on this part. "Fury" hit the lead in the Box Office when it premiered in mid-October in America. It has decent earnings to date and it is the most commercial film of its kind this year. Also, the competition was not very strong. It has been getting positive reviews worldwide, and many believe it will be one of the nominated films in the upcoming Oscars. I'm sure that it will be chosen in some technical categories and the category "Best Original Score" since Steven Price did an amazing job! However, I would not be surprised if the Academy proposed Brad Pitt for "Best Actor" since I did not see many shocking male performances this year.

Angelina Jolie has a large fanbase worldwide. She is one of the most popular actresses in my country too. I Maybe, new generations don't know that she is an Oscar winner. I feel that her filmography hasn't many good films in comparison with other actresses. However, her biography is one of the best and her humanitarian work is notable! This world needs personalities/characters like Angelina. "Changeling" is her best movie so far. Clint Eastwood knows how to make amazing movies. *1 I laughed so much with Scary Movie 4. It has many funny scenes.. *2 I always wanted to watch this movie but it never happened. I have heard positive comments about it.

Neil's Official Airplay Chart EOY - 2014
No.70 This is one of my favourite R'n'B songs ever!!! It has great production and Beyonce's rap is totally awesome. Especially this part "get my brain right Armand de brignac, gangster wife Louie sheets, he sweat it out like wash rags he wear it out". If I made a list like yours, I would have it in my Top 15! No.69 I really like "Birthday" and the videoclip is so funny. It always makes my day. If Katy had a great - live - voice, she would have the whole package for me. No.68 I wouldn't say that I like this song but it's not bad though. I believe that they should sing a better song than it. No.67 Foxes is one of the most interesting artists in U.k! This song is a decent album filler. No.66 I like "Waves" but I don't think that it sounds great in a city. I guess that it would sound perfect if I listened to it in a Greek island.. -_- No.65 Hilary Duff is a likeable artist but this song sound so bland. It's quite weak as first single. No.64 Nice collaboration but the girls remind me of "Pussycatt Dolls". They sound exactly the same. No.63 I think that Calvin Harris is so overrated in U.k. Of course, he has talent but the majority of his songs sound the same. Only a few of them deserved to be successful like "We Found Love". No.62 One of her best songs. Sentimental performance. No.61 I didn't know this song. I think that she is a talented singer but I don't like her when she tries to be so provocative. She needn't act like this when she has a great voice. "Jealous" is not something special. I hope you will have "XO" in your Top 10.. ^_^ No.60 This is a powerful song. I love its music before the first verse begins.

A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence
"A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence" is a Swedish production which was released in my country one month ago. It was shown at the last Venice Film Festival and it won the biggest prize of the tournament which is "Gold Lion". I knew about this film was the award it has gotten in this festival and it certainly was the main reason we went to see. Usually the films which are distinguished in major film festivals worldwide, like Cannes, Venice or Berlin, are quite good and some of them end up to the Oscar's "Best Foreign Film" category. However, this does not mean that they are always great. There are a few films which are unacceptable and the most resounding case is "A Pigeon ...." Honestly, I have never seen such a boring film in my life. The rhythms flowed so slowly that I thought time would freeze sometimes. The pale / elderly actors, the simple shots and the repetitive dialogues were elements only suitable for a particular audience. It has insipid script, boring interpretations and a sleepy, tired and slow progression. The only positive was the special direction of what makes it stands out from all the other movies I saw this year. However, the content seemed quite silly. Of course, there will be some who will praise it and some others that will overestimate it. However, this does not mean it is good. It is just that everyone feels things differently. The point is, do not pretend that you understand this film. I am pretty sure most viewers did not understand the essence of the film. Incidentally, in several places before you enter the movie theater, there were several articles, which were full of proposals which explain the meaning of the film. It was unbelievable the fact that we have to read a booklet to understand what the film trying to tell us by the screenwriter/director. Especially when the movie was totally nonsense. It's like you see a bizzare drawn picture from a child and asking with a serious tone "What exactly have you painted?" while knowing that the imagination of children is limitless. It is meant that every screenwriter/director must spoon-feed viewers at the beginning of the movie so that to get ready in the deep thoughts. Otherwise, you will wonder from the beginning to the end. When the movie finished and we looked back, the viewers all had a face of "What did we just watch?". I don't excuse the award of the Venice Film Festival and I guess that better films were robbed by this monstrosity. It has received great rave reviews from the local culture lovers who judge the films and I feel that these people are cheating the world. What kind of word? All of them who were affected by the opinions of these "experts", as the room was full of people who are not much different from the temperament/style of those who read / follow these films, like hipsters. It has received a modest average score - for a film with such distinction - on IMDb and I hope the bad news to spread quickly to the potential victims, aka viewers, of this movie. It's definitely the most boring film of the year, yet the most annoying. No enemy deserves this bad film. MhpedyLXevo

No.15 Total Points : 19 Angelina Jolie http://www.blogcdn.com/www.mydaily.co.uk/media/2012/02/angelina-jolie-oscars-2012.jpg Angelna Jolie is one of the most beautiful/attractive women on this planet! She is very talented and she has a great personality too. Angelina is definitely one of the most interesting characters in showbiz. Her biography is so intriguing and I don't know what to choose about her.. :). She was born in Los Angeles. She is the daughter of married actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. Her godparents are actors Jacqueline Bisset and Maximilian Schell. When she was seven years old, Jolie had a small part in "Lookin' to Get Out" (1982) a movie co-written by and starring her father, Jon Voight . At age 14, Jolie dropped out of her acting classes. She aspired to become a funeral director. She began working as a fashion model, mainly in Los Angeles, New York, and London. She appeared in five of her brother's student films, made while he attended the USC School of Cinema-Television. She also appeared in several music videos, namely Lenny Kravitz's "Stand by My Woman" (1991), Antonello Venditti's version of Crowded House's hit "Don't Dream It's Over", "Alta Marea" (1991) The Lemonheads's "It's About Time" (1993) and Meat Loaf's "Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through" (1993). Jolie began her professional film career in 1993, when she played her first leading role in the low-budget, straight-to-video, science-fiction sequel "Cyborg 2", as Casella "Cash" Reese, a near-human robot. She was so disappointed with the film that she did not audition again for a year. Jolie's career prospects began to improve after she won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in "TNT's George Wallace" (1997). The film was very well received by critics and won, among other awards, the Golden Globe Award for "Best Miniseries or Television Film". Jolie received an Emmy Award nomination for her performance. In 1998, Jolie starred in HBO's "Gia", portraying supermodel Gia Carangi. For the second consecutive year, Jolie won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for an Emmy Award. She also won her first Screen Actors Guild Award! After "Gia" wrapped in 1997, Jolie announced that she had given up acting for good, because she felt that she had "nothing else to give. She won her third Golden Globe Award, her second Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Academy Award for "Best Supporting Actress" for her role in "Girl, Interrupted" (1999). Although highly regarded for her acting abilities, Jolie had not found films that appealed to wide audiences, but "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001) made her an international superstar. Jolie reprised her role as Lara Croft in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003). Jolie starred opposite Brad Pitt in the 2005 action-comedy "Mr. & Mrs. Smith". In 2007, Jolie made her directorial debut with the documentary "A Place in Time", which captures daily life in 27 locations around the world during a single week. Jolie took on the lead role in Clint Eastwood's drama "Changeling" in 2008. Jolie received nominations for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a BAFTA Award!!! In 2011, Jolie made her directorial feature debut with In the "Land of Blood and Honey". After a three-and-a-half-year absence from the screen, Jolie starred in the film "Maleficent" (2014). "Maleficient" went on to gross over $757 million worldwide, becoming Jolie's highest-grossing film!!! As of July 2014, Jolie has completed work on her second directorial venture, "Unbroken". Angelina is also famous for her humanitarian work. She was named a "UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador" at UNHCR headquarters in Geneva on August 27, 2001. In August 2002, she received the inaugural Humanitarian Award from the "Church World Service's" Immigration and Refugee Program, and in October 2003, she was the first recipient of the "Citizen of the World Award" by the "United Nations Correspondents Association". She was awarded the Global Humanitarian Award by the "UNA-USA" in October 2005, and she received the "Freedom Award" by the "International Rescue Committee" in November 2007. In October 2011, UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres presented Jolie with a gold pin reserved for the most long-serving staff, in recognition of her decade as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. On April 17, 2012, after more than a decade of service as a "UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador", she was promoted to the rank of "Special Envoy" to High Commissioner António Guterres, the first to take on such a position within the organization. In November 2013, Jolie received the "Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award", an honorary Academy Award, from the Board of Governors of the "Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences". Jolie is now married to actor Brad Pitt. They have six children, three of whom are adopted!! Five members voted this incredible woman! One of them gave her 10 points! I have watched many of her movies so far : Hackers (I watched this movie with my old friends but I don't remember many details about it. It wasn't bad though because the plot was interesting/I need to watch this again), The Bone Collector (I watched this movie in the cinema and I really liked it. There was tension and mystery. Movies with serial killers are always intriguing to me), Girl, Interrupted (Very good movie with nice performances), Gone in 60 Seconds (Nice action film but a little bit forgettable), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (I don't like it so much because I expected something better. It wasn't so exciting), Original Sin (Watchable but a little bit forgettable), Life or Something Like It (Good movie), Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (I think that it was much better than the first film. I really enjoyed it/ The visual effects were impressive), Beyond Borders (I liked this movie although it was full of cliches. However, it was full of social messages), Taking Lives (One of my favourite movies that year/ She had chemistry with Ethan Hawke), Shark Tale (It had fun but it was not great as animation), Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (I didn't like it because it seemed so fake), Alexander (Alexander deserved to have a better movie/ Many people criticised it in my country so I had low expectations. However, it wasn't bad), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (So Brangelina, So Hollywood), A Mightey Heart (It was a decent film), Beowulf (I really liked this version/computer-animated), Kung Fu Panda (I loved this animation, it was very funny), Wanted (The plot was intriguing but I don't remember it at all), Changeling (One of the best movies that year/Her performance was very good/Absorbing film), Salt (Disappointing film. It had a lot of silly scenes like Charlie's Angels/Waste of time), The Tourist (It wasn't one of her best films/We laughed a lot with the story, but in a bad way) and Maleficent (She was great as Maleficent and the story was quite good/The visual and the sound effects were impressive/It had also great photography and beautiful shots). I would suggest you to watch "The Bone Collector" because it's a nice thriller, "Girl, Interrupted" because Angelina gave one of her best performances, "Taking Lives" because it has tension, suspense and mystery, "Beowulf" if you like computer animated films, "Kung Fu Panda" if you like animations with funny characters, "Changeling" because it's based on a true story and it's a really good movie and "Maleficent" because it's one of the best dark fantasy films.

Lol..I need to watch some of her series. I really like comedies. I watched so many drama this year. I will be depressive if I continue to watch social movies in the cinema. I think that she is not highly underrated. She won the "Best Actress Award" at the Cannes Film Festival three years ago. I think that it's a great honour to be recognised from this festival. However, I feel that many people followed her when she played in teen movies although her latter films were good/decent.
