That's actually not the whole story.. The song was already becoming a hit (a moderate sales one anyway). Glee had covered it and it had been hovering in the US iTunes for quite some time before the Super Bowl ;-) I think it would never have been noticed as a Superbowl Ad if this didn't happen.. Hence why I thought I'd add to that.

I think the iTunes top 10 effect is so critical to a songs success. With OAOS a song is released while people have barely heard it. This means it will struggle to make the top ten resulting in lost sales of all the Casual buyers that won't notice it.. I think it is safe enough for huge Artists and bands but not so much for the rest.

In the UK her career is fine but Echo under performed a lot in the rest of the world... Or is this thread only about UK performance?? ;)

Nicole Scherzinger is a terrible example. Killer Love is actually her proper debut so what's there to compare it to. Her Name is Nocole wasn't released but she initially tried to crack the US. The only thing that was released here was Baby Love (with no promo) and did ok.. I thought Cher (Album and Believe single) in 1998, Mariah TIOM and LEONA LEWIS - Collide era... Woops sorry I just looked into the future (I hope)

ITs already apparantly the 3rd single in the US.... It goes for Radio ADDS next week..... Bad move i think since HAIR will also probably go No.1 next week and overshadow every other Gaga song... I think she should just concentrate on promo for Judas! :(

E.T has not even been playlisted by Radios yet and the Video is not even out. It was Number 1 on US Itunes and looks set to go Number 1 in the US Hot 100 without a Video.. Without a DOUBT E.T will be top 10 in the UK. The video effect will be massive. :P

People need to stop worrying about Katy. E.T is a guaranteed top 10 when the Video Debuts! :naughty:

Jee Wiz. I was listening to the Album Samplers on Amazon the other day and 2 of the songs sound Identical to Rihanna's "Whats my name" and "Only Girl". I hate pop nowadays. I used to Like Nicole's RnB/Pop stuff. Why oh Why is everything Crappy Dance! Its really annoying. Only Pop stuff I'm feeling these days is Keri Hilson, Avril Lavigne and JoJo. At least they don't sell out as much as the rest. Baby Love + Whatever U Like + HNIN >>>>>>>>>>>> This Generic sounding Record.
