2005 Records Of The Year
here we go...i guess last year was okay for music on the whole, i wonder how many songs i like on this list - omg, 33!!! wow, a record numbers indicate PREFERENCE ORDER, NOT points... 1. Kanye West - Gold Digger 2. Black Eyed Peas - My Humps 3. Audio Bullys ft Nancy Sinatra - Shot You Down (20) 4. Razorlight - Somewhere Else 5. Gwen Stefani - Cool (hollaback girl: more original, way more succesful, more anthemic, the song she'll be known for, just all around better and one of the most important and biggest songs of last year, cool may be more popular on here but its not really the right choice - i mean think about how many ppl will remember, or even have heard of cool when everyone knows hollaback girl. plus i'd have put hollaback girl at no1, one of the all time great records imo) 6. Hard Fi - Hard To Beat 7. Bob Sinclair - Love Generation 8. John Legend - Ordinary People 9. Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor (17) 10. Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict A Riot 11. Kelly Clarkson - Since U Been Gone 12. Killers - Somebody Told Me (where was the far superior and more popular mr brightside last year? i would have put that in my top 3) 13. Gorillaz - Dare 14. Stereophonics - Dakota 15. Mariah Carey - We Belong Together 16. Chemical Brothers - Galvanize 17. Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. (14) 18. Athlete - Wires 19. Sugababes - Push The Button (10) 20. KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See

Hips Don't Lie - Shakira Featuring Wyclef Jean
is HDL peaking in the usa? its only up two places to no27 this week and i thought the download had been released now? and it only climbed 4 places last week...if this is soley airplay obv thats amazing but if the download is now out then maybe she wont even make the top 20 which would be really disappointing. i wish shed start promo in the uk, theres gonna be overkill a too late release etc again and it wont be that succesful. ------------------- Hips Don't Lie - Shakira Featuring Wyclef Jean http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000F6ZO96.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_V55490207_.jpg EU 2-track pressing includes 'Hips Don't Lie' (featuring Wyclef Jean) (Clean Version) and 'Dreams for Plans (Album Version, Clean Version). Packaged in a cardboad wallet. Sony. 2006. - Amazon Hips Don't Lie (Version Completa) [flash=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gUtHxtkfqQ.swf

hips dont lie in the uk
it might be killed by poor promotion over too long a period of time tho...she needs 4 weeks of heavy promo and airplay NOW and get the song out soon
-

2003 RECORDS OF THE YEAR
shocked to see shut up lower down than where is the love...and that delta isnt even top 20, highly surprised so many ppl like evanesence as well, i know that loads of wannabe moshers loved it at the time but it hasnt aged very well imo...the top 3 could have been guessed considering the tastes on this site, but i think time will choose different songs (altho leave right now is will young's signature song i guess)
-
Did you know that!?
OMG I cant believe you guys didnt have any idea what timor was about! do u not watch the news? the whole point of that song is that it was big news during the conflict a few years ago and now everyones forgotten about it even though there are still major problems
-
Flop Number Ones!
the amazing la camisa negra does seem to be headed that way...but a lot of ppl will have heard it on holiday last summer and be bored of it by now. love generation and big city life werent complete flops but were amazing songs that were much more succesful elsewhere
-
Will Young - Who Am I (Out Physically 24/4)
a bland boring song...following a bland boring and very similar song...it may help album sales but i'd reckon itll chart around no7
-
tell me about Shakiras CD
timor is so cheesy and europop and annoying, despite the political message and everything. the day and the time is boring, hey you is forgettable and dull...however i really like illegal, nice ballad, dont bother is amazing and i ****ing love hips dont lie and la tortura. so persuade me to buy it
-
Bob Marley & Lauryn Hill - Turn Your Lights Down Low
surely one of the best songs of the last decade, i have no idea how it didnt make no1, though i guess it wasnt very well promoted
-
tell me about Shakiras CD
i was going to buy it til i heard timor
-
LL Cool J & JLo - Control Myself
to be honest i cant see it charting lower than no3, its awesome and going to be huge, massive club/video/airplay, most ppl seem to love it, i think itll probably be no1
-
Woolies charts
and rihanna will be no2 or perhaps even no1 if GB sales drop
-

Red Hot Chili Peppers possibility next no.1
^ and plus a lot of people i know inc die hard fans think DC is pretty $h!t...
-
Red Hot Chili Peppers possibility next no.1
i LOVE the red hot chili peppers (goin2see the for the first time in july!!!) but i really cant see dani california being that huge, i think itll go top 5 easily but most fans will wait for the album and also i mean its one of the worst songs theyve ever done, the chorus is $h!t, the video isnt that good, i mean the songs only good bit is the final guitar solo...its a really forgettable MOR single...i hope the album is a lot better, tbh half of BTW was quite disappointing
