Allison Iraheta "Just Like You"
The album was released November 2009. IMO it's a good album, with pretty bad single choices <_< They should've released Holiday, Trouble Is and You Don't Know Me. Holiday would make her rock fans happy. Trouble Is would remind people that she might be the next Kelly Clarkson of AI and You Don't Know Me is a great relatable teen song. What do you think? Allison was touring with Adam Lambert and Orianthi this summer (btw I LOVE her Pat Benater's Heartbreaker cover  ) . Also the latest news is that she's been dropped from Jive  ... She sold 103k which is probably far less what they invested in making her album (famous producers and songwriters). She's still with 19E though, Simon Fullers managing company, and still has some promo opportunities listed - she'll be doing songs for the Mattel's Monster High franchise. I do think she'll end up doing good. Some artists would kill for 103k sold debut album copies and having her name recognition. That together with her over 70k twitter followers which she can directly communicate with makes her a really good candidate for a successful artist in the future. With time she'll mature more so all those people who know of her but didn't like her teen behaviour might get invested in her. She alread changed her appearance - started do sports and eat healthier - and is thinner. IMO she'll get snatched by a smaller label or release more music independently. I'm really looking forward to that and I hope her next album will be more rock oriented. Or maybe she'll start a band - that would be cool. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p197/jess8star/905f67f3.jpg http://ryderp.smugmug.com/Music/Allison-Iraheta-at-Musikfest/DSC00826/971144498_pmpTj-M.jpg Also her fangroup, Alliholics, are doing giveaways every month on the 15th. So far they were giving out her Just Like You album on US iTunes. So if you have twitter, US iTunes and want her album check here: Allison Iraheta "Just Like You" free giveaway B)

Salt
Watched this movie with my friends. I was a bit disappointed. I mean, the movies is really good and I wasn't bored at all while watching it. I think the trailer somewhat made it seem much better. I don't know, it was good but I wasn't stunned by anything.

Inception (From the Director of The Dark Knight)
Inception is awesome! I loved it... my friend however not. But I guess my friend doesn't like this kind of movies, she's not a Matrix fan either.

Fringe
Can't wait for the new season, however I don't like the idea for each episode (the first ones) to show the story of either our episode or the alternative one. I would prefer it to be mixed up.

Rizzoli and Isles
Watched the first episode and I'm disappointed... should I give it a chance?

The Glades > Season 1
I really like this show. Lately I discovered 2 great shows that I weren't sa eager to watch. The synopsis to The Glades and Rookie Blue make them seem boring. But those shows really grow on you.

Skunk Anansie - My uglu boy
Honestly I expected their single to suck LOL Which is weird, coz I love Skun Anansie. This song is a really pleasant surprise. As mentioned, not as good as their previous singles, but still good

Is there a lack of Rock Music in the charts?
Agree about the lack of rock on the charts. Real rock exists, but the mainstream radio doesn't give it a chance, that's why it's not on the charts :(

McFly 'Above the Noise' (15th Nov) +

Recommend some music to me
I would recommend: Jack Penate's both albums "Matinee" (indie rock)and "Everything Is New" (indie rock, electro) Justin Nozuka "Holly" (almost acoustic rock) Beth Hart - I love all of her albums, she's a bluesy rock singer, I suggest checking out songs like: Broken and Ugly, Bottle of Jesus, L.A. Song, Am I the One, Get Yo $h!t Together Angus and Julia Stone - they're awesome, listening to their music is like chilling on the beach in a hot summer day. My fav songs: The Beast, Just a Boy, Jewels and Gold, Big Jet Plane

Florence & The Machine - Heavy In Your Arms
They should release "Girl with one Eye" at some point. I love this song. Especially the Bayou persussion version :D

Christina Aguilera-Not Myself Tonight
If it keeps up like this every song on the radio will sound the same... I don't like the electropop crap, but props to Christina for not using auto-tune (at least I don't hear it). Also she's the most talented of the electropop bunch, so good luck Christina - show them all!

Scouting for Girls - Everybody Wants To Be On TV 22/03/2010
Haven't listened to the snippets yet, don't want to spoil myself. The single seems okay, but I hope for better songs on the album. Hope their second album will ber a fun as the first one :D

Allison Iraheta - Scars
Found this... it's a bonus track from the Japanese release of her album. It's very poppy, even more thatn FOBOU. I admit, I'm happy it's not on the album, I prefer the more raw (Scars) and aggresive (Holiday) Allison, I hate when they mess with her voice. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>" data-tag="youtube" data-tagfull="<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>"><object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Beat The Devil’s Tattoo
Awesome song and a great new album - they were streaming the whole album on their myspace like 2 weeks ago.

Nick Jonas & The Administration - Who I Am
I gave it a try recently encouraged by a friend. Not sure what to think of it. Musically it's like a mixture of The Wallflowers and John Mayer that I like... but Nick's voice is too weak sounding, very boyish. If he will record something with a similar vibe few years from now I'm pretty sure I will like it, his voice just needs to mature.

Allison Iraheta - Scars
Yes! I'm so happy! :yahoo: Allison's got a second single and it's Scars - finaly something that shows off her voice I hope it will do well on the radio and can't wait for the music video. So far few stations added the song, hopefuly people will request it and this number will grow. There was an article in EW recently that feautured Allison as the next big star and where Z100's PD picked "Scars" as his one of his 3 favorite songs. Hopefully it will mean something, fingers crossed! Allison premiered Scars 2 weeks ago on American Idol name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" data-tag="youtube" data-tagfull="<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"><object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> It looks like the last part was to Simon haha :teresa:
