Kay...the video is 3mins 10secs, the song is exactly 3 mins. I agree about the backing vocals being too loud but then again it was all done in two days...I hasten to remind people that the official entry arrived half done, at least this is a complete arrangement.

Its not a singer competition, but maybe you didnt realise that?

Typing Eurovision into Google as one does, I came across a song on YouTube entitled “Time Stood Still” the alternative Eurovision UK entry. I clicked on play fearing the worst! I was pleasantly surprised, great melody, great arrangement, instantly hummable and beautifully sung. Intrigued I messaged the person concerned and asked for a little more info. This was the reply: (quote) Hi Emily, Thank you for your nice words, its really great to get feedback especially from a Eurovision junkie (we are a rare breed indeed) You guessed right, this is not our first Eurovision song, it is in fact the fifth we have sent to the Beeb over the last seven years, but as yet we haven’t received a reply LOL. In answer to your second question, no we are not big time anything, just love to write songs and perform…but yes, I would love one of our songs to figure in a Eurovision final…and I wouldn’t even mind if they didn’t want me to sing it. It took us two days to write arrange and record, hence its not perfect, but we were so angry and disappointed with the lack of care and passion shown by organizers and writers (especially the presentation of a half finished song) that we had to get it out there quickly hoping that their were others that felt the same as us. We don’t think we have the right to have our song heard, but just want to show that the UK has a plethora of great writers, maybe not well known but passionate about what they do. Oh well, there’s always next year….maybe after the nil points we’ll get this year I’ll actually get a reply from auntie Beeb! (quote) Nuff said I think!
