I don't think any of us did! I was expecting it to be low top 5/just below. Mind you it might still end up there. :P Never expected #1 on iTunes with just under a 50% lead. Anyone know what other songs (preferably #1's) this year have had such a big lead on iTunes?

It'll end up being quite tight between them and JT I think, I keep forgetting other download sites like Amazon etc will be factored into sales too so that could give him another boost should the multiple versions of Mirrors fly high on iTunes and especially if The Sats start falling and their lead on iTunes slides but fingers crossed. I don't wanna get carried away yet haha, still prepared for the worst.

So Daybreak in the morning then.. I'm off to bed. Hopefully it still increases a tad or stabilises. :)

How many versions of Mirrors will JT have from tomorrow? Two? Or more? The one from the deluxe edition which is currently #3 anyway, and the other from the standard album edition? Hmm. Still quite worried about him. I guess if the girls make it to Thursday at the top they'll just do it? Doubt they'll still be there though. And Beyonce dropping Bow Down clearly means she's gearing up to start her campaign off. Just one more week please, Bey. :)

I don't think they do really. Hopefully Alan Carr will help them. It's hard to get out there, as other than the usual shows they turn up on and will be appearing on this week, there's doesn't seem to be any big primetime TV programmes that pull in big numbers other than Ant & Dec really at the moment?

Hmm surely 1D will start falling more through the week? Guess The Sats will too though (as per lol), it's probably Justin we've got to watch out for the most. Well regardless, at least they'll hopefully/probably be #1 on The Big Top 40 Show on Capital later today haha. I'll take that if they can't make it to Sunday. :P But hey ho, at least they've got their 12th top 10 hit guaranteed.

I can't believe how quick it got there... usually right now we'd still be refreshing iTunes and they'd still be around #11-#15 etc! Even if it doesn't hold on, that's a great achivement! What other artist singles climbed to #1 by noon?

They *need* to put the Sats only version up now to help them out.

Ugh a few of the posters in the Chart forum are childish. Fair enough you don't like them but all the sly digs and to label and belittle us fans as loons and so on just because we happen to be interested in their success (like I'm sure they are with their faves) is just pathetic. Sure, one or two fan comments have been on the OTT side but still. Their hypocrisy is also kinda funny. Sure, I don't think they're wrong in saying they may not hold onto it if they get there but I was reading through the Rita Ora iTunes thread for R.I.P. - the girls' iTunes climb is pretty much the same as Rita's - last year, and some that are putting them down and ignoring how well it's all going at the mo were saying how amazing and astonishing her climb was, how fast it climbed up, how it was a cert etc (sure, I don't doubt that it's much less certain what with The Sats history and the fact it was Rita's debut) but even so, minor double standards or what. #2. Yay. :)

This is so exciting. Never climbed this quickly before! Usually they're low top 20/top 30 this time of day right?! I'm just enjoying the climb while it lasts in case the - most likely - inevitable happens. :P There's clearly still interest in them so that's a positive whatever goes down.
