  1. I think it's released in January in both territories. They won't be on XF this year, if ever so maybe we shouldn't dwell on that too much this year haha. Apparently (emphasis on apparently) the likes of Stooshe, Cover Drive and Lawson - among others who've been around over the last year/few months - are potentially performing on there this year though... which is annoying seeing as they've only been around five minutes but they both have albums to promote around the time of the live shows whereas The Sats won't. Lawson - and Cover Drive I think - are also signed to Global Talent so no surprise that they may be getting an appearance. Anywaaaaay... no more XF talk from me. :P Great to see Darkchild involved in the new era. I like his work. I want a fierce R&B jam like Lose My Breath by Destiny's Child and a full on pop uptempo like Gaga's Telephone please! :D
  2. Sats world just gets better and better right now!! Watch something come along and jinx it lol. :P They're apparently working with Darkchild for the new album (it's been in The Sun who are usually quite spot on with Sats stuff, they reported the girls were signed to Mercury in the US before the girls said anything, and I saw a tweet someone posted three-ish days ago with someone saying about seeing the girls at Darkchild's place). Just in case people aren't familiar with what he's produced, there's a list on Wiki and elsewhere online too but here's some highlights: Gaga/Beyonce - Telephone Destiny's Child - Say My Name and Lose My Breath Bieber - As Long As You Love Me Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops and The Spirit Indestructible Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up Beyonce - Deja Vu Spice Girls - Let Love Lead The Way and Holler (and other tracks) Whitney - It's Not Right, But It's Okay Britney - He About To Lose Me and Don't Keep Me Waiting J Lo - If You Had My Love :w00t: He worked with MJ, TLC, Backstreet Boys (remember Mollie tweeted about working with a producer who's worked with them and Britney a few weeks ago??) too. :) Plenty of artists across the years. I'm excited for them, everything seems to be going well for once... please let's not have a cock up happen for this era/campaign haha! I do prefer his older work to the newer stuff he's done with Furtado and Bieber though. Dr Luke/Max Martin/Stargate would just be the icing on the cake and probably guaranteed US smashes but I'll forget about them as I very much doubt The Sats could get them haha... but who knows? Be great to get them with Carl Falk/Rami Yacoub again who did White Lies and 1D's What Makes You Beautiful etc. Just listening to What About Us again... the loud heavy drum beat through the whole song is epic! Like a carnival sounding beat. I kinda wish the intro had a bit of 'explosiveness' with the drum sound exploding at the start before the instrumental before Rochelle starts singing kicks in, and again when the instrumental fades out another drum sounding bash to give the intro/outro a bit of oomph to it. Will wait for studio version to fully judge but while I reaaaally like the sound of it, I don't know if America will sit up and take notice of them with What About Us?
  3. Chasing Lights  I hope they have a similar ballad on the next album and they perform it in the US on TV and it makes them blow up even more, and America falls in love with them.. oh for this to happen! :P
  4. I'm pleased it seems more poppy/less dancey than expected... I like the sound of the hard drum-esque beat in the background throughout the track (it seems to always be there apart from the 'whatever the weather....' sections in case anyone was wondering what I'm on about haha).
  5. Are there ad libs towards the end of the track? The videos have been taken down now and I couldn't really make out if there were or not, I think there were and I hope I'm right because they sounded great. :D And I might be wrong but it sounds like in the intro to the song it has a voice talking.. can't make out what was said but it sounds like it was part of the track?? Choreography looks great too. Nailed it! They've gone down a storm over there, so many people praising and liking them who saw the girls. And lol at some people on Twitter saying The Sats won't win anyone over with their red carpet look at the VMAs... er, it's an awards show.. of course they're gonna glam it up... they're hardly gonna turn up in jeans and check shirts are they?! :P I like the sound of the track without Sean Paul.. hmm, I hope he doesn't mess it too much or they replace a good part of the track with his input. I just hope people don't get bored of it or it suffers illegal downloads etc by the time January comes... I really want this campaign to blow up and not get messed up for them.
  6. Well I like the sound of it, but I don't know if it's debut US single material... I don't think it's 'big' enough or makes much of a statement about them to get people sitting up and taking notice of them/buying it? I hope I'm wrong! :P I really hope they handle this release right.
  7. http://pbs.twimg.com/media/A2JWhoqCUAAx41D.png Amazing. So proud and excited for them! :D Oh, and they're the first British girl group to hit the VMAs red carpet since The Spice Girls - who several of the American interviewers have said the girls are like haha.
  8. VMAs tomorrow. :D The girls had a fitting last night. Hope they are doing the red carpet, would be a nice way to 'debut' over there. Wonder if they'll be on TV when they go to the audience shots of the artists/crowd, probs not, people will be like 'who are they?' or just assume they're randomers in the audience haha but still. :P
  9. Listening to Crashing Down. :D One of my fave B-Sides by the girls.
  10. It'll be interesting to see if Capital do get back onboard with What About Us. I really, really hope it does well both sides of the pond, and has longevity/widespread appeal outside the fanbase too.. hopefully it strikes a chord with the general public and they buy into it too. They really need to kill it and be on top of their game now what with Little Mix/Stooshe around, they can't afford to make the same mistakes with this release. I hope the song itself is a bit fun and poppy, has a bit of life/personality to it. I know they said it's dancey but I hope not too full on and it still retains a bit of their 'pure pop' sound..
  11. 2ndAdventure, so it seems like you have heard it? Since people at the US club where What About Us was played the other night were replying to fans on Twitter etc about the song, so I guess you can say similar as in whether it's good etc - is Frankie right - is it really the girls' best single? Do you think it could it do well stateside or is it too dancey? I'm excited but nervous. :P There better be a big chorus! Yikes, January is such a long wait. I hope revealing stuff now doesn't kill the hype, cause people to get fed up before the song is played for the first time - guess we'll hear it end of November/early December... and I hope it doesn't leak either!
  12. If it's not released until Jan in both UK and US (which the mailer seems to suggest) why are they hyping it and talking about it now? Oh dear, it's just gonna be the same mistakes again isn't it haha? I know we've all been impatient for news/confirmation on the single but yeah... January is 4/5 months away. Hmm. I hope they know what they're doing... It'd be nice if in the promo pics of their new image they could somehow bring their names into the pics or something, not sure how but anything to get people knowing the girls names and identifying them etc.. make each girl stand out with something they can be identified by... could help people instead of saying 'my fave is the blonde one' etc etc. :P
  13. Time for the thread title to change then since What About Us is confirmed. :D Ooh, the girls are attending the VMAs and doing the red carpet apparently!! AMAZING. Then they're performing at Perez Hilton's VMA aftershow party with Rita Ora also playing among others. We have no news for ages and then it all comes at once.. I can't cope. So excited for them. :D I love the first promo pictures for their new look/new era too... the colour is back! And they all look individual which is good but it all works together. Well, I like it bar Una's wonky tiara. :P
  14. Haha, that's my problem too! People have said it's good and we needn't worry, someone else said it's very good... then Frankie tweets how it might just be their best song... (2ndAdventure, is Frankie right? :P) I hope it is but I don't wanna get carried away like I did with them hyping up 30 Days and ending up being a bit disappointed by it.
  15. ^ Are there more pics? What site did you get that from? :) I think it'll look a bit weird with Una, Roch and Frankie in similar outfits (denim shorts and converse) and then Mollie and Ness in completely different outfits from the pap pics..
  16. Kinda itching for some sort of news/teasers about the single now they've started talking about it a little bit. I really hope Frankie means it when she says it could be their best song, they really need to start killing it in all areas now there's a plethora of girlbands coming on the scene.
  17. Ha one of the comments in that list - 'Just wish they would disappear'... wtf haha, you don't have to click every news item about them, listen to their songs or follow them. You can choose to 'ignore' them. That comment doesn't make sense, what an idiot lol.
  18. I've never really paid attention to her or been interested in her, nor really listened to her music, but this is amazing! I'm looking forward to the rest of the album now... think she may have a new fan haha.

They're leaving for America tomorrow! :D Exciting! Going for 3 months apparently.

It was pretty awful... I only carried on watching for Una but think I'll give the rest of the shows a miss now.. It all looked so amateur, especially the camera work and the set, and tbh, the whole show itself. The show won't do well ratings/popularity/interest wise at all so it won't 'help' in any way whatsoever. Now I agree Jay was right - that this all did seem a bit of a waste of time, even if it was all filmed back in June when they had nothing going on lol. Una namedropping Ben was a bit cringey too hahaha.. ah well, she looked great, and some of her comments weren't too bad? Only positives I could think of... Hopefully this whole thing will be forgotten about in a few months time... :P
  21. Yeah but they said that about 30 Days haha. Hopefully this time she isn't mincing her words... :P
  22. July now so maybe we'll get some info soon! Obviously this Wiki page was all bull, but anyway! Also.. is it silly to worry that I think Little Mix are about to put The Sats to shame in all aspects? Just heard their single 'Wings'... it's quite good... worry they're gonna make The Sats look like bigger 'flops' than they already are! The girls need to head over to the US and release Higher before Little Mix beat them to it because I could see Wings and the girls themselves being big over there lol. I like both groups but yeah.. I'm just hating the fact there will be constant put downs flying between fanbases who can't see it's okay to like both groups haha, and then people constantly comparing both groups all the time, whether that be with sales or styling or the music itself. The only interest the The Saturdays generate in the media/press are to do with their personal lives and their fashion.. mind you, at least they're starting to be singled out/known more individually now when before people wouldn't really have a clue who they all were apart from Frankie.
  23. That isn't Una's actual dress - that picture is from a photoshoot she did with OK Magazine. :) But The Sats look so beautiful in their bridesmaids dresses! I love how close they are. Can't wait to see a group shot of all five of them together all smiles in their dresses! Hope Ben and Una are having a lovely day and night with their family and friends today. Congrats to Benuna! :D

Why? It's not like it's live shows - it's all pre-recorded for three nights on the trot, all the shows were filmed over a few days in mid June, when they've (The Sats) had nothing going on! It's not like she's going to be doing this for months on end every Saturday night like XF or something, it won't interfere with future plans..
