  1. Noo thanks, that'd seem like a step back rather than a step forward.
  2. Think it's one of the Xenomania tracks they recorded and wrote with Brian and Miranda from early January when they were in the studio with them for a week. :) I hope it's proper 50s styled and they're dressed in 50s style outfits/costumes and stuff, seeing as they filmed the video in one of those retro American diners in London.
  3. That might not be Rochelle's outfit for the video? May just be something casual for between takes maybe?
  4. You and me both. If it's true, they really don't help themselves. I'll have no sympathy this time round. Surely it's so obvious it would flop? They need something more bold and 'harder' that people can instantly like. This will not be the hit they desperately need right now.
  5. I know right.... this is going to do terribly. Get Ready, Get Set and White Lies would be much better choices. They don't have a clue. It's stupid, but I'm so frustrated with management for picking this of all the tracks. They're utterly clueless, this will do more harm to them than the mess they're currently in when this flops too. It's not a strong enough track to be a single, it's bland and sounds so rusty and old now. :(
  6. I long for the day they get a Brit nomination, see them on the red carpet, see them at their table on TV, see their reactions if they won an award and maybe even perform on the stage. That day will never come, will it? :P :(
  7. I wish they'd stick with one producer an album, I know it's nice to mix it up but perhaps that's where they go wrong - they use so many producers that the sound of each song and overall sound of the record as a whole piece is all over the place, in a way and they can't find a definitive sound by using a mish mash of producers all the time? This is just me saying I want a whole Xenomania album haha but I think the fact they use several producers doesn't help them connect with the public in the sense of there not being a 'traditional' and obvious Saturdays sound that the public would instantly recognise and say 'That's a Saturdays song' etc? The public don't know what they're getting with the girls, they chase trends - yes, it's good for a hit I guess - but nothing that helps grow their own sound and style - and that might be one element as to why they're struggling...?
  8. There's no official confirmation on what they're doing so let's not jump to conclusions. If you're going by what Capital said, then that's not reliable since they'll just be guessing and they take news/rumours from various other gossip sites.
  9. This era is finished. It'd be too late to shoot a proper video for a new single I guess since Una's giving birth next month, in a matter of weeks now. They're just gonna move on. Frustrating. I can't see anything saving this album, annoyingly. Shame it's done so badly as it's easily their best album for me. Wordshaker really did wreck their career. Trying to be positive but I can't see them ever recapturing the success of the Chasing Lights era. :( Ah well... we'll see what their Xenomania sessions bring! :)
  10. I know I was terrible for the whole 'praying they get an XF performance this year' :P, but can we rule that out for this year? There's probably no chance they'll be invited on now if they didn't get on pre-OYR flop. Anyway, I'm so excited to see what they've been doing with Xenomania this week! Really happy to see Miranda (Cooper) is involved. And obviously with Brian behind it all will mean something special. :D
  11. Not good. Well, it's not not good, it's bloody disastrous. :( But on a lighter note, the girls are recording with Xenomania at the moment. Brian Higgins was doing a webchat and announced they're in the studio at the minute. :D Very happy they're back working with them! Call The Shots/Girl Overboard/The Promise/Loving Kind/Untouchable part 2 please. :P
  12. There's no actual confirmation for Rochelle getting married in March other than gossip mags, which are usually just that... gossip.
  13. I hope they tack on a B-side album!
  14. Missing You vs. All Fired Up Ego vs. Notorious Higher vs. Faster Forever Is Over vs. My Heart Takes Over Died In Your Eyes vs. Get Ready, Get Set Karma vs. The Way You Watch Me Puppet vs. For Myself One Shot (Starsmith Mix) vs. Do What You Want With Me Here Standing vs. Promise Me Lose Control vs. Wish I Didn't Know Deeper vs. White Lies Higher (ft. Flo Rida) vs. Last Call Ready To Rise vs. I Say OK Had It With Today vs. Move On U 8-6 to On Your Radar. :)
  15. No it wouldn't, Moves Like Jagger would have been #1 had Pixie not released that week (4th September).

    1. Una 2. Rochelle 3. Mollie 4. Frankie 5. Vanessa
  17. Hope I'm not too late! 11 All Fired Up 10 Notorious 10 Faster 05 My Heart Takes Over 10 Get Ready, Get Set 08 The Way You Watch Me 08 For Myself 08 Do What You Want With Me 07 Promise Me 04 Wish I Didn't Know 10 White Lies 09 Last Call 07 I Say OK 08 Move On U I think All Fired Up is my favourite Saturdays single. It never gets old for me - with every listen it still sounds like it did from the first back in August when it premiered. :D Such a good album. All Fired Up, Notorious (this really grew on me after hearing it live on tour), Faster, Get Ready Get Set, White Lies and Last Call are my 'main' favourites/stand outs. :) Wish I Didn't Know and My Heart Takes Over are the only real 'duds' for me.

Obviously single sales are higher now but it's still interesting to see. :) I agree with Jay - I really hope we can add a massive hit to this list for The Saturdays that tops Up, Higher and Ego at the top. Hopefully it'll be this year... (wishful thinking most probably...) :P
  19. She sings in Faster and a few others I think, but you're right, she has a very low profile on the album.
  20. Faster is now trending on Twitter. :D
  21. Yaaay, congrats to them! Two Sats weddings. :D
  22. Frustrating times. :( It really is one of the best pop albums this year imo, gutting to see the album not recieving the sales it deserves. No idea where they go from here. And I'll be genuinely shocked (but pleased with more new Sats music) if they do record a new album next year... said this already but I need more Xenomania tracks from them :P But more pop rooted tracks, rather than the all out dancier All Fired Up/Get Ready... Perhaps it'd be better (and cheaper) to churn out a greatest hits, release it around end of summer so it doesn't get buried like OYR did in the Xmas rush, and see how that would do. It seemed to work for Girls Aloud. If it doesn't have a similar effect for The Sats then maybe it'd be time to call it a day :/ They've the right number of singles there for a Greatest Hits - all the singles, 2 new tracks maybe and perhaps even a B Side collection too - I want a CD of their B-Sides so badly! And also, I guess it's an image problem that is causing the public to be hesitant and fully accepting of the girls? I like their image this era, but perhaps for the public they've grown up a bit too quickly? Maybe they can still keep the whole 'mature' and grown up style but make it a bit more colourful and brighter - like the All Fired Up single artwork. Kinda caters for everyone then, and doesn't really alienate their younger fans?

Nah, they won't be nominated. Would be nice to see them get some recognition though but they won't.
  24. Recording in March onwards? So that means another album suffering in the end of year albums rush then....?!! Argh. So frustrating supporting these girls!!! If - and by some miracle - they actually do record a new album, they should go back to the colours theme, kinda like the AFU single artwork and ditch the whole 'sexy mature' thing. I think I'd quite like an Xenomania produced album - just pure pop with a mix of uptempos and midtempos/electropop ballads (the more ballad-y tracks kinda in the vein of Call The Shots/The Loving Kind/Untouchable etc)... nothing too dancey like AFU or Get Ready Get Set. But then again, the traditional 'Sats sound' tracks are produced/written by Steve and Ina so... I don't know but I want them to work more with Xenomania personally.
  25. Do we think there will be some kind of OK mag/Hello mag deal involved? :P Una strikes me as quite private with stuff like that so I doubt it. Wonder if the other girls will be bridesmaids!
