This era is finished. It'd be too late to shoot a proper video for a new single I guess since Una's giving birth next month, in a matter of weeks now. They're just gonna move on. Frustrating. I can't see anything saving this album, annoyingly. Shame it's done so badly as it's easily their best album for me. Wordshaker really did wreck their career. Trying to be positive but I can't see them ever recapturing the success of the Chasing Lights era. :( Ah well... we'll see what their Xenomania sessions bring! :)

I know I was terrible for the whole 'praying they get an XF performance this year' :P, but can we rule that out for this year? There's probably no chance they'll be invited on now if they didn't get on pre-OYR flop. Anyway, I'm so excited to see what they've been doing with Xenomania this week! Really happy to see Miranda (Cooper) is involved. And obviously with Brian behind it all will mean something special. :D

Not good. Well, it's not not good, it's bloody disastrous. :( But on a lighter note, the girls are recording with Xenomania at the moment. Brian Higgins was doing a webchat and announced they're in the studio at the minute. :D Very happy they're back working with them! Call The Shots/Girl Overboard/The Promise/Loving Kind/Untouchable part 2 please. :P

There's no actual confirmation for Rochelle getting married in March other than gossip mags, which are usually just that... gossip.

I hope they tack on a B-side album!

It never gets old for me - with every listen it still sounds like it did from the first back in August when it premiered. :D Such a good album. All Fired Up, Notorious (this really grew on me after hearing it live on tour), Faster, Get Ready Get Set, White Lies and Last Call are my 'main' favourites/stand outs. :) Wish I Didn't Know and My Heart Takes Over are the only real 'duds' for me.

Obviously single sales are higher now but it's still interesting to see. :) I agree with Jay - I really hope we can add a massive hit to this list for The Saturdays that tops Up, Higher and Ego at the top. Hopefully it'll be this year... (wishful thinking most probably...) :P

She sings in Faster and a few others I think, but you're right, she has a very low profile on the album.

Frustrating times. :( It really is one of the best pop albums this year imo, gutting to see the album not recieving the sales it deserves. No idea where they go from here. And I'll be genuinely shocked (but pleased with more new Sats music) if they do record a new album next year... said this already but I need more Xenomania tracks from them :P But more pop rooted tracks, rather than the all out dancier All Fired Up/Get Ready... Perhaps it'd be better (and cheaper) to churn out a greatest hits, release it around end of summer so it doesn't get buried like OYR did in the Xmas rush, and see how that would do. It seemed to work for Girls Aloud. If it doesn't have a similar effect for The Sats then maybe it'd be time to call it a day :/ They've the right number of singles there for a Greatest Hits - all the singles, 2 new tracks maybe and perhaps even a B Side collection too - I want a CD of their B-Sides so badly! And also, I guess it's an image problem that is causing the public to be hesitant and fully accepting of the girls? I like their image this era, but perhaps for the public they've grown up a bit too quickly? Maybe they can still keep the whole 'mature' and grown up style but make it a bit more colourful and brighter - like the All Fired Up single artwork. Kinda caters for everyone then, and doesn't really alienate their younger fans?

Nah, they won't be nominated. Would be nice to see them get some recognition though but they won't.

Recording in March onwards? So that means another album suffering in the end of year albums rush then....?!! Argh. So frustrating supporting these girls!!! If - and by some miracle - they actually do record a new album, they should go back to the colours theme, kinda like the AFU single artwork and ditch the whole 'sexy mature' thing. I think I'd quite like an Xenomania produced album - just pure pop with a mix of uptempos and midtempos/electropop ballads (the more ballad-y tracks kinda in the vein of Call The Shots/The Loving Kind/Untouchable etc)... nothing too dancey like AFU or Get Ready Get Set. But then again, the traditional 'Sats sound' tracks are produced/written by Steve and Ina so... I don't know but I want them to work more with Xenomania personally. :blush:

Do we think there will be some kind of OK mag/Hello mag deal involved? :P Una strikes me as quite private with stuff like that so I doubt it. Wonder if the other girls will be bridesmaids!

It's Christmas and New Year, for crying out loud. They're not taking a random 2 week holiday off like they did around the Notorious release. They've been on the road for almost three weeks now rehearsing, on stages around the UK for 13 90 minute shows over 2 weeks... and they're idiots for having a bit of time off - like pretty much everyone else in the UK will be - to spend with their families and friends over the next week for Xmas and New Year and to rest themselves for the first few months of 2012? :blink: While I don't think they should have toured this month, and the tour is hardly on the scale of Gaga etc, and I think instead been out promoting the album anywhere and everywhere, they do need a bit of downtime to sort themselves out and freshen themselves up for the next few months - especially Una. After the first few days of New Year they'll be straight back into the thick of things and trying to sort this out and finalise a potential 4th single asap and shoot the vid late/mid Jan. I hope.

Sooo happy for Una and Ben. I was there tonight and it was such a nice moment when the girls ran over to her when she started crying, the crowd just cheered for ages. :D

How long you gonna give it before you ditch Little Mix for the next girlband? :P You're not a 'fan' of any artist, clearly a glory hunter who latches on to who's popular. Sad. :lol: It is okay to like two girlbands at the same time you know..

Yeah I read that back and my bad. :P Anyway, people have no problem with having 3 boybands shoved down our throats at the moment though with 1D, JLS and The Wanted so it's hardly affected them not having a 'Britain's biggest boyband' tag - people buy into all 3 of them still. I agree The Sats are the biggest by default, that's been obvious all along and it doesn't take a genius to work that out... nevertheless it's frustrating because The Sats have had 2 years by now to properly cement themselves as the biggest through sales but they still haven't managed it. Besides there was an interview with Little Mix put up today and they said they see themselves as different to The Sats and they look up to them... I don't see why both can't be successful girlbands. We need more girlbands! Oh, and I don't really get you saying Little Mix are finally worthy of the mantle of best in Britain when they haven't released their own material yet... perhaps next year. I'm excited to see what the future holds for Little Mix. :D

I love them, so happy they won! :D I'll get the physical me thinks - it's out on Wednesday right? Do we really need to get digs in at The Saturdays though? :zzz: I don't think The Sats will last much longer (think they'll split mid/end of 2012) but there's more than enough room for 2 girlbands and to like them both when we've 3 boybands on the scene at the moment... don't see why people need to belittle one group to big the other up, or feel they have to like one but dislike the other, or act like it's a competition between them... it's silly. IMO both Little Mix and The Sats are very different image wise and probably in terms of sound too so it's easy to like both without the need to make out one's better than the other. Although I'd guess Little Mix will most likely definitely surpass The Sats achievements in about half the time lol.:P So excited for these girls, big fan already! Jade's my favourite. :)
