On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion) (Part 2)
It's Christmas and New Year, for crying out loud. They're not taking a random 2 week holiday off like they did around the Notorious release. They've been on the road for almost three weeks now rehearsing, on stages around the UK for 13 90 minute shows over 2 weeks... and they're idiots for having a bit of time off - like pretty much everyone else in the UK will be - to spend with their families and friends over the next week for Xmas and New Year and to rest themselves for the first few months of 2012? While I don't think they should have toured this month, and the tour is hardly on the scale of Gaga etc, and I think instead been out promoting the album anywhere and everywhere, they do need a bit of downtime to sort themselves out and freshen themselves up for the next few months - especially Una. After the first few days of New Year they'll be straight back into the thick of things and trying to sort this out and finalise a potential 4th single asap and shoot the vid late/mid Jan. I hope.

Una Healy is getting married
Sooo happy for Una and Ben. I was there tonight and it was such a nice moment when the girls ran over to her when she started crying, the crowd just cheered for ages. :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you've also done this. (Like myself at times :P)

Time to change your username then? Bore off, stop dancing on your own grave and posting here if you're just going to quit liking a group just because of a chart position but not because of the music itself. How long you gonna give it before you ditch Little Mix for the next girlband? :P You're not a 'fan' of any artist, clearly a glory hunter who latches on to who's popular. Sad. It is okay to like two girlbands at the same time you know..

Little Mix - Cannonball
Yeah I read that back and my bad. :P Anyway, people have no problem with having 3 boybands shoved down our throats at the moment though with 1D, JLS and The Wanted so it's hardly affected them not having a 'Britain's biggest boyband' tag - people buy into all 3 of them still. I agree The Sats are the biggest by default, that's been obvious all along and it doesn't take a genius to work that out... nevertheless it's frustrating because The Sats have had 2 years by now to properly cement themselves as the biggest through sales but they still haven't managed it. Besides there was an interview with Little Mix put up today and they said they see themselves as different to The Sats and they look up to them... I don't see why both can't be successful girlbands. We need more girlbands! Oh, and I don't really get you saying Little Mix are finally worthy of the mantle of best in Britain when they haven't released their own material yet... perhaps next year. I'm excited to see what the future holds for Little Mix. :D

Little Mix - Cannonball
I love them, so happy they won! :D I'll get the physical me thinks - it's out on Wednesday right? Do we really need to get digs in at The Saturdays though? I don't think The Sats will last much longer (think they'll split mid/end of 2012) but there's more than enough room for 2 girlbands and to like them both when we've 3 boybands on the scene at the moment... don't see why people need to belittle one group to big the other up, or feel they have to like one but dislike the other, or act like it's a competition between them... it's silly. IMO both Little Mix and The Sats are very different image wise and probably in terms of sound too so it's easy to like both without the need to make out one's better than the other. Although I'd guess Little Mix will most likely definitely surpass The Sats achievements in about half the time lol.:P So excited for these girls, big fan already! Jade's my favourite. :)

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion) (Part 2)
I agree with all you said, Jay. There's not much to be positive about at the minute. :( It'll do think that Little Mix's arrival will give The Sats good, healthy competition now... it'll force them to - hopefully - be here, there and everywhere so they don't become forgotten or overshadowed I hope... although I will say the embarrassing thing for The Sats is that Little Mix will probably surpass pretty much a fair bit that The Saturdays have achieved in half the time (along with that #1 single!). Not gonna lie though, I've just have a nagging feeling that 2012 will be the last year of The Sats. I think they'll split next year. I love both groups and there's room for two girlbands but already just doing a simple search on Twitter makes it a bit disheartening to see tweets like 'The Saturdays are finished, we only need Little Mix' 'I bet The Saturdays all chucked their remote controls at the TV when Little Mix won' 'Bye The Saturdays' etc etc.... I think it's nice (however staged it is/was) that Little Mix clearly like and look up to The Sats and the girls themselves like Little Mix and vice versa, I don't see why we can have 3 big boybands at once but only 1 girlband at any one time, and have to dislike bands that are coming through etc! And it's annoying how people only seem to like one artist at a time and put them down for no apparent reason (fair enough if people don't like them.. but still... - I don't see why can't people like both Little Mix and The Sats at the same time, and it has to be made into a competition? They may be both girlgroups, but I think they're both different in image and potentially sound too. It's weird and it's frustrating but I'm very happy we've got 2 really good girlbands at the moment... but looking at the wider picture it looks as though the public aren't and probably never will be fully accepting of The Saturdays - they still haven't managed to fully make their mark while they've been the only girl group around for the past 2-ish years. I do hope the arrival of Little Mix doesn't spell the end of The Sats, I just hope it makes them work harder and keep pushing but I'm not sure really. As much as it feels like they're never going to find their way out of this mess now, surely they'll be able to reap some kind of reward down the line? :( Doubtful, but we can hope.

The Saturdays Arena Tour
Do you mean the capacity for each venue? :) The girls' tour is all seated I think so I've had a fish around for the maximum capacity for the venues. Fri 2nd Dec - Bournemouth - Bournemouth International Centre - 6,500 Sat 3rd Dec - Liverpool - Echo Arena - 10,000 Mon 5th Dec - Cardiff - Motorpoint Arena - 5,000 Tues 6th Dec - Brighton - Brighton Centre - 4,500 Thurs 8th Dec - Birmingham - LG Arena - 16,000 Fri 9th Dec - Manchester - MEN Arena - 21,000 (obviously this number will be smaller for the girls to fill since they've blocked off the upper tiers I think?) Sat 10th Dec - Newcastle - Metro Radio Arena - 11,000 Mon 12th Dec - Nottingham - Capital FM Arena - 10,000 Tues 13th Dec - Glasgow - SECC - 10,000 Thurs 15th Dec - Sheffield - Motorpoint Arena - 13,500 Fri 16th Dec - London - Wembley Arena - 12,500 Sun 18th Dec - Belfast - Odyssey Arena - 14,000 Mon 19th Dec - Dublin - The O2 Arena - 9,500

This album is incredible! Fairytale, Glitter and Gold and Teach Me How To Be Loved are my favourites.:D Hope she gets the success she deserves!

The Saturdays Arena Tour
So Bournemouth, Liverpool, Cardiff were all packed out, if not a complete sell out. Very happy for the girls! :D And if Manchester's reportedly sold out and Belfast close to selling out too - then phew! :D I was worried they'd be playing to half empty arenas.

The Saturdays Arena Tour
The show does actually look a lot better with more videos coming in now. :) What would have been cool along with some pyrotechnics for the Notorious entrance would have been for them to each fly between the long curtains they use for the section where Missing You is sung!

The Saturdays Arena Tour
The show and setlist looks good (bar the exclusion of White Lies - booo!), but it looks more like a theatre tour set. I know they wouldn't have had a huge budget to put on a show like Rihanna, Gaga or Katy etc but still.. I thought the set would look a bit more advanced and bigger. It looks a bit basic for an arena. And I'd have LOVED those firework/spark thingys that shoot up into the air from the stage for when the lift started lowering down after the intro VT, and again once the lift had landed on the stage just as Frankie and Vanessa opened the lift doors, just before Mollie started singing her first line... and for the revolving circle on the catwalk to lift them up :(

The Saturdays Arena Tour
There are pics on Getty Images of the girls in dress rehearsals if anyone wants to look...! http://www.gettyimages.co.uk - then search The Saturdays in the search box on the top left! It does look good, but I think stupidly I've expected a bit too much.. from those few pics it doesn't really look any different to their theatre tours.. but they are only a few pictures circling so hopefully the set looks bigger and better and they do go all out - it was only a dress rehearsal after all I suppose. Some of the costumes look a bit tacky. Excited though - entrance looks epic! :D As long as there are sparks, confetti and they fly above the stage (they said they wanted to do that the most so hopefully they do!) I'll be happy! :P

Oh dear! :( Still, as long as the fans enjoy the tour. I'm excited!

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 1)
If this is true, then I hope there's no generic club video of them making eyes at Travie but that's what we'll probably get really, won't we? I'd love something like a retro themed video of them in 60s character (with the beehives, haha) at one of those old fashioned drive in open air cinemas where they come across Travie and a group of guys or something. I don't know why but the instrumental and guitar riffs gives off a bit of a retro/60s-ish vibe. To me, anyway lol. Reading that back it actually sounds like a really shit idea, but it sounded better in my head! This track kinda reminds me of Flo Rida's 'Good Feeling' and that's doing well in the charts at the moment so maybe this could too. Won't be getting my hopes up though!

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 1)
Since people have the track on the album now, will most people bother to download it as a single too? Oh, and a quiet release week please! I can't deal with the stress of another 'chart battle'. :P They've not released a single after the album release since Issues and Work have they? There are better tracks but this choice will probably bring in some promo thanks to Travie, which is what they badly need right now.

'30 Days' (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 1)
Seems like this is set to be the 4th single lifted from On Your Radar... directed by Taylor Cohen. He shot the video for Higher, too. Obviously there's no official confirmation so if the mods want to lock the thread that's cool. http://videostatic.com/ If this is true then I'm not sure about this - should be White Lies or Faster! They've most likely gone for this as the safe option because of the Travie appearance. Then again, I suppose the Travie feature will get them some more exposure though which is what they need most at the minute but I'm doubtful this will save the campaign.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion) (Part 2)
Jesus, out of the top 40 already? :( I can't see the girls or label bothering to save this album, go ahead with a new album or Greatest Hits now. I think early next year/mid 2012 they'll just call it a day and split. I can't see another major label snapping them up either after this. I want them to succeed so much and become bigger than they are, but it seems they never will truly 'make it'. Horrible thought to think there could be no more music from them, or be able to keep up with what they're up to and see them regularly. That's one thing I love about them along with the music - how personable and down to Earth they are. It's really pathetic how much this has upset me haha. :( I don't know what they do, I can't see anything saving them. They must be so gutted about how it's playing out. At the moment they're all excited and hyped about the arena tour and that's all the girls are thinking about but after that's finished and after Christmas, I think it'll really hit them how poorly this really has done. :( I can't see a 4th single salvaging anything now. They just don't connect with the wider public now... what went wrong since the Chasing Lights era? And I know the girls are the only main/current act on Fascination currently releasing material in the UK but I think there's only so many lives Polydor/Fascination can keep handing them - they'll be starting to sit up and realise something is seriously wrong now. There's not much further they can go now. :( Maybe the public just don't seem to see them having that 'spark' or presence about them for the public to sit up and take note of them. Maybe because the girls seemingly lost the whole 'colour' theme that had an impact? It kinda made them identifiable during Chasing Lights and to a lesser extent, Headlines too - and I think that's when they performed best in terms of sales and overall chart performance. I know they want to grow and progress in style or whatever, but perhaps they should have kept the colours - and made the All Fired Up cover the album cover instead, as they still looked 'mature' but it still had the colour theme there.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
18,044. :( First week sales for all their albums now: What happens now? (Just if anyones interested, Nickleback charted at #10 this week with 34k sold - sad to think that's what some of us were predicting before release week :().

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
This will probably sound absurd, but does anyone else think that maybe the album cover itself put casual buyers off, when sat on the shelf amongst the other releases? I like the album cover but to casual buyers the girls might have looked a bit 'cold' or dull? Their past album covers have been much brighter, less serious and 'poppy' looking - this cover is a bit of a drastic difference - a bit too fierce looking? I don't know, I know it probably sounds ridiculous but it crossed my mind earlier anyway. :P (I'm not saying that the album cover is the only factor responsible for this selling only 18k nor am I making excuses). I still think the All Fired Up cover should have been the album cover, keeping in with their traditional bright colours theme but still in the mature/grown up direction that they seemingly wanted this era.

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion)
How could they film and release a video in the next 2 wks when they're on tour and travelling up and down the country for pretty much the whole month, and then it's Christmas/New Year? Unless they released a video of the new single being performed on tour, perhaps... #23 is disastrous. :( Gutted for the girls. Not sure anything can salvage this, it'll plummet down the charts now and out the top 40 this week I guess. Totally clueless as to what they do at the start of the new year, after the tour. I think they've run out of lives and chances now.
