What is its complete chart run in the UK so far?

Sats iTunes Watch Part 2.
Pushed down to #12 as Gabz (that BGT contestant) is #10 now. I think this is gonna miss the top 10 unless they get a boost somehow and soon - let's not go OTT with the dramatics though. :P

Sats iTunes Watch Part 2.
One more spot. Come on girls! Just get a top 10 peak at least. Hopefully it might then benefit from being on the iTunes home page where they list the top 10 songs? EDIT: Still #11 coming up to 5.30.... so frustratingly close.

Up 3 in an hour. Now to hope it keeps going up at that rate...

Gentleman // Single 3
Ugh.. can we not have a whole week of these comments! <_< Tad over the top and silly. It's only been out 12 hours! People are so quick to write something off either way. It's pretty much making the same progress as 30 Days on iTunes. Grow up.

Sats iTunes Watch Part 2.
This is going to peak at #11 isn't it? :P That or #12 IMO if it keeps going up one/two spots at a time. All I want is top 10... even if it's #10 haha.

Where Will The Saturdays - Gentleman Peak?
#13. Would love top 5, or #6, but doubt it now.

Sats iTunes Watch Part 2.
#23... I wish it'd just leap up lol. It's gonna be a long and worrying day if it just keeps going up two or so spots all day.

Sats iTunes Watch Part 2.
I'm just hoping for a top 10 peak to give them their 13th top 10. Want a #6 (or top 5) but I guess we're looking at anywhere from #7-#15.

Sats iTunes Watch Part 2.
Does anyone know how this is doing on iTunes in Ireland now compared to previous singles? Trawling through old single threads would take a very long time.

Sats iTunes Watch Part 2.
#108 on Irish iTunes. Good or not so good? For virtually zero airplay in Ireland that's pretty good, right? Will of course slow down now though. I guess it'll chart top 20/30 in Ireland. EDIT: #56 in Ireland now (10.00am)

Gentleman // Single 3
Nope. They will chart in the singles chart. Sales from the EP are added to the single.

Gentleman // Single 3
I really thought it'd do well with the public/radio as sonically it's in a similar vein to Get Lucky and Blurred Lines IMO but the lyrics don't appeal to guys like the aforementioned songs do so that'll hinder it's success - a song really has to have universal mass appeal for both sexes to get near the top of the charts. Like you say, add limited airplay and poor, poor pre-orders and this is not looking too good. Disappointing! They'll claw it back with a stomper of a third single I hope. WAU proved they can come back from a messy single campaign/dodgy ground. I really hope it doesn't just nosedive after the first week. Hopefully people cotton onto it after the release? Clinging onto hope. :P

Gentleman // Single 3
Wonder how it'll do in Ireland... usually a sign of how they'll do in the UK. Anywhere in the top 6 (JCGE, WAU, AFU, Missing You) they're usually top 3 in the UK, anywhere top 20 (30 Days, Notorious) they usually end up in the lower end of top 10. Hmm, how did Heart Takes Over do on Irish iTunes? EDIT: Reached #31, #15 in the UK. I'm really thinking it'll be a top 20 peak in the UK.

Gentleman // Single 3
I'd like to think they'll stay together until Aoife reaches 5 and starts school where it could get more difficult for Una (similar to what the girls have said about wanting to stay together for five more years at least), so what, until 2017/2018 - marking 10 years together. Who knows though. I'd like them to reach 20 singles, though. Ending on a random number like 17 or 18 singles would irritate me for some weird reason. They have a 5 album deal don't they? This marks their fifth album, right? So perhaps once that's released they'll do a JLS and sit down with the label and work whether they want to carry on - especially if things haven't picked up commercially speaking for them - and renew their contract. I'd like to think they would... they seem to love what they do and I'd like to think they wouldn't give making music up just because they're not having huge success but again, the label also have a say. Who knows what the girls will think further down the line. If the end is 'soon' and I had to guess I'd say this is perhaps quite likely a timeframe if they decide to call it a day? Sept/October 2013 - Single #16 and new album March/April 2014 - Tour Sept/October 2014 - Greatest Hits album and Single #17 January 2015 - Final single (#18) Feb/March 2015 - Greatest Hits Tour and go their own ways Only they know, though! They should stay together until they can pass the baton down to Aoife, Alaia and co. :P

Gentleman // Single 3
Bit disappointed really. I mean, I don't want to sound ungrateful and it's great they've been B Listed and all but I can't help but think Gentleman is the single following a #1 single that was supported massively by them and it hasn't/potentially won't be A Listed? It's a bit baffling. I'd get it more if it was 30 Days that hadn't been A Listed following MHTO but I'm a bit surprised by this. I guess because the fact we're used to/come to expect Radio 1 A Listing every single that it makes it seem worse than it is haha, especially on top of poor pre-orders and not great airplay and interest. I really thought things were on the up airplay wise and radio would support them with this big time after What About Us. I don't get how they can go from being A Listed for 6 weeks to being snubbed from it just over two months later? Too drastic a sound change? My bad for thinking that What About Us would guarantee improved airplay for this single and perhaps future singles if radio continued heavily supporting them. Now they'll go back down to My Heart Takes Over/30 Days level again because there really is no major interest in the song and it's too divisive to do much. Hmm. I just hope it goes top 10 and they bring out the big gun for the third single to clean up after Gentleman's mess. I'm sure they'll come back from this though if Gentleman doesn't pay off in the end.

Where Will The Saturdays - Gentleman Peak?
At first I said somewhere between #7-#10 but now I'm beginning to think it might even miss top 10 altogether. If it goes top 10, I'd like it to go in at #6 so they've peaked in every top 10 position with a single. :P

The Promo Thread
Hmm, yes that promo is weak but at the same time they are doing all they can. As far as I can see, there really is nothing on UK TV right now (that they could perform/chat/promote on). There's nothing else they can get on. It's catch 22. No evening primetime shows, no evening chat shows (Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross etc) airing now. Looking at a TV guide, the only evening/big show, other than what they have, they possibly could have had tried booking would have been Graham Norton but even that show is finishing its series tomorrow night and that is fully booked with guests/a music guest which would have been sorted far in advance. We can say they should try for that show or this show but it's probably harder than we realise to organise it all, and at the same time they'll need to save promo spots for the next single/album. It's weak because there really are no evening shows at the end of the week that have a larger audience airing right now. They can't get on a show like that if there isn't one on TV right now. TV promo is generally limited right now for every artist. Their #1 has come at a pretty awkward time for them to have new doors opened for them in terms of TV promo as there really is nothing for any artist to get on right now other than the usual daytime TV/morning shows. And now their new found ability to push for bigger shows is going to be lost because they can't promote Gentleman as widely right now on TV and they'll be back to MHTO/30 Days ground again. :( I guess the basic promo (which is all they can do for this release given what's on, or rather the lack of, what's on TV) is more worrying given the fact that it really does seem like nobody knows this single is coming out on Sunday, and the fact it's so divisive. They could definitely do more radio interviews though to bulk it up a bit more, that's for sure. Moving on, I'm slightly worried that this may indeed miss the top 10. Only The Sats would go from a #1 to potentially missing top 10. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. They're kinda screwed either way - releasing this week is worrying for its chances, but pushing it back would have pushed the next single/album even further into Q4 territory. Where do people honestly think it'll chart? Airplay is so-so (hopefully Radio 1 will A List it today?!) but the EP is around #200 on iTunes (eek)... I'm thinking anywhere from #9-#15. I think it'll go the same way as Stooshe's 'Slip'.

WHAT'S THE SATS BEST B-SIDE?
1. Flashback 2. Crashing Down 3. I Can't Wait 4. Ladykiller 5. Not That Kinda Girl 6. Turn Myself In 7. Golden Rules 8. Ready To Rise 9. Beggin' 10. Somebody Else's Life 11. So Stupid 12. Wildfire 13. Had It With Today 14. Unofficial 15. What Am I Gonna Do? I'm not keen at all on Wildfire... I can't stand the 'in da club' lyrics and it sounds like some basic leftover Tulisa would do. Glad it's just a B-Side and not wasting a spot on the album.

Gentleman // Single 3
Signings are going to be very much needed. Hopefully they've got at least one 'big' TV slot but there aren't many big rating primetime shows on at the moment. Chat shows like Graham Norton would be a good coup I guess along with their usual. I'm sure they'll go in for some interviews at Capital and Radio 1 nearer the time like they did for WAU.
