I'll stop moaning too I think. I think we can all agree he does still do a wonderful job with his acting and producing. It's not music like we all hoped so maybe we should all just be greaful for the things we do get and support him in whatever he does even if it ends up not being music anymore. As long as he is happy and healthy.

Nice to see you back Baytree. Maybe he thinks we'll get our hopes up if he says the word album or maybe he is getting involved with music in another way but I can't think how. Could be becoming a music producer as well, now that would be exciting. I would love a tour too or even a gig of some kind. I was always gutted that I missed the small gig he did for people when funny girl was in the West end. I would love to hear a few new songs in some way. Can't wait to hear what film he's producing next either.

Happy New year to you too. I think the music project might be the new album as I'm sure he's mentioned it before but we have been waiting a long time so I won't hold my breath about that. I'm looking forward to seeing the next film he's produced. It would be nice if we had a little gig or something in 2019. Looking forward to whatever comes next. :dance:

I did like the party scene where they are all dancing and darius is just standing in the corner smoking a cigar. That did make me laugh.

Maybe seeing live was better I'm just going off watching it on sky arts.

My comments are purely based on the musical. I have seen the film but years ago.

OK this is my opinion on funny girl. Some people might not like some of the things I say so I apologise in advance. The good things about it are when fanny first meets Nick, the wedding scene and suduction scene and I love Darius' attempts at dancing and I also love at the end when they are taking their bows and they are given flowers and D offers his flowers to Sheridan. Just proves what a nice guy he is. The bad points are I didn't like that it was over half an hour before D came on stage and I didn't like the scene where it was meant to be fanny's opening night on stage(the one just before her and Nick have an argument because he missed it) I think it was meant to look like fanny was involving the audience she's playing to but sometimes I felt like it was Sheridan just being herself talking to the real audience. That bit looked a bit pantoish to me and took away from it being a musical :( all in all if I'm being completely honest in whether I would watch it again I'm not sure I would which I know I'll upset people by saying but it's just my opinion. Sorry but I don't feel it was his best maybe it would of been better live but I never got the chance sadly :(

Thinking about it I don't think taking a 13 year break from music was his plan it's just other things have kept happening and they are great things he's done. We will all just have to keep waiting for new music. Let's face it we're pretty good at it by now :)

Finally after 3 and a half years I'm going to get to watch funny girl. Roll on 8pm tonight. Can't wait. Everyone enjoy :dance:

Tomorrow when it's on it's programme listed under digital theatre(who produced the filming) but then it's on again on Christmas day at 7.25am and it says funny girl the musical. Doesn't make sense that it's only programme listed properly on Christmas day but not tomorrow :wacko:

For anyone who is planning to watch or record funny girl on Sunday. On programme listings it doesn't just say funny girl it actually says digital theatre but then if you press on information on your remote it says funny girl. Thought I'd let you all know in case people got confused as to why it didn't just say funny girl at 8pm :)
