Posted on January 27, Fix You had 430,000 sales. It was their third best-seller, behind Viva La Vida (612,000) and Paradise (640,000) according to the same list.

I was comparing JLS now to Elton John early on in his career when he had had a few big hits but still flopped now and again, missing the T10/T20 or even T40...

Yeah, I see your point. But JLS are fairly established now too - they had their first hit three years ago in July and have had number ones in all those years since: 2009, 2010 and 2011. I personally think they're at the top of their game as far as talent and boybands go, and I daresay their concerts are well attended (ticket sales must surely count for a lot when weighing up a band's relevance). I also rate them a hell of a lot higher than Wand Erection! They've missed the top 10 only once in their career AFAIK (with their last track) and their new one will be a surefire return to the top 10. I think they'll be ok for a while. But thanks for elaborating. Oh, and JLS can't get dropped cos Marvin's hot! :D

I guess what I'm saying is that you can't expect every release from a big or popular act to be a stormer. Even good old Madge has had a few duff singles in her time! And take elton john, he had plenty of tracks that bombed during his career - but I just don't think the odd duff release should signal the end for an act.

I don't understand all this bad towards JLS - they're brilliant! I hope they go top five. Marvin's hot!

I don't know how she's expected to compete with artists such as Gaga and Rihanna (total machines) when she releases two singles and then goes away for three years, then releases another two singles before going away again. Such a shame. And she's not exactly getting younger.
