  1. So....even the video couldn't help this single. The single dropped to #38 this week, and will very likely drop out of the top 40 next week, meaning only 6 weeks in the top 40. Disappointing, very disappointing.
  2. Well, I guess for a third single off an album, If U Seek Amy is around about correct.......however Hold It Against Me, as the first single, should be much higher, in the top 10 even.
  3. According to the YTD thread in Charts, HIAM has sold 103,700 copies in the UK. This weeks sales should see it surpass If U Seek Amy, and finally break into the top 20 biggest selling Britney songs.........underperformed like crazy though.
  4. If even half the album is as good as these teasers, then this could be her best album yet, and with proper promotion, could sell more than Blackout and Circus.
  5. Not unless she does some promotion for it... This could be her worst selling debut from a studio album here in the UK, Slave sold 175,000+, if Brit doesn't come over here until the second single/album, then I'm not sure HIAM will surpass that.
  6. Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know (Thunderpuss Radio Mix)
  7. Heads up for the UK fans... The Alias Radio and Club remixes are available to download from Amazon, with the remix EP due for release on the 28th.
  8. I want to say, i'm officially a fan of the 3-step high heeled shuffle.
  9. But yeah, after re-reading this thread, I think the main point is promotion. BOMT era, she done a performance for just about every single over here, plus weren't the release schedules different to the US, so she had time to come over here and promote. Oops was slightly lessened, and I think only centered towards the first couple of singles. 'Britney' even less so, I think she done an interview and performance for Frank Skinner, around Crossroads time, maybe some more chat shows. In The Zone, there was the CDUK performances and interviews when she was doing the Onyx tour Then that's it, apart from The X Factor, so it's no wonder that she doesn't do as well as she used to. People need to relate, and especially new fans want to get to know an artist. Fans who were there from the beginning were treated to interviews, performances and general Britney saturation, If I was a teenager again and discovering Britney, I'd find it very odd that I have the music, but barely an interview or performance to go with it. If Team Britney pull their fingers out and do proper promotion, in different territories, then I don't think we have anything to worry about.
  10. I'm wondering, and don't shout at me here, if HIAM was more of a 'buzz' single (I hate that word). I only say this because the album is due out in March, so about 6 weeks away, and surely a new single will be released to promote the album, so surely the buzz for HIAM is going to die down very soon. I get the feeling the single was released to let people know that Brit is still here, and that full on promotion will only start with the second single/album release, I mean, the video premieres tonight, and that is really the main point of promotion for the UK at the moment. I can't see her coming over to here or Europe to promote this song, when she'll be back in a matter of weeks to push the album. I maybe totally wrong in my view, and the vid might be coupled with performances and the song flies back up the charts, but somehow, I don't see that happening.
  11. Weirdly, this now seems to have been removed from iTunes, maybe someone put it on too early..... Brit is currently sitting at number 50 on the UK iTunes chart, but hopefully, with the video premiering and the remix EP released next week, the song should rise again.
  12. For anybody who didn't know (cos I didn't), there is 3 track Manon Dave remix EP available on UK iTunes.
  13. I wownder if it will get 100k before the video premiere, that would be a very good achievement, and would make it her 21st best selling UK single so far.
  14. I love this remix over the original, just epic!! QmSCMw5k6Z0
  15. Well, I was reading the other day about how UK singles are changing, as soon as a song hits radio, it will be available to download from iTunes etc. What do you guys think this will do for Britneys following singles, apart from Radar all of her other 26 singles have peaked in the Top 20, do you think these new rules will see an end to this?
  16. Poor old Don Phillip, whatever happened to him?
  17. Surely, you remember this floptastic song....... HWIiyRPCc78 Now we know where ke$ha nicked her eye make-up from.
  18. Hold It Against Me drops 10 places to 18 in the UK top 40.
  19. Another, IMO, forgotten pop gem. P890pYpCATI

  21. Have a great birthday Tyler!!
  22. I know a lot of people seem to think that Britney is failing in the UK, but looking at her stats, out of 27 singles she has ha 21 top 10 singles, with a further 5 in the top 20, and all her studio albums in the top 20, I think Britney is still very popular, and still has a lot to offer.

Don't worry, I'm with you. Say You'll Be There was my first Spice Girls cassingle.
  24. Tell me about it, 2002 seems so long ago. A time when someone could release 'Wheels on the bus' and put it to a Madonna song and call it a hit!!
