  1. It's been released on a few Christmas compilations here in the UK, but that's it. So I would imagine most people in the UK (I can't speak for other regions) wouldn't be aware of it, so I think, even now, that if given a proper digital release, and a video, it could do very well indeed. Rant number 2, on it's way shortly.....
  2. I'd like to have a little rant about 'My Only Wish' I feel that this should have been released as a christmas single, with a nice little video shot alongside it. In the UK charts, since downloads were counted, Mariah Careys 'All I Want For Xmas Is You' makes an appearance on the chart every December for a good 4-5 weeks, and I feel that Britneys Christmas song could have had a similar impact. If it was made available as a single on iTunes, with maybe a remix, or new xmas song, and a inexpensive xmas video was filmed and showed on the various music video stations every xmas, then I think it would quickly get a chart placing and would chart every december, especially if utilised for a commercial, like MCs offering. I guess what I'm saying is, if we can't have a Xmas album from Brit, then just promote the hell out of My Only Wish.
  3. Hello, I was listening to And Winter Came.... yesterday and just thought how Enya really missed an oppertunity with not giving White Is The Winter Night a proper release. I know it was released to radio for album promotional purposes, but it really should have had a single release. It's an original christmas song (a rarity these days), has a sing-song quality, and with a good video, I seriously think it could've sold rather well. Rant over......what do you think?

  5. I really hope that with this album, there'll be some more extensive promotion in the european sector. With some of her past albums (BOMT and ITZ come to mind) she has done some good, heavy promotion, which resulted in number 1 singles. With Circus, we only got an X Factor performance in the UK, and I think thats a reason why the album quickly fell out of the chart and the following singles didn't get top 10 positions.....yes we had a tour, but I think people want to see Britney on TV, singing her latest song maybe giving a small interview. Hopefully, instead of a tour, we'll get a more intimate promotional schedule.
  6. Wow, that's a huge jump in sales......surely not all from the Glee effect?
  7. Hi guys, Hope you don't mind me adding my two cents, i'm newish to Buzzjacks, but love the Aloud, so just had to do this.... Sound Of The Underground ~ 3 No Good Advice ~ 7 Life Got Cold ~ 0 Jump ~ 2 The Show ~ 6 Love Machine ~ 8 I'll Stand By You ~ 1 Wake Me Up ~ 8 Long Hot Summer ~ 10 Biology ~ 6 See The Day ~ -1 Whole Lotta History ~ 6 Something Kinda Ooooh ~ 10 I Think We're Alone Now ~ 1 Walk This Way (vs. Sugababes) ~ 3 Sexy! No No No... ~ 11 Call The Shots ~ 4 Can't Speak French ~ 5 The Promise ~ 7 The Loving Kind ~ 7 Untouchable ~ 9
  8. Well BTMYH was released around Jan/Feb time in the UK, and I believe single sales are notoriously low at that stage of the year (probably to do with Christmas), so it was a mixture of good timing, and the fact that she promoted the ass off this song in the UK with several appearances on TV shows.
  9. Good work Tyler, once again. I noticed on her register that there is a song called Abroad, is that new or old?
  10. Tyler, you may not have been told this lately, but you are a Legend!!!!
  11. If you were to have a bit of a guess, what do you think the list of Britneys singles would be worldwide, best to worst selling? I know that ...Baby one more time is her biggest in the UK, and I think I heard Womanizer is now her biggest in the US, but if you combined all the singles, how would a worldwide Britney chart look?
  12. Thank you very much for the replies. So does that mean the remaining sales are from singles, EPs etc?
  13. Just as a matter of interest, how do these sales divide between the albums? It says Baby sold 28m and Oops sold 20m, so how does the remaining 52m go between the remaining albums?
  14. Hi, Yes this programme was based on sales figures provided by The Official Charts Company. I have some of the sales figures jotted down but not all of them. You can view at the MTV website, unfortunately, I haven't had 20 posts, so this site won't let me post a link. Cheers
  15. Hi there, I noticed this wasn't up on the forum, so thought I'd post.... Westlife) 4) I'll Be There 5) Fantasy 6) Hero 7) When You Believe (With Whitney Houston) 8) One Sweet Day (With Boyz II Men) 9) We Belong Together 10) Endless Love (With Luther Vandross) 11) Always Be My Baby 12) Heartbreaker 13) I Know What You Want (With Busta Rhymes & Flipmode Squad) 14) Vision Of Love 15) Honey 16) My All 17) Dreamlover 18) Touch My Body 19) Open Arms 20) Anytime You Need a Friend
  16. Hello peeps, I was looking at the charts stats on this forum and it really got me wondering, what went wrong with the Britney album? Now I'm basing this purely on the UK chart stats but I'd be very interested to hear what others from around the world have to say on the subject. OK, so both the albums ...Baby One More Time and Oops I did it again were very popular in the UK, Baby selling over a million and Oops darn close to it, yet 'Britney' had a considerable drop in sales, only half a million. Also, the lead single, Slave 4 U didn't hit number 1 like previous lead singles, it also didn't sell as well, it didn't even sell as many as Stronger, the third single from the Oops album. If I make a list of my best to worst albums by Britney, 'Britney' always comes towards the bottom, yet I do enjoy the album. So what went wrong? Is it that the lead single was too big a departure from the previous singles, the slushy Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know, the power pop of Stronger, the cheese of Lucky? Did this weak start have a knockback effect on the rest of the album? I'd be really interested to hear some thoughts from you guys, maybe i'm being too hard on the album.
  17. Lucky is, pants down, my favourite Britney song. The video is cool too, I love looking at all the extras in the crowd scene, jostling for camera time.
  18. Hello peeps, Does anybody know the sales figures for Radar? I was just wondering if it is her worst selling single in the UK. I know it had the worst charting position, but before it reached its peak, it had been on digital sale for roughly 2 years. I'd hate to think of such a quality song being her worst, i'm much happier to think Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know is instead :) Thank you in advance.
  19. Well, I do understand what you mean, as I usually have a period where I don't listen to artists then listen to them non-stop, but Enya is one of a few artists that I could listen to everyday, I have a 5 disc CD player, so at least one of her albums is always in there, currently its The Celts, one of my fave albums ever. When i'm feeling particularly 'New-ageish' I will listen to Enya, Loreena McKennitt and The Mediaeval Baebes, all fab music to drift away too.
  20. Ooh this is so hard, but here goes..... 01. If U Seek Amy 02. Lucky 03. Oops!...I Did It Again 04. Womanizer 05. (You Drive Me) Crazy 06. Stronger 07. 3 08. 21. I think I was most shocked by Feel Good Time, having peaked at #3, it had such poor sales, and i love this song!! Also loved that Most and Stupid Girls were one after the other.
