  1. Suddenly, it seems like Youtube views are going really well. It's got more than 400k already, when Disco Love had barely passed 1.5 million the week before the release.
  2. They really need to get more views. It's crazy to think that just 10% of Frankie's and the group's followers on Twitter and Facebook have watched the video. Those more than a million people are interested in them enough to get regular updates on them, but they haven't bothered to watch their latest video yet! It's an annoying practice, but they really need to tweet about the video at all times. At least for the next seven days. I mean, Frankie retweeted the group's first link with the video and she hasn't tweeted anything since then!
  3. It's very unlikely, but I hope Rochelle plugs Not Giving Up somehow.
  4. In some ways I think it's crazy (and stupid) that they didn't follow What About Us with this. But on the other hand, Disco Love would've felt extremely underwhelming coming from those two anthems, and I don't think it would've sold the album that well. Although I guess we'll never know what would have happened. Edit: sorry for the double post.
  5. It's a special program of Vevo that promotes new artists. They record interviews with them and their videos get extra promotion. They were Vevo Lift artists around the time of Chasing The Saturdays.
  6. I think their problem is that they haven't been able to cross over successfuly to a more glamorous, mature image. They tried that with Wordshaker, they had to take a step back with Headlines, then they tried again with On Your Radar/All Fired Up etc. and failed again, then they went for a neutral image for What About Us, and now the problem is that they can't go back to appeal to a young audience anymore because those people have either grown up or are already taken by other girlbands. I feel this right now is the image they've wanted to have as artists for a long time...but their sales simply don't allow it. ---- The Brits will push them down for a while. We'll just have to wait and see.
  7. Still, it shows that the song is liked, that people who weren't interested before are willing to pay for the whole album as long as they get the song NOW. It makes me hopeful for the future, when they build some airplay and promote it on TV.
  8. The sales of the album are so extremely low there's a lot of room for potential sales from every kind of public. First, they should get the 40k people who bought On Your Radar to buy this, and then the 100k who bought Headlines! It can't be that hard if they were already interested in the group once.
  9. :w00t: And to think that this is just the effect of a day of teasers and a few hours with the video...things are looking very well.
  10. That's just awsome. Hopefully it will climb in the UK too. Seems like there's a real momentum for Not Giving Up.
  11. I can't believe how well they've planned this release. Reducing the price of the album is a brilliant idea.
  12. The image is too blurry to tell if it's a drawing or not. I would say it's an actual photo of them, as it's basically a full-body shot of this: http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/M...orumBanner4.png I don't know what to think. Maybe they are re-releasing the album in time for the tour instead of using a greatest hits compilation, or maybe that's the cover of the GH...or maybe it's just a rejected design, but I doubt that's the case.
  13. And so it begins...
  14. I love the artwork, I love that we are getting instrumentals, I love that we have confirmation on the b-side (I was still afraid they were going to put some accoustic instead) and above all, I love that we can order the CD single from outside UK!!
  15. Mines... 1. Leave a Light On 2. My Heart Takes Over 3. Issues 4. Wish I Didn't Know 5. You Don't Have The Right 5.5 Denial
  16. If Universal didn't push Higher or What About Us internationally, I don't think there's any hope they'll do it in the future. Both of them were such a wasted opportunity...
  17. The only way they would be willing to invest on keeping the 'Living for the Weekend' brand alive would be if Not Giving Up proved that they could still make money with it. But since the song will take a while to even be released, I think it's more probable that they are planning a GH to release along with the tour.
  18. They've got a new management, started doing photoshoots, they are presumably booked for an acoustic performance in March and they are still doing gigs like The Yard the other night...things are moving. It's just a matter of time.
  19. I'm so glad this is having some longevity, even if the total sales are not that special. But the fact there's still interest in them bodes well for a fifth single.
  20. I agree that Not Giving Up should become a hit for them, but in their case most predictions are often useless. All Fired Up sounded like it would join the league of Up, Ego and Higher, and it ended up very far from that. Personally, I'll be happy if this ends up selling 100k+ like Disco Love and it makes the album go back in the top200 for a few weeks.
  21. When will we know the BRIT nominations?
  22. Tonight's performance will be aired on RTE1. Hopefully someone will put it on Youtube!
  23. Happy New Year! :w00t: j7cp5mU_GZ8
  24. I prefer this option. MKS should be written in full because that's the actual name of the group, and it should come first because it's the entity that is active at the moment.
  25. It's normal that there aren't any news about a new single, as at this time of the year radios are too busy with Christmas and year-end lists to care about new releases. We should get some word after NYE.
