Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
The single has sold really good considering the shameful amount of airplay it's got. I hope All Fired Up will be luckier.

All Fired Up (2nd Single Thread)
Melanie C is releasing her new single on that day too. I bet she'll be a contender for the top10.

I think they performed it, but the TV didn't aired all the songs.

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
Down to #20 on iTunes now...I want them to stay inside the top 20 this week SO BAD! This promo has been fantastic for them. Specially compared with other songs that haven't benefited at all from it.

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
It would be incredible for them to get to the top10 in Ireland

The Saturdays Arena Tour
So that makes 3 dates for Ireland?

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
I hope the advert/promotion sticks around the iTunes Store for the rest of the week (I don't know how these things use to work). This is their last chance of calling more general attention.

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
If i remember correctly, Higher peaked at #9 or #11, right? The low side of the top10 in any case.

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
Any explanation for this? maybe commercial radios are giving this more plays this week? being 20-ish by Sunday would be great, a minimal drop from last week.

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
Well, I don't know what to think about that...does Radio 1 make a difference among the tracks of their own A-list? I mean, they've been A-Listed for a few weeks, which would explain an initial increase and then an stable position...but the airplay keeps increasing week by week, which suggests that other radio stations are picking this up as well. Or it could be just Radio 1 playing this more times, I don't know.

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
I'm impressed thinking they're going to have a better result this week than the last one...I thought the physical release would be the biggest push they could get.

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
Really great to see they've hang on at #20 on iTunes for the whole week.

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
That's great! although I guess tomorrow they'll be back at #19.

Notorious (1st Single Discussion Thread) (Part 2)
Then what's the point of doing air/on sale if radios are not changing their habits? In the rest of the world acts count on themselves to sell in the first weeks, and then they rely on the radios to play the song, so it can sell for the next months. Now it's the time for radios to pick up Notorious. It's been selling great without their support, people buy the song if they are given the chance to get to listen to it, so they have a reason to keep paying it some attention now. Radio airplay never starts on a peak, it grows very slowly, it's only that in the UK that growth used to take place in the period of promotion when the song wasn't available.

You know any british artist of the level of The Sats that have been incredibly succesful with OA/OS? because the bigger ones are not doing that, and the smallest ones are going without getting noticed, like Nicola Roberts. They've done good, they made top10 and the song is selling consistently. With a song like this I expected more, but by no means this is doing bad.

The people were screaming when they knew what song they would be singing, then they were singing along and screamed with the sexy moves and when Frankie sung her bit...what else do you want?
