It was a bit ahead of its time. There was a huge backlash for it not having a proper chorus, which now seems like something normal after the success of Dark Horse. I think only their pre-Headlines material sounds dated nowadays, though.

Are we monitoring their Spotify plays anywhere? I think it would be interesting in the long term.

Just like some songs are demonized because they flopped, I think a lot of people idolize Ugly Heart because it was a big hit for a new girlband. It feels wrong not to vote for The Sats, but apart from WAU I think Wings was a very good choice. It's euphoric and it can be enjoyed by adults and teens.

Yeah, I agree with this. Their fate was sealed when they lost the favor of Radio 1, no matter what song they had released. If anything, my biggest surprise was the null effect on the album's sales. I'm not saying I expected big numbers, but you wonder what other reason did the people who bought On Your Radar need to buy the next album. It's a shame about the sales and chart positions, but I'm still so glad they actually released a fifth single and that it was this song. The video and artwork were on point, they bothered with a single mix that is pretty different to the original, and we got one of their best b-sides along with it.

I love What Are You Waiting For so much, and I think it fits so well as their 'final' single. It encapsulates all the Saturdays essence in one of their most modern productions. It's the perfect crossover of Higher and All Fired Up.

I remember Mollie explicitly saying they were not going to record any show. The arena may have recorded some footage for their own use, but there's a difference with recording the whole show from multiple angles with a domestic release in mind.

Exactly, I think she's at a stage of her career when she is going to make the music she wants. I don't think she is going to care that much of how commercial she is going to sound, because her market will be minimal anyway. Big radios in the UK are not going to play a song from a former member of a girlband past its prime, nevertheless from the only member who is not from the UK. And The Saturdays were never that big in Ireland anyway, so it may be unrealistic to think that she can sell better than the group. I think the career of Sharon Corr could be a good example of what we should expect from her. It's not a crazy idea. She's a prominent Irish celebrity, with an extremely good relation with RTE. She would have the promotion sorted: single in Q4 2015, album in Q1 2016, promote in Una's Dream Ticket 3 and The Voice of Ireland 5, and then do Eurovision in May 2016.

This will be great for her profile. I can't believe she's actually becoming a sort of decent Irish celebrity. I'm guessing she'll be back on the show next year.

This is an interesting topic! I remember I started reading about The Sats at the time they were releasing Just Can't Get Enough. I remember I liked their singles, although I still wasn't crazy about them. I can't recall which single I preferred, although I didn't care much about Issues. I actually fell in love with them when they released Wordshaker. I loved the album as a whole, I learned the names of the five girls and only then I listened to the rest of Chasing Lights.

Was Notorious played somewhere?

I find surprising that Una was the only one who did not assist to that tea party. And that ironically the other girls gave batches of Una's Dream Ticket to the girls. Imagine how much it must have hurt Rochelle's ego (or the fictional version of Rochelle we have created with our comments, anyway).

I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but considering Una is some kind of RTE darling nowadays, she is an obvious choice for the public TV to send to Eurovision in a year or two. It would be a nice platform for some solo material, and it would be worth it just for continuing boosting her celebrity profile in Ireland.

It seems like RTE have been interested in Una for a long time. She said they've been asking her to join The Voice for the last couple of years, and this is the second year of Una's Dream Ticket. I guess that being in a 'current' band makes her to have an edge over other Irish celebrities.

Yeah, that's what made it all bittersweet. It's a shame because she's really done incredible on the show. She's had iconic performances and she's never been in the bottom two!

It's OK, it's been a great "journey", we have enjoyed it a lot, and I'm sure her profile will have been raised because of this.
