I wanted to write this because i just remembered it's been 11 years since i have been following Will now. For me it all started when people where harping on about this new Pop Idol show, i hadn't followed the initial stages and one day remember flicking over and them running over the numbers, i knew who Gareth was as everyone was going on about him and i knew he was the person tipped to win, we all knew who Darius was too - i remember watching those clips back never seeing Will before and going you know who deserves to win that 3rd person, the person not getting as much attention as the others - the others with the hype aren't as good as this person. Next week i watched the final as everyone was going on about it, i decided my opinion by the end of the night that Will was far better than Gareth who was going to win. I didn't care too much but i thought it'd be fun to judge this and make my own opinion. Cue Shock twist Will winning and ever since then i've followed him since. I wasn't even a CD buyer before Will, i had bought some S Club 7 CD's before but a week later i remember convincing myself i just had to get this single and then Light My Fire came out and that was amazing. Even at school i would be humming these songs in my head and suddenly i had this whole new fun thing that was exciting and i remember going to myself, because sadly as a realist i really thought Will would end up flopping sadly and i thought i'd get maybe two albums out of this if we where lucky, and sadly i would have defintely told him to do covers and that sort of music like Simon too. But i'm so glad he didn't the amazing music that has followed since has been wonderful. I still remember buying every album, full of excitement and amazed when all i heard was amazing stuff. I wouldn't have probably liked the Echoes Will if he launched now, but back then all i knew was he had a great voice, and there was something sophisticated and substance in following Will. I almost went off him at Keep On, he was full of himself i thought at that point and Will's said recently that he defintely was becoming a bit cocky by that stage. By far my fave song remains Leave Right Now followed by Your Game and Light My Fire although i like all the albums and singles. That Pop Idol final twist still remains one of the biggest surprises in a tv show - i'm sure no one thought Will was winning! What a great tv moment. I've bought music off Gareth, Darius and the others too so i defintely wasn't all about who's better than who...but Will's been amazing since then. I must mention Devoted and the wonderful kind fans that use to be on it as it made being a Will Young fan even funner than it should have been. Baby Devoted is no where huge as then and i know as time goes on Will's popularity has as expected faded slightly but still remains, but that site was special back then whenever something big happened. Thank you Sony BMG for doing such a good job for Will's career, it's really understated. I laughed so much when Will says in his book that they showed him some new songs from Flo Rida and wanted him to do stuff like that - ha ha! All the tours are amazing i was so angry that Keep On the tour wasn't coming out on DVD, or losing Record Of The Year to Gareth, or only being No.2 with You And I and Cowell's blatant attempts at sabotage! So, Mr Will Young :yahoo: the best solo artist in this country :w00t: and here's to a very much awaited seventh album on Universal Records! :wub:

Now Island records have all 3 of the biggest male solo artists in this country Robbie Will and James. I'm shocked he's left Sony but i just knew he'd move to Universal one day. I think Sony deserve a round of applause, even though Will will downplay it as much as possible they've been insanely brilliant to him for 10 years. I wonder if Sony wanted to get rid of him which i doubt considering the last album just sold 500k, or if Will wanted to leave himself for a fresh start.

I agree with Sunday, three years away from the music industry is lethal these days. His sales will almost definitely decrease to 200k-300k. I bought it. Utterly brilliant. I know she didn't type it or whatever but she recollects stories very well and in detail. It's immaculate!!

I bought both Cheryl's and Will's books last week and sadly Cheryl's is better. She may not have typed it all her self or whatever but she goes into extensive details about everything. Will summaries alot. He has a huge type face too the font size is huge...i'd rather it was chronological than so random he swings from his schools days to now and stuff. I like the hand drawn pictures who ever did those but i was expecting abit more.... Wasn't nice what he said about Darius. I always been a firm believer in things that at the time Will was being chummy with Darius etc but then now he says he hated his company. I don't that. There's so many artists who when they release their current album go this is me i love this album i am so happy with it. Then the next year...they go that wasn't me, my new album is me - i didn't like that... It was nice he was so reserved about Gareth because i cannot think what he has to say will be positive he must have been super annoyed but spared Gareth as he still sees him every now and then.

Congrats GA 21st century most popular girl band. SO PROUD. Love the new record. Amazing as per usual. Go Nadine. Cannot wait for this. A studio album would be class. Cannot wait for press conference!!

Why is the book very expensive Nothing less than £10 average....in most shops. Cheryl's abit less. Will's very low in the book charts from what i can see. I bought the book regardless... Seems really immaculate.Would have preferred more information about his thoughts on the Gareth situation. Wow at the Universal records label move! ISland!! shocker..

Well i got his book, great read btw but would have preferred more insider gossip about PI like his thoughts on the Gareth bias. Shocked he wants to move from Sony!! :w00t: He constantly talks about sales being bad how is 400k-500k bad!?? in this market.. Will be interesting about Universal... Why the hell did Sony want to drop him after Let It Go, it sold 400k!! ridiculous. Is this a mutual decision or Sony's orWills!?? I knew he'd switch to Universal records one day...this will be interesting.

I hate how lots of reality artists promise a new album that never arrives... :rolleyes: and Darius has been promising for ages. It's not hard these days especially, if you cannot get a deal you go Independent. :puke2: So, why not? :unsure: He put up 3 songs up on a page, all of them very good very impressed. The big band thing sells just like Joe McElderry would tell you. Why not go with Decca records...they prefer artists like him doing this type of music..

i like them all insanely but in order... 1. Fridays Child - almost flawless. So mature and sophisticated sounding. Not a bad track in sight. A vocal showcase for Will, great production. Clearly the prime of his career. A masterpiece and outstanding piece of work. 9.8/10 2. From Now On - i must be the only one who likes this that much. It was so special listening to this, i found it calming and nice. Very impressed. Some amazing albiet downbeat songs here - You and I and Lovestruck are standouts 9.5/10 3. Let It Go - When i heard this i was amazed at how much each song was perfect. Very good songwriting here.. I like everything but 'Love'. 8.6/10 4. Echoes - an amazing record. Will just reinvented his career better than anyone could ever have imagined. It's a masterpiece thats no doubt to say. It's not more above because i attach special memories to the other three albums. 8.4/10 5. Keep On - Now i admit this is a stellar album, so original and different to anything else there. It came at a time where i'd lost a little interest in Will and thought he was getting a little cocky. I didn't like Switch It On as a single for starters nor the video. Too cocky/a page out of Robbie's book for me. But then you have all Time Love, aint' such bad place, madness and think about it.. 8.2/10

Great artwork can't believe we finally got 4 singles from an album I like it now i hated this song before. I like the video too - too much trolley dancing and less scenes in the supermarket but good stuff.

Cheryl had a mega signing today at Newcastle right...even if all those people did not get to go the signing i persume some ended up buying the album anyway... itunes will push her over 10k for day one. i think mids tommorrow will show her at 18k-22k at number 2 with bieber at 24-28k. He's beating her on all online sites right now. BLAME TEENAGE GIRLS they are insane, they have made 1D insanely huge and let The wanted and JLS get away with releasing substandard music still going to number 1. It's the teenage girls that have done this again. 9k for her for day one ain't great. By a general estimate you always do MAXIMUM four times the tuesday figure... so last week she sold 40k day one, so 4x40 = 160k, so she did 152k She won't be able to push more than 40k this week...with 9k day one. Oh why didn't she just release later in the year like September and the aloud and Cheryl record could have sold together. I know the reunion but this is awful sales for her... Bieber....go away! this is not the states - this is just another market to him, to cheryl and fans this is home. I hope he doesn't get it. the album market is so awful right now, probably better to sell a few weeks later. I don't think the 11.99 deluxe thing is helping her, people see that and go i'll buy it when it's reduced. they where probably banking on mega fans buying it three times but it was poor choice i've thought it since also it makes her album seem less good with more filler added in. her standard album is much better. People dont look arounf for the 8.99 version or presume there isn't one and voila she's lost a sale. She'd be lucky to do 50k in the week she'll do 40 summit i think. Not great for cheryl... I want another number 1 album!

Sorry if this didnt deserve a new topic, but WOW!!!! Cheryl has finally spoken about the Nadine rift. I am glad she's finally done this. I would've have preferred her saying it all three years ago but maybe their egoes where flying! She's not gonna discuss those text messages, smart Cheryl. They are gonna keep that private. I disagree Nadine was painted as the villan not Cheryl and it had a negative impact on her career.I'm glad they've worked things out, and as i said when Cheryl started this campaign i much prefer this Cheryl. Nadine's bar has been open for three years now, not one of the girls have gone to it despite being in LA several times since. This is a mutual fault of their own. Kimberley's not as nice person as i thought, Nadine tweeted her and she tweeted back every celeb possible and RTed them but didn't even reply to Nadine's tweet. Cheryl tweeted how she's so proud of her girls. Then she talked about Nicola and Kimberley and thats it. No mention of Nadine despite her being on twitter. No mention of Sarah either. Damn Cheryl, maybe you three should just start your own Sugababes. It's shameful on all their part, i admit Nadine's never come out to support any of them in their solo projects in however many years but they haven't for Nadine either. Nadine claims that she sent messages to Cheryl and got no reply. Nadine also claimed that when she got engaged not one of them apart from Nicola rang her up to say congrats. I hate to admit it but these aren't the five down to earth girls that started out in 2002. Egoes have formed and i wouldn't expect this behaviour from them. Everything from Nadine being in London to not being at Promise This at X Factor speaks of a feud. I just hate how Cheryl gets away interview after interview never having to clear up the rumours or anything. This has damaged Nadine's reputation in the UK and if Cheryl had just defended them at the start or one of them to take the high road and ring each other they would have all patched up buy now. Cheryl's tweeted her X Factor contestants much the same, they claim to never hear from her despite sending her messages. She has her face's and sticks to them and Cher highlighted that Cheryl was only nice was cameras where there. Naidne's ego got the best of her and she started saying they where all on holidays and she was recording...which is not true, she called herself the lead singer etc etc - i hate what they've become and they may reconcile for this reunion but if they've become this way after three-four years i dread to think after the next break. I'm not best impressed with the girls. I would tell them to their faces if i knew them.

It's amazing that for the first time in a few albums Will is releasing 4 singles he hasn't ever done that i think in his debut,i think the first three was just amazing. I just have complete and utter praise for Hearts on Fire reminds me of 'On A Night Like This' by Kylie,it's quite epic and would get quite abit attention. Happy Now has such a cheerful chorus and dramatic opening i think it's also catchy. Silent Valentine is a dark and impactful love song that would get attention from anyone. Lie Next To Me has really warmed to me, it's like a perfect pop song like Who Am I and that did well for Will. I Just Want a Lover just seems a 4 minute chant with the same beat playing in the background. It just doesn't stand out. In fact i make a prediction it will flop and go unnoticed. The sad thing will be this will mean the record company would do a 4th single again, and in such an amazing album. Runaway isn't very high on my pecking order either, but it's much better than this. Will came out with a stellar album, and much like Rebecca Ferguson the A&R are awful at choosing singles. Will's first three have been good and i know it's not Will's fault as he said he'd leave it to the record label to choose singles. The only way it can be redeemed is by a utterly fantastic music video, but it just doesn't have enough punch to get noticed. A shame really i thought this was a oerfect campaign from Will, and i was buzzing when i heard he was doing a 4th single. The point is he's been stuck at the 440k-480k album sales mark for months now. He needs to pass 500k, well it'd be nice. You need a in your face single and the 4 songs i mentioned are perfect. My instict right now says go with Lie Next To Me...but this is just! :(

Sorry guys but i could see the songs i just mentioned being big hits and a good mark in his discography also helping him achieve the 500k mark. AWFUL choice. I cannot say any more. Worst single he's ever going to release. Disappointed in that choice, i wouldnt even want it as a B Side Why release THAT when you can release the sophisticated dance anthem Hearts On Fire, or the cheerful Happy Now or even the heart warming Silent Valentine. Hate it!

Sorry awful choice, hate it. Nothing to do with its sentiment but i just think there's nothing there and its totally boring. They may as well not waste their money it'll 100% flop Silent valentine, Happy Now or Hearts on Fire would have gone down as one of his best songs ever. How ridiculous! I am totally against this, he has released 3 perfect singles before it though. Even when i first heard it i wanted it OFF that album, it ruins a otherwise perfect album.

When i heard Will was writing i thought it was a piece of fiction. But this is even better. Finally Will can be honest and frank about his treatment by Cowell and everything else. Cannot wait to buy this :)

Nadine's single has sold over 20,000 copies.. She sold 11k first week. 5k the following week and then 2k the week after, and 1k the final week in the chart. 100% It's sold 20,000 i'd imagine a year a bit later it's probably 22,000 realistically. Nicola's single has 100% sold 50,000 copies she confirmed this in a interview with Digital Spy Nicola's Lucky Day has sold 7k first week. I think lets assume she's done 8k. Nicola's Yo-yo didn't do too well, total sales are probably about 3,000 mainly thanks to the Universal CD by fans. I read some that Nicola sold 8k albums week 1, and that her total sold so far was 13k Nadine's album has done 10,000. She sold 5k first week and then 2k, 1k etc and must have added at least the 1000 since. Please could update these!!!!! :w00t:
