Hmmm. As much as I like 'The Saturdays' and am looking forward to new stuff, this is becoming a bit of a joke. I wonder how long it will be viable for their record company to keep making albums, then sweeping them under the carpet like they never happened, before moving on quickly to something else and hoping nobody noticed they flopped. They may be going for a re-issue of 'On Your Radar' - but still pretty bad when they have not released one single from the album following it's release before dropping it. Everything just seems so badly managed since 'Chasing Lights' with no clear identity or sound and scatter-gun release strategies hoping that something sticks with the public.
  2. LOVE the set-list, although I would have liked a song or two from KM 94 instead of 'Got to be Certain' - especially 'Automatic Love' or 'Where is the Feeling' (album version would work really well live). I know I'm in the minority but I really can't stand 'Paper Dolls' - to me it just sounds like the theme from an low-rent daytime soap or sitcom. Awful. 'Ocean Blue' is infinitely better as far as 'Light Years' B-sides go.

It's all about the amazing Jenna

April 1st can't come soon enough for me!!!
  5. I don't really *get* 'Blue Jeans', its just sort passes me by when I play it. Def better than 'Carmen' though, which I think is one of the weakest and would have been an absurd single choice. 'National Anthem' would undoubtedly have been the best single - everyone seems to like it. I think 'Off to the Races' or 'Radio' could have worked for radio too and found her a wider audience of those people who thought the first two singles (or now three with Blue Jeans) were a bit one-note. People who like the Video Games/Blue Jeans/Born to Die sound will probably have the album already.

I didn't realise quite how skewed I was to hear earlier stuff until I did that. I'm not even sure my top 20 would be *that* troubled by anything post-Ray of Light. Paradise (Not for Me) maybe and a couple of Confessions tracks *could* sneak in there.

What are your top 10 Madonna songs? For me, off the top of my head: 01. The Power of Good-bye 02. Live to Tell 03. Burning Up 04. Open Your Heart 05. Stay 06. Borderline 07. Vogue 08. Frozen 09. True Blue (mainly for the middle eight) 10. Rescue Me Honorable mentions: Oh Father, I'll Remember, Who's That Girl, Erotica

I'm largely indifferent to her but LOVE Xenomania to excited to hear. They haven't exactly been setting the charts alight lately though so not sure how this will fare commercially unless they go for a new sound.
  9. The song is OK, but not good enough for an artist of Madonna's status - especially to be released as a second single. I know its fashionable these days to say "put it away love" etc etc when it comes to Madonna, but the lyrics and theme of the song *are* cringe worthy for a woman in her mid-thirties let alone fifties. At this stage its only the William Orbit tracks that are keeping me interested in the album. She needs to stop trying to jump onto the tail-end of current, and often tired, trends (the already dated Guetta sound, GMAYL being essentially a rehash of Hello etc, Nicki Minaj etc) as she has been doing with this album and Hard Candy and go back to doing her own thing regardless of what other people are doing. That's when she is at her musical best, and often at her commercial best; Ray of Light, Confessions, Like a Prayer etc. She's never going to be the 'hot' artist that teens etc are listening to and she should stop trying so desperately to be. She's Madonna and she's already proved herself but the more she churns out this cheap generic *** the more she devalues her own musical legacy and turns herself into a joke.
  10. Would love a link thanks, been looking everywhere!!
  11. Def the right bottom 3 IMO - my least favs on the album and the only songs I skip and are not in my Marina playlist!! I like Guilty but also all the remaining songs so its win-win :) Obsessions or Robot FTW tho...
  12. Oh, and Justify My Love by Madonna (when she has her head between the woman's legs at the end) and even Like a Prayer with the church bits
  13. Do people really like this? It's kind of embarrassing. Looks a bit desperate and it HUGELY derivative of Green Light by Beyonce and Human Nature & Express Yourself by Madonna. You can place the vast majority of all the outfits and set ups into one of those videos. Its not even shocking or controversial, just a huge Meh as the world had seen it ALL before - 21 years ago for some aspects. THEN, if that's not enough she tries to flog her cheapo perfumes at the end too :???: Britney did it, yes, but it in the video intro and a it was a bit less intrusive She needed to pull it out of the bag to turn this song around and this is an EPIC fail. I think it will actually do more harm than good.

I guess so. I love Lift Me Up from the Haiti Relief concert so I'm sure there are lots of options to hopefully turn it around with a wise single choice for no 2 like they did with Beautiful.
  15. I vote for CGYOOMH It's easy to dismiss it as its become so overplayed and imitated since its release, but it really is a genius piece of classic pop that will be played for years
  16. As much as I love Dannii, there really is no contest when it comes to their singles back-catalogue. Kylie wins hands-down.

Oh no @ the previews. I kind of want to root for her with her being the underdog and flopping at the moment but this video looks like its shaping up to be an embarrassment of EPIC proportions. It reeks of headline-grabbing desperation. Plus, being in a church and the bit with her t***s hanging out with the mouth gag means it will struggle to be aired on music channels- especially in conservative America. It is not what she needs with the song plummeting down ITunes and stalling at US radio.
  18. Best song on the album IMO I LOVE the *heart beats ticking, when you're not around.... etc* fade-out :-) I hope it doesn't bomb, which I suspect it may
  19. Best song on the album hands down, but I hate the video - aside from the UV bit :-( They look uncomfortable, especially the four non-singers just look embarrassed to be there
  20. Def her best vid and single so far, especially after the abomination of Broken Heels. Hopefully she'll release The Silence next I just always find her as a person so hard to like though post-X Factor. She seems so annoying in interviews.
  21. First post here, but I have to say that this is my most listened to album of the year so far I think (?) I just wish they had got rid of Rootless and included Seventeen as they're doing with the American version as IMO its better than Rootless, Girls and The Outsider (and The Family Jewels if you're counting it) 09 Are Your Satisfied? 08 Shampain 10 I Am Not A Robot 06 Girls 09 Mowgli's Road 11 Obsessions 08 Hollywood (although prefer the single edit as i don't think the extra bit before the first chorus flows as well) 06 The Outsider 10 Hermit The Frog 09 Oh No! 05 Rootless 09 Numb 09 Guilty
