  1. I LOVE this song! It's taken off over here. Love the Country and Hip-Hop vibes combined. March Madness, the annual three week, 64 team college basketball competition just finished last night, with Virginia beating Texas Tech in the Final. Texas Tech were 200-1 to reach the final before the season, and were the Cinderella story of the tournament (think of it as Plymouth Argyle or Exeter City reaching the FA Cup Final). They are from Lubbock, a small-ish university city in west Texas with about 350 miles from the next nearest city. It's Cowboy country out there. Anyway, they adopted this song as their anthem a few weeks ago, and they have been going crazy celebrating each unlikely win by blasting this in the changing room. 8NIxVxkCOq0
  2. This could be amazing! Calvin Harris 2009 - 2015 is one of my favourite artists ever. I really wasn't into his latest stuff. Hope he goes back to his roots. And Dua has been excellent with everything she's done so far, so..... high hopes!
  3. This is brilliant! I love it. It's going to be massive!

Haven't listened to every song yet, but I am LOVING Galway Girl. Some of my friends (who wouldn't be pop fans to be honest) aren't fans, as it's not a "pure" traditional song. But I love it. Perfect combination of pop/RnB and Irish trad that reminds me of home. I played the fiddle for 10 years growing up in the Gaeltacht, but am definitely more of a pop music fan. This song is exactly the sort of thing I would have loved to have played along with!

Can't reveal sources, but I can confirm that Galway Girl is not a cover of that Galway Girl. It's an Ed Sheeran original, performed with Beoga, an Irish band. Haven't heard it myself, but my Dad has, and says it is an original, and thinks it will be huge. One of the lyrics is "She played the fiddle, and came from Ireland, and fell in love with an English man". They are definitely not in the original!
  6. I kind of hate the trend of minimalist dance music these days. My favourites were Swedish House Mafia, Alesso, Ingrosso, David Guetta (2006-2013), Calvin Harris. Two of my absolute favouties were Mammoth by Dimitri Vegas, MOGUAI & Like Mike, and We Like To Party by Showtek, both from 2013. It seems as if 2014 came along, and the drops all changed. And Kygo came along in 2015, and the past two years have mostly been Tropical House (which is fine, in small doses), and disappointing drops. I really hope the music that was in style 2006-2013 comes back into fashion.

Good for Kesha for coming back. And she does have a beautiful voice. BUT..... I'm not really into her doing ballads. The biggest reason why she was successful before was because of her upbeat songs with catchy hooks. It was music to party to. This is different, and just isn't my cup of tea.
  9. Crazy to think he only turned 20 last week!
  10. This is so good. My favourite of his set at Ultra this year. Will be one of the dance songs of the year.
  11. Also, just as an interesting piece of info - about the same amount of time had passed between their comeback and now, as between their first split and their comeback. Time is flying!
  12. Much better snippet here on Take That's Instagram, compared to Sigma's Instagram. Gotta say, I think I'm going to love it from the sound of this. Orchestra backing, gospel singers, drum and bass and Take That? YES!
  13. Those first three chords sound exactly like Michael Calfan's Breaking The Doors. But then it grows into its own song from there.
  14. Justin Bieber retired from music in December 2013. Jay-Z retired from music in 2003. 50 Cent retired in September 2007. Musicians aren't exactly ones to keep their word. Although Avicii could still keep making music - he just doesn't have to do the whole touring/publicity thing. There are tons of pop stars out there who would love to work with him. I'm sure we'll hear from him again.
  15. Is it just me, or does anyone else hate that style of drop? The first minute of the song is amazing, and it's building to what should be a great drop, and then it goes into that weird drop that just doesn't fit with the song. I remember the first time I heard it on the radio about three weeks ago, I was like "don't be a shit drop, don't be a shit drop, don't be shit drop......... DAMMIT!"

What a song! Best song of the year for me. That chorus is phenomenal. The power and control in her voice! If it's not everyone's cup of tea, that's fine. If the song is boring or formulaic, I can understand that (although I disagree). But there are people who are saying they don't like her voice and that she doesn't have a great voice. How are you a member of a music forum if you can't appreciate a voice like that?!
  17. Great song. Definitely on the soundtrack to my summer!
  18. Just heard a rip of the song from his EDC set this weekend. Absolutely love it!
  19. I like it. But this is basically a remix of Greyhound by Swedish House Mafia, which came out three years ago. PDboaDrHGbA
  20. This is so great. I've listened to it four times now. Had no idea she was releasing a new song until today. It's maybe my favourite release of the year. Great, great pop song.
  21. Been listening to this since early 2013. Most played song in my iTunes. Took them long enough. Hope it becomes huge!
  22. Hardwell's remix of this is unreal! He premiered it at Ultra a few weeks ago.
  23. Gold Skies is here. It's on Rolling Stone's website, but isn't available on SoundCloud or YouTube yet. Hear Martin Garrix, DVBBS and Sander van Doorn's Anthem 'Gold Skies' UwsY_foobEw
  24. zqttTOyi7Uo Love this track that was premiered at Ultra Music Festival in Miami a couple of weeks ago. I think it will be huge this summer.
  25. I love this. Must have played it about 30 times yesterday. I know objectively it's not as good as Rather Be, but it appeals to me more. Has a really fun, summer sound.
