Timbaland) (5, 11, 8, 12, 16, 10, 3, 3, 2, 1, 4, 6, 11, 12, 14, 14, 25, 32, 32, 30, 34, 37, 32, 38) {24 wks} All Good Things (Come To An End) (37, 29, 17, 11, 4, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 5, 4, 8, 8, 7, 7, 7, 8, 17, 18, 16, 19, 25, 31, 33, 33, 35, 37) {31 wks} Say It Right (38, 34, 28, 15, 4, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 3, 7, 8, 7, 9, 7, 6, 7, 11, 11, 13, 16, 22, 29, 33, 36, 37, 39) {33 wks} In Gods Hands (35, 25, 19, 8, 7, 6, 3, 4, 9, 13, 28, 23, 31, 37, 40) {15 wks} Do It (26, 25, 18, 15, 16, 23, 27, 35) {8 wks} [still on chart] Live Performance: 4m1qwRJrjxs And so the undisputed Queen of my personal chart reigns once again. Last year she was the highest female in the top 100, coming in at number 3 with Promiscuous, and this year she retains that title with this amazing track that spent 9 weeks in total at number 1!! Overall, Nelly has spent 17 weeks at number 1 on my chart and has had all 6 of her tracks enter the top 15! A completely worthwhile number 1 in my opinion and one of my favourite songs of all time. :D

Jay Z) (39, 33, 26, 17, 15, 8, 7, 3, 2, 2, 3, 1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 6, 6, 8, 17, 21, 23, 25, 34, 35, 37, 37) {28 wks} Shut Up And Drive (38, 39, 37, 32, 30, 26, 22, 9, 11, 11, 6, 5, 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 4, 6, 10, 9, 9, 15, 22, 33, 40) {26 wks} Hate That I Love You (feat. Ne Yo) (36, 29, 24, 11, 10, 11, 10, 11, 13, 12) {10 wks} [still on chart] Don’t Stop The Music (28, 16) {2 wks} [still on chart] Live at Radio 1's Big Weekend: n1UFkjjwoSM This song gave Rihanna her first (and so far only) number 1 on my chart. It only spent 2 weeks there which is minimal compared to the 10 weeks it spent at number on the official chart. I'm still not bored of this song, which to me is what makes it such an amazing song. Hopefully with Don't Stop The Music rising quickly up the chart, Rihanna can continue this success in 2008!

3: The Sweet Escape - Gwen Stefani feat. Akon http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSSTEF.JPG Chart History: Gwen Stefani Sweet Escape (feat. Akon) (31, 21, 6, 2, 3, 3, 2, 2, 3, 2, 7, 7, 10, 9, 9, 12, 14, 19, 19, 23, 23, 20, 22, 27, 31, 39) {25 wks} Now That U Got It (27, 27, 21, 29, 37) {5 wks} Live at Kid's Choice Awards: DrcHRnnscBA Similarly to Fergie, Gwen Stefani is one of these artists who's songs normally p*** me off. The yodeling one was utter c**p and that Hollaback Girl - well don't get me started. Occasionally though, she has some gems like Cool, What You Waiting For and this one. The Sweet Escape video was one of those that I watched again and again without getting bored. Sadly though, the only other song of hers to chart has been Now That U Got It which failed to make the top 20. Oh well maybe she'll do better in 2008. ^_^

Wyclef Jean) (4, 4, 3, 3, 5, 17, 16, 14, 18, 11, 15, 18, 20, 24, 22, 25, 27, 25, 26, 29, 25, 24, 27, 31, 30, 32, 35) {27 wks} Illegal (feat. Carlos Santana) (38, 23, 19, 16, 14, 10, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 23, 27, 34, 38) {15 wks} Beautiful Liar (with Beyonce) (35, 23, 11, 4, 4, 5, 3, 1, 2, 1, 1 3, 5, 6, 8, 8, 13, 12, 15, 15, 19, 32, 34, 40) {24 wks} Live on Beyonce's Tour (Beyonce only): ItJCetzwRlA See this is how collaborations are supposed to be, suave, sexy, sopisticated and with belly dancing (take note Sugababes and Girls Aloud). The Freemasons remix really helped this one but even the original version is awesome! This song made number 1 for a week after putting an end to Nelly Furtado's 8 week run, only to have her come and steal the top spot back again the week after. Luckily they had the staying power and returned to number 1 the week after that for 2 more weeks.

At number 5 we have... 5: Big Girls Don't Cry - Fergie http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1741332.JPG Chart History: Fergie Big Girls Don’t Cry (37, 34, 29, 23, 20, 15, 10, 7, 6, 3, 3, 8, 2, 2, 1, 5, 4, 3, 6, 14, 13, 24, 32, 38) {24 wks} Clumsy (18, 13, 15, 16, 24) {5 wks} [still On Chart] Live at Teen Choice Awards: s2YMw_a3caA This song was the first time a Fergie track had ever entered my chart, let alone become number 1! I found London Bridge, Fergalicious and Glamorous all c**p but this song really opened my eyes to another side of the Dutchess. Plus, she had the uber hot Milo Ventimiglia in her video and that was the crunch for me. :P

6: Candyman - Christina Aguilera http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j313/predicta/BuzzJack/Candyx130.png Chart Run: (33, 29, 22, 16, 12, 7, 5, 3, 5, 9, 5, 6, 10, 11, 13, 12, 11, 7, 11, 14, 13, 16, 22, 26, 30, 38, 40) {27 wks} Live at Fashion Rocks: SObnPnLiNn4 Just missing the top 5 is my favourite diva, Christina with one of my fave songs from her Back To Basics album. Sadly, what with being downloads only it didn't set the official chart alight, but luckily managed to make number 1 on my chart. Christina has actually never made number 1 on my chart :o She's had two singles at number 2 (Ain't No Other Man; Hurt), one at number 3 (Candyman) and one at number 7 (Oh Mother)...methinks she needs to release better songs like Slow Down Baby. Ok in the top 5 we have entries from the following acts (in alphabetical order): Beyonce and Shakira Fergie Gwen Stefani Nelly Furtado Rihanna But who will chart where?? :o

7: Shut Up And Drive - Rihanna http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1746118.JPG Chart Run: (38, 39, 37, 32, 30, 26, 22, 9, 11, 11, 6, 5, 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 4, 6, 10, 9, 9, 15, 22, 33, 40) {26 wks} Live on Ellen: 3cumOrJOAfs The follow up to the amazing Umbrella, this was such a cool song with a fantastic video. Unlike it's predecessor, this song failed to make the number 1 spot but managed to stick around in the top 10 for over three months! Sadly, I'm now so bored of this song - unlike Umbrella this song wasn't catchy enough to survive the overplayings. :(

8: Girlfriend - Avril Lavigne http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSAVIE.JPG Chart Run: (36, 26, 19, 15, 7, 2, 3, 2, 2, 4, 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, 14, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 30, 36, 36, 38, 39) {26 wks} Live at MuchMusic Awards: 4ryrjKAYvA0 This song spent an amazing 10 weeks inside the top 10, incredible seeing as how it didn't reach number 1. Compared to When You're Gone this song is poop, but at the time it was fun and everyone at uni played it which made me love it all the more. Hey hey you you... :D

9: You Know I'm No Good - Amy Winehouse http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1720849.JPG Chart Run: (35, 19, 10, 9, 9, 5, 5, 5, 8, 12, 16, 18, 17, 18, 21, 19, 22, 24, 22, 25, 25, 25, 28, 27, 28, 30, 29, 39) {28 wks} Live in London: k6L90NAaY6Y There's every chance she may be drunk again in the video but again, what's new. Random fact for you, Rehab never entered my chart. Not sure why because it's a damn good song, but at the time I didn't really get what all the fuss was about. Never mind though because Amy's done damn well in this chart! And Love Is A Losing Game has followed Back to Black and this track into the top 5 so watch out for it in 2008!

10: About You Now - Sugababes http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1748515.JPG Chart Run: (31, 17, 11, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 13) {17 wks} [still on chart] Live on some TV show: cd8Qn4SYI3o The highest charting song out of those still on my chart. This song really sticks out for me as one of the best of 2007, and was a great comeback song from the Sugababes. Spent 5 weeks at number 1 and is still in the top 20. Who knows, it may well feature in the 2008 top 100 :o

Simon's Top 40 Singles Of 2007
2 of my favourite songs of the year there Simon! I LOVE Headlines, granted it's nowhere near as good as 2 Become 1 or Viva Forever, but I still think it's classic Spice Girls
