  1. 26: Something Kinda Ooh – Girls Aloud http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/FASC6.JPG Chart Run: (27, 14, 4, 3, 4, 2, 2, 5, 4, 6, 8, 12, 12, 9, 12, 11, 11, 11, 11, 12, 14, 17, 23, 22, 22, 23, 24, 22, 26, 30, 30, 31, 32, 37, 39, 40) {36 wks} 36 weeks!!! That’s pretty spectacular for a song that didn’t even make number 1! Again this song would have/should have been much higher but of course it was released last year so it’s full chart run doesn’t qualifty. Still a wicked song though. 25: Ruby – Kaiser Chiefs http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSRUBY.JPG Chart Run: (36, 24, 13, 6, 3, 3, 5, 6, 6, 12, 14, 19, 19, 21, 24, 26, 29, 30, 29, 31, 36, 37) {21 wks} The best Kaisers song ever I think…certainly out of those taken from the Angry Mob album. Such a catchy song…Not much left to add – can you tell I’m running out of things to say?? :P
  2. 28: Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely) – Pink http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697093962.JPG Chart Run: (39, 32, 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 6, 6, 11, 17, 18, 20, 21, 20, 24, 25, 27, 28, 26, 24, 27, 35) {23 wks} Love this song and I love Pink! I’m so glad she chose to release this to close off the I’m Not Dead and the video was so cool it made me rush out and buy the Live at Wembley DVD which is also fantastic. :magic: 27: I Think We’re Alone Now – Girls Aloud http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1714586.JPG Chart Run: (27, 19, 9, 4, 2, 2, 2, 5, 10, 13, 12, 12, 17, 21, 27, 27, 27, 29, 31, 34, 36) {19 wks} Not one of my favourite Girls Aloud tracks but still one of their usual fabulous numbers that makes you wanna dance. Not much else I can say about this except that it was the follow up to Something Kinda Ooh which actually continued to stay in the chart even though this song entered after it…did that make any kinda sense??
  3. 30: A Moment Like This – Leona Lewis http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697050872.JPG Chart Run: (33, 22, 7, 3, 3, 3, 2, 3, 7, 9, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 28, 30, 36, 38) {19 wks} The highest entry by a reality TV winner I believe. Being a Kelly Clarkson fan, I naturally prefer the original but Leona did a reasonably good job of it, despite the poor girl being lumbered with such a $h!t video. Ah well she’s excelled herself with Bleeding Love so it’s ok. 29: Beware Of The Dog http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDR6727.JPG Chart Run: (37, 19, 21, 10, 9, 7, 2, 2, 3, 6, 5, 4, 4, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 15, 18, 19, 23, 26, 28, 29, 33, 36, 39) {29 wks} For a woman who’s bitchiness and seemingly rubbish singing voice (sorry Simon :P ) annoy me so much, this song managed to stay around forever. I get all excited in the SU at uni when I hear the opening beats, only to be crushed when I realize it’s the original that she used as a sample. Ah well :(
  4. Yeah I heard the song on Radio 1 on the way back from Brighton on Thursday and I really like it! Have a great Christmas matey! :D

  6. 32: What Goes Around/Comes Around – Justin Timberlake http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSTIM2.JPG Chart Run: (38, 34, 25, 19, 14, 14, 16, 19, 16, 16, 16, 18, 16, 13, 16, 17, 18, 24, 24, 27, 33) {21 wks} This song is the highest non-top 10 entry in the top 100 :o Truly deserving in my opinion as it’s one of the coolest songs of the year and one of the best videos. 31: Makes Me Wonder – Maroon 5 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1734956.JPG Chart Run: (31, 24, 15, 8, 6, 5, 6, 4, 5, 10, 12, 10, 16, 14, 21, 29, 40) {17 wks} The best comeback of the year without a doubt!! With a suave video and wicked beats this song became one of my favourite Maroon 5 songs :D
  7. 34: Wake Up Call – Maroon 5 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1744501.JPG Chart Run: (38, 28, 23, 21, 12, 10, 8, 4, 1, 3, 2, 8, 7, 19, 30, 38) {16 wks} An amazing second single from an amazing second album. This song had everyone, cool beats, awesome video…and yet it still failed to do much in the charts! :( I just don’t understand it!! <_< 33: Me And My Imagination – Sophie Ellis-Bextor http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1733077.JPG Chart Run: (40, 36, 26, 23, 18, 14, 11, 10, 8, 10, 9, 12, 14, 13, 14, 19, 30, 33, 33, 37) {20 wks} I’m so much more into this song now than I was back then. Maybe it’s due to the fact that she did such an amazing job performing it as Take That’s support. All together now: We’re gonna play a game, just you and me… :D
  8. 36: Walk This Way – Girls Aloud vs Sugababes http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSCOMIC.JPG Chart Run: (40, 38, 30, 28, 20, 11, 9, 10, 10, 11, 11, 12, 14, 20, 25, 26, 27, 30, 32, 34, 35) {20 wks} The 2007 Comic Relief single didn’t manage to make the top 5 on my chart, but did seem to stick around for ages. I loved the concept of this song – 2 great girl groups combining together for charity, and the video rocks…but the song itself. No comment :P 35: Soulmate – Natasha Bedingfield http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697111992.JPG Chart Run: (34, 28, 22, 13, 10, 4, 5, 6, 3, 8, 10, 15, 19, 30, 27, 32, 37) {17 wks} The best single from N.B. in my opinion, Soulmate is that song that you want to listen to when you’re down. It’s lyrically brilliant and the video is good too. Much better than that Babies dirge.
  9. 38: Hold On – KT Tunstall http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/RELCD40.JPG Chart Run: (30, 18, 10, 8, 3, 3, 6, 6, 6, 8, 15, 15, 22, 38) {14 wks} One of the more surprising hits of the year. It’s a good song but I don’t think it’s going to be one that I listen to a lot next year to be honest. One of her more forgettable songs. 37: Bleeding Love – Leona Lewis http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697175622.JPG Chart Run: (25, 13, 6, 4, 4, 3, 2, 3, 1, 1, 2) {11 wks} [still on chart] This song has grown on me so much. I liked it but never thought it would be this big. Luckily, the fact that I don’t listen to the radio/watch music tv at uni has stopped it from being played to death and I only listen to it when I want to. So in my eyes it’s still an amazing song. :D
  10. 40: The Way I Are – Timbaland feat. Keri Wilson. http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1742316.JPG Chart Run: (36, 13, 4, 1, 1, 1, 5, 4, 7, 11, 25, 27, 31, 34) {14 wks} I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that Timbaland is the only male artist to have a number one single on my chart this year  What does that tell you about my musical tastes eh? This is another one of my favourite songs of the year and me and my mate listened to this everytime we went anywhere in his car – never got old! 39: LoveStoned (I Think She Knows) – Justin Timberlake http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v335/enduranceben/lovestoneddd.jpg Chart Run: (38, 33, 27, 21, 15, 9, 2, 4, 5, 5, 10, 9, 16, 26, 27, 34, 37) {17 wks} My favourite song on the FutureSex/LoveSounds album, closely followed by Losing My Way was kept off the number 1 spot by Avril Lavigne. Despite the cheapness of the video and the bad facial fuzz, the song is still one of my personal faves of 2007.
  11. 42: Valerie – Mark Ronson feat. Amy Winehouse. http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697186332.JPG Chart Run: (24, 15, 7, 5, 3, 5, 9, 8, 9, 12, 17, 18) {11 wks} [still on chart] I must admit that I never did like the Zutons version of this song but I think I just said that because they had a silly name and I probably didn’t give the song that much of a listen to. Anyway I love this version and I think Amy’s er…unique vocals really make the song. Unfortunately, I can see this slipping down my chart quickly because since I’ve been back home from uni it’s on the music channels all the time. <_< Why do they always overplay the songs I like?? 41: Chick Fit – All Saints http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDR6735.JPG Chart Run: (39, 32, 17, 8, 3, 6, 6, 12, 20, 21, 21, 20, 24, 23, 26, 28, 31, 35, 36, 40) {20 wks} Due to the total floppage of their album Studio 1, All Saints really cut back on this release with a cheap video and an even cheaper single cover. Still it was a banging tune and didn’t really deserve to do as badly as it did but there we go. The British public were probably busy buying Akon or something. -_-
  12. 44: Patience – Take That http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1714832.JPG Chart Run: (37, 16, 7, 5, 1, 2, 4, 6, 5, 6, 7, 5, 10, 15, 18, 24, 26, 29, 34, 38) {20 wks} Another 2006 survivor :D This was my last year personal chart Christmas number 1! Patience was a great comeback and did amazingly well to stick around for so long in 2007. OMG it just came on my iTunes…that’s just spooky :o 43: Do It Well – Jennifer Lopez http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697176452.JPG Chart Run: (26, 19, 13, 9, 4, 3, 5, 6, 11, 14, 34) {11 wks} This was another song that seemed to move down the chart at amazing speed. Not sure why because it’s a good tune…I seem to think it had something to do with Lopez being on TV everytime I turned it on. Too much promotion JLO!!
  13. 46: Carolyna – Melanie C http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDREDG4.JPG Chart Run: (36, 28, 21, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, 5, 9, 12, 20, 24, 31, 32, 39) {16 wks} The only solo spice’s single ever to make it onto my chart. I have to say that both I Want Candy and Carolyna made me purchase Mel’s album This Time and I was left sorely disappointed as only these two singles stood out. Shame cos I love Melanie. :( 45: Foundations – Kate Nash http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1735509.JPG Chart Run: (35, 9, 2, 2, 4, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 31, 40) {12 wks} This song was weird. I started off detesting it cos I thought she was a chav. Then I liked it so entered it low in my chart. The next two months I loved it so it quickly reached and stayed in the top 10…and then I got bored of it so it slipped out of the top 40 all together 2 weeks later. Now I like it again. Isn’t life odd?
  14. 48: In Gods Hands – Nelly Furtado http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/265/ingodshandsck6.jpg Chart Run: (35, 25, 19, 8, 7, 6, 3, 4, 9, 13, 28, 23, 31, 37, 40) {15 wks} The first of god knows how many releases by Nelly on the chart. I think she needs to stop releasing off Loose now, surely everyone has the album! And no one else cares about the singles. I think this era is best left alone. Do It, Maneater and Promiscuous didn’t manage to make this top 100, but the latter 2 singles were massive in last year’s YTD chart so they are excused. Do It however, is a pile of poop. 47: Tell Me – P Diddy feat. Christina Aguilera http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/AT0268CD.JPG Chart Run: (36, 34, 28, 20, 11, 14, 18, 17, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 14, 18, 21, 25, 26, 30, 32, 38, 40) {22 wks} YAY CHRISTINA AGAIN! Did I mention I loved Christina?? :P Well what can I say? This song was a blessing as it reminded everyone who was sick of the Back To Basics stuff that Christina could still do R&B sassiness. Awesome tune!
  15. 50: Love Today – Mika http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELMIKACDS.JPG Chart Run: (33, 27, 21, 14, 11, 10, 12, 14, 19, 22, 24, 27, 26, 25, 29, 30, 33, 40) {18 wks} And so we come to the half way point with Mika’s Love Today. This is one of the better tracks off his album though I was very surprised that he picked it as his follow up single to Grace Kelly. Nevertheless, I think Mika may be the most successful male artist on my chart this year :D 49: Alfie/Shame For You – Lily Allen http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDREG141.JPG Chart Run: (37, 32, 22, 16, 10, 10, 11, 13, 12, 15, 17, 24, 26, 32, 32, 35, 36, 38, 39) {19 wks} Wahey! My favourite Lily Allen release – for Alfie, Shame for You I’m not so keen on. The song, the video – everything about this song I just LOVE. Can’t wait for Lily’s follow up album I hope it’s as good as Alright Still.
