Perry's Top 100 of 2007
So that's the bottom half of the chart done :D In a minute I'll write up a summary of the songs so far :D

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
52: Apologize – Timbaland feat. OneRepublic http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1750152.JPG Chart Run: (32, 27, 19, 11, 3, 4, 7, 8, 7, 8, 11) {11 wks} [still on chart] I’m really surprised this has peaked so high considering it’s still charting. Never mind thought because I love this song with a capital L. I think it’s definitely one of the best songs from Timbaland’s Shock Value album, plus it’s opened up everyone’s eyes to the mighty OneRepublic…though it has to be said that the lead singer does look constipated in the video. 51: Lithium – Evanescence http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697042082.JPG Chart Run: (34, 23, 11, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 24, 26, 28, 31, 33, 40) {16 wks} What has happened to Evanescence. They had a really promising start to the year with Lithium following the success of last year’s hit Call Me When You’re Sober, but after they fizzled out big time. But Sweet Sacrifice failed to chart and Good Enough is sitting down at number 166 on the YTD chart. Their record company needs to get its arse into gear and get them the hits they deserve.

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
54: Hey There Delilah – Plain White Ts http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/ANGECD52.JPG Chart Run: (22, 13, 14, 10, 8, 8, 10, 14, 18, 18, 17, 31, 39) {13 wks} This is such a lovely song, and I can’t remember when I heard it for the first time. I seem to remember that I didn’t like it that much at first but now I love it :D Boring video though. 53: 1973 – James Blunt http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/AT0285CD.JPG Chart Run: (22, 16, 7, 6, 5, 5, 7, 7, 16, 17, 34, 39) {12 wks} Ugh. Ok let’s start off with the positives. This is the second best James Blunt release after Wise Men. Also the video isn’t that bad, though he desperately needs to shave and cut his hair. Ok negatives. His voice is annoying as f*** and he comes across as a complete tit. All in all I like this song but if I never heard it again I don’t think I’d care.

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
56: Anything – JoJo http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/7052/56dq1.jpg Chart Run: (37, 34, 33, 32, 23, 21, 17, 18, 14, 16, 15, 21, 22, 21, 19, 23, 32, 37) {18 wks} The follow up to my personal chart number 1: Too Little Too Late. Anything only got to number 14 and this was mainly due to the lack of video (I do like to watch a good video on the music channels…) Still it’s a breezy little tune and another one that reminds me of my work placement which I have fond memories of. ^_^ 55: Irreplaceable – Beyonce http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697025021.JPG Chart Run: (40, 20, 8, 1, 2, 3, 5, 5, 4, 3, 4, 3, 3, 5, 7, 8, 3, 10, 16, 17, 25, 28, 31, 33, 38) {25 wks} This was one of my favourite songs in 2006 and spent the first 6 weeks of 2007 in the top 10. This is probably Beyonce’s best song in my opinion and the video was quite good too – plus, it looked like she hadn’t let her mum dress her for a change which is probably why she didn’t look hideous like she did when she was in Destiny’s Child.

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
58: Oh My God – Mark Ronson feat. Lily Allen http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697113172.JPG Chart Run: (38, 35, 33, 26, 18, 10, 7, 7, 7, 11, 13, 25, 28, 32, 39) {15 wks} Yes here she is again at number 58 with the fabulous Mark Ronson. I’d never heard this song before this version and had no idea the Kaiser Chiefs had sung it previously. “Oh that’s why they’re in the video then!” Man I can be incredibly thick when I want to be. 57: Outta Control (Song 4 Mutya) – Groove Armada feat. Mutya Buena http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697114322.JPG Chart Run: (32, 8, 1, 3, 2, 5, 9, 9, 17, 34, 36, 39) {12 wks} Ah this song was the song of my summer without a doubt! I loved it! It even spent a week at number 1 which meant that it was the first (and the last) dance act of the year to reach the top spot of my chart. Go Mutya! :D

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
60: Happy Ending – Mika http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1749143.JPG Chart Run: (23, 16, 12, 11, 8, 7, 5, 12, 26, 30, 31) {12 wks} Much better choice of single than the dire Big Girls. The video for this one is really lovely too. If only he’d released it later it may have been my Christmas number 1. Nevertheless, Lollipop and Relax, Take It Easy have just entered my chart so maybe they’ll hit the top spot…or not. 59: Littlest Things – Lily Allen http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDREG140.JPG Chart Run: (39, 36, 22, 16, 9, 8, 10, 8, 9, 13, 17, 19, 16, 20, 26, 32, 35, 40) {18 wks} Ah gotta love Lily Allen :D I have to say this is my least favourite of her releases but it’s still a cracking tune which spent 5 weeks inside the top 10 of my chart. Lily had both Smile and LDN in the 2006 YTD chart- both inside the top 20 actually. Sadly she hasn’t done as well this year but she does have another 2 entries to go. Speaking of which…

BOYAN's 2007 Year End Charts (TOP 100 Singles+TOP 50 ALBUMS)
From the list so far I own: Razorlight - don't like it, the lead singer's voice grates on me. Girls Aloud - only listened to it once all the way through...not sure what I think yet. Christina - LOVE this album but not as good as Stripped James Morrison - one of my favourite albums of the last couple of years. Avril - yeah like this album but some of the album tracks are a bit annoying. Kelly - definitely not as good as Breakaway but most of the tracks are cool. Sugababes - loved it from first listen :D
-
Garys Top 100 Of 2007
Some songs in there I haven't heard of but the rest are amazing - LoveStoned is my fave ever Justin song, and I'm loving the new Sugababes song too!! Pink, Sophie, Matt Willis - all awesome :D

Radio 2 - 22nd December
I've set my alarm to remind me to listen - hopefully can listen online and record some of it :D

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
62: Hot – Avril Lavigne http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697170362.JPG Chart Run: (35, 26, 12, 8, 6, 5, 7, 9, 12, 22) {10 wks} [still on chart] The first of 3 outings for Avril on my top 100. Hot is her latest single from her Best Damn Thing album and it’s a good song - one of my faves (along with Runaway and Innocence). The video is amazing though  61: No U Hang Up – Shayne Ward http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697131702.JPG Chart Run: (33, 23, 20, 14, 12, 5, 10, 10, 9, 15, 32, 39) {12 wks} We got that you hang up no you hang up kinda love :P Ok I know it’s cheesy but god I love it!! His album’s really good too!! Oh Lord I sound like one of those 14 year old girls that stalk him and make the posters saying “Shayne we love you!” Well let’s just point out now that I didn’t vote for Shayne to win X Factor – mainly cos I was too skint :P

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
64: Starz In Their Eyes – Just Jack http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1721211.JPG Chart Run: (40, 33, 26, 23, 22, 19, 13, 13, 17, 20, 21, 22, 25, 28, 33, 34, 36, 39) {18 wks} Like Booty Luv, this is another song that surprised me. It has that kind of The Streets feel to it (and I hate the Streets <_<) but it’s also very catchy. I remember at the time I was on placement and Scott Mills used to play it nearly every afternoon. Good times :D 63: Green Light – Beyonce http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/9435/63re0.jpg Chart Run: (40, 37, 32, 22, 15, 15, 12, 12, 15, 12, 16, 16, 29, 34) {14 wks} A great song from Beyonce with a cool video. I think the Freemasons mix definitely helped the song perform better. Annoyingly whenever I’m stuck behind someone who doesn’t immediately move when the light turns green, all I can think of is “You’re holding up traffic – green means GO!” :P
-
Perry's Top 100 of 2007
66: Signal Fire – Snow Patrol http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1734759.JPG Chart Run: (37, 30, 27, 24, 23, 23, 21, 16, 14, 18, 16, 17, 20, 28, 38) {15 wks} Spiderman, Spiderman does whatever a spider can. Well Spiderman didn’t manage to get into my top 100 so I assume a spider didn’t either. Luckily Snow Patrol did with Signal Fire the soundtrack to Spiderman 3. The video for this song is pure class and really helped what is quite a bland song in my opinion. 65: Mouthwash – Kate Nash http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1744949.JPG Chart Run: (32, 21, 19, 13, 9, 5, 6, 12, 15, 22, 34) {11 wks} Mouthwash is the follow up to Foundations and if you ask me (which I know you didn’t but I’m gonna tell you anyway) her singles are getting poorer and poorer. Pumpkin Soup is currently at #15 on my chart but I don’t know if it will follow it’s predecessors into the top 5.

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
68: 2 Hearts – Kylie Minogue http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PREKYELESCDS.JPG Chart Run: (14, 7, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6) {7 wks} [still on chart] It was the comeback that seemed to divide people. You either loved it or hated it. I loved it. That’s why it’s sticking around my chart like a nice, petit, Australian smell. Definitely one of my fave Kylie songs. :D 67: Rock Steady – All Saints http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDRS6726.JPG Chart Run: (24, 13, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 6, 12, 13, 11, 8, 12, 11, 18, 16, 18, 19, 23, 30, 34, 37) {23 wks} Another of the 2006 crowd to stay on chart into 2007. This was one of my faves last year and stayed at number 1 for a month. Their album was amazing, not sure why it flopped so badly :(

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
70: Hate That I Love You – Rihanna feat. Ne Yo http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1751369.JPG Chart Run: (36, 29, 24, 11, 10, 11, 10, 11, 13, 12) {10 wks} [still on chart] This is my one of my favourite songs from Rihanna’s Good Girl Gone Bad album along with the title track, Umbrella and Don’t Stop The Music. Sadly it failed to crack the top 5 on my chart, but is still managing to stick around in the top 15. It’s been an amazing year for Rihanna on my chart with 2 more of her singles to come. But will Umbrella be number 1? Only time will tell. :P 69 Rule The World – Take That http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1746285.JPG Chart Run: (37, 30, 14, 10, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 19) {10 wks} [still on chart] After the dismal release of I’d Wait For Life, Take That re-released their album and included this amazing track upon it. The theme to the movie Stardust – which I never did get round to seeing btw, is it any good?? – this song has been hanging around both my chart and the official chart for aaaages. Only difference is that on my chart it’s falling

|Ryan's Top 20 Songs of 2007|
Yeah same here! I really like it now but at the time it was like what is this rubbish  Love that Avril song too, Ryan, that and Innocence are my faves from this era :D Not got into that Bloc Party one.

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
72: Hurt – Christina Aguilera http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697025042.JPG Chart Run: (37, 25, 13, 6, 2, 4, 6, 8, 8, 7, 7, 6, 9, 10, 13, 19, 19, 22, 23, 30, 31, 36, 39) {23 wks} Awww Christina my love  Another beautiful track from a rather beautiful lady :D Hurt is one of my favourite tracks from Back To Basics and it’s only this low because it spent more time on chart in 2006. I remembered how much I loved this song after seeing Hope butcher it on X Factor…made me want to remind myself just how great the original was. 71: Kiss You Off – Scissor Sisters http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/6482/71dd7.jpg Chart Run: (35, 28, 23, 17, 15, 18, 17, 18, 16, 19, 23, 26, 37) {13 wks} 2007 really wasn’t a good year for the Scissor Sisters. This was the only one of their songs to make it into the top 100 and is extremely low considering I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ was in the top 5 in last year’s chart. Let’s just hope they bring another great album out soon.

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
74: Call The Shots – Girls Aloud http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1753047.JPG Chart Run: (26, 12, 6, 6, 5, 2, 1) {7 wks} [still on chart] Currently number 1 on my personal chart :D Loving this song so much right now and it’ll probably stick around for ages like Girls Aloud’s songs tend to do on my chart. Girls Aloud have had a whopping 5 singles in my personal chart this year and all 5 of them have made their way into the top 100! This song will probably end up doing quite well on the 2008 YTD chart. 73: Stronger – Kanye West http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSKANY.JPG Chart Run: (40, 31, 21, 15, 11, 7, 6, 7, 9, 30, 39) {11 wks} Ah Kanye, what a pleb. See I really liked this song at one point…sadly though Mr. West decided to have a hissy fit about not receiving an MTV award – I believe his words were “give a black man a chance”. Pfft sounds like someone needs to get over himself. Anyway after that childish outburst I rapidly went off both him and the song which explains the drop from 9 to 30. :D

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
76: Say It Again – Natasha Bedingfield feat. Adam Levine http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c315/JackTatton/BuzzJack/natbed.jpg Chart Run: (30, 21, 16, 14, 9, 8, 7, 18, 28, 38) {10 wks} One of the better songs off of a very mediocre album IMO. This song would have charted higher but I was gutted that Maroon 5’s Adam Levine had his vocals cut for the single release – it made the song!! Grrr stupid record companies. <_< Anyway, Natasha appears 2 more times in the chart which is something to look forward to (that’s my way of telling myself that I will finish this countdown even if it kills me! ) 75: Tears Dry On Their Own – Amy Winehouse http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1744792.JPG Chart Run: (28, 17, 14, 20, 23, 20, 19, 15, 21, 24, 32, 36, 40) {13 wks} Looking at my chart, this song went up and down more times than Jodie Marsh’s knickers on a night out. I do like this song despite it being her lowest charting single on my personal chart. The problem was that my mum overplayed it since getting her hands on my album. What a kerfuffle. Incidently, her new single Love Is A Losing Game is currently in my top 5 and appeared on the YTD chart at number 130.

Perry's Top 100 of 2007
78: The Pieces Don’t Fit Anymore – James Morrison http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/6123/78im6.jpg Chart Run: (39, 25, 21, 19, 19, 18, 21, 20, 20, 21, 20, 21, 27, 29, 32, 36, 39, 39) {18 wks} One of my favourite James Morrison songs and his album is one of the best from last year. Didn’t chart very high but stayed on chart for nearly 20 weeks which is awesome for a song that barely cracked the top 20. :D 77: Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) – Spice Girls http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/HEADCD100.JPG Chart Run: (29, 17, 9, 2, 2, 3, 8) {7 wks} [still on chart] I love this Spice Girls song. I know many think it’s a poor comeback but they performed it brilliantly on tour (even if it caused loads of people to sit down). Still not sure why they’re all in their bras in the video but there we go. Melanie C rocks in this song :D
-
Perry's Top 100 of 2007
80: Easy – Sugababes http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/SUGA-EASY12.JPG Chart Run: (39, 33, 19, 12, 10, 4, 5, 3, 3, 6, 9, 18, 19, 18, 17, 14, 15, 14, 18, 20, 25, 31, 36) {23 wks} As with Snow Patrol, this song was quite prominent in 2006’s chart which explains why it’s so low down in 2007. I still love this song – it’s not one of their best which in my opinion include Red Dress and Push The Button, but it’s definitely not one of their worst and makes a worthy entry at number 80. ^_^ 79: If That’s Ok With You – Shayne Ward http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697131702.JPG Chart Run: (38, 29, 17, 16, 14, 13, 11, 12, 22, 33) {10 wks} The first of two entries for X Factor winner Shayne Ward. His latest single Breathless is currently fighting Girls Aloud and Sugababes for the Christmas number 1 spot. This song is really catchy and I think the only reason it didn’t make top 10 was because…well there were 10 better songs out that didn’t have an Akon like squeak in the background.
